Join the 3rd International Squeaky Wheel Tour or SWT for the Missing from October 17-November 4, 2008. Join James Valentine of Maroon 5, Vanessa Carlton, Dane Clark of John Mellencamp's Band, Drake Bell from The Drake & Josh Show, Monet from Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Susan Gibson and many others who've been part of a grassroots effort to gain attention for missing people.

We are inviting your venue to be a part of this international effort to gain attention for your local missing. We just need you to say, yes. It's simple yet effective to join artists/venues all over the world during the Squeaky Wheel Tour by profiling missing people local at one or more of your already booked gigs during SWT October 17-November 4, 2008. You bring awareness to local missing people while performing and keeping your gig profits. To join James, Drake, and the rest click here: http://411gina.org/artists..fill out the information, email it to us, we will: post only your gig info on our site and assign you a missing person from your area. You print out your assigned missing persons flyer and make copies for your audience members. We supply a script and a press release on our site for your convenience. Then, at your event simply ask your audience to take a flyer to post in the local area. People are FOUND. Collectively to date: over 300 people have been found that were profiled by artists/venues like you. You will be on our master email list and we will guide you through each step of the way. Feel free to ask questions.

Background on GINA: Jannel Rap's sister, Gina Bos, a singer/songwriter walked out to her car after a performance in Lincoln, NE Oct. 17, 2000 and vanished. She has not been seen since. In her honor, Jannel created GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation, a nonprofit that utilizes entertainment to gain attention for missing people. There are 100,000's of 1000's of missing people world-wide and because most of them simply vanish without a story the media can cover we do not hear about them. GINA has become a family of artists who unite to profile missing people at their already booked events throughout the year, but especially during SWT Oct 17-Nov 4.Thanks for your time.---------------------------------------

Dear Friends,
My name is Deanna Pino, after many years of struggling to understand and put the pieces of my life together, I recently started to speak out and get involve concerning the missing. I discovered GINA for Missing Persons organization through my local music community and have teamed up with Jannel to reach out to those who are missing a loved one or if you are missing and stumble across this page, to know you are not alone. And if you've been recovered, to please speak out and talk about your experience to everyone you know!

An only child, my parents had just divorced. It was 1973 and on this particular beautiful sunny southern California day, a day when there wasn't much concern for being kidnapped. I kissed my mother good-bye, as I made her drop me off away from the other kids, so that it made me feel at the tender age of 6, that I was a "grown up". I waved good-bye from the side walk and told her I loved her, as my mom watched me from the car, I walked inside the front doors of my school. Little did I know on that day the course of my life would change forever.

In minutes, I went from my local elementary school in North Hollywood to a plane ride to Canada with my father who I adored and trusted. Constantly on-the-go, we traveled through out Europe and the United States, I was stripped of my identity and was not found til I was 12 years old.  Fast forwarding, my mother found us only to go through a series of custody battles once again, after she already had legal custody. Back in the 1970's my father's crime was not considered a felony and the law did not protect me. Even though I was technically "recovered" my journey to having a relationship with my mother took a total of 18 years before we were truly reunited.

At 24, it wasn't until I had a psychotic break that I realized that I had been kidnapped, brain washed, stripped of my identity, emotionally and sexually abused. I do not have a relationship with my father because he is unhealthy and refuses to speak to me. And my mother and I have finally repaired our relationship and have become very close. It amazes me that because of this one event, it has affected me in all areas of my life. However, through lots of great therapy and a strong support system, I have worked through so much. And now I stand on the other side of being found and recovered!

If you are reading this and you would like to reach out. My intention is provide a space where we can discuss your experience and help you talk this through. If you are missing, please find a way to get to your local authorities. And if you have a missing loved one and would like some perspective, lets talk. And if you are recovered start speaking out....
