Hello, guys and ghouls!

In honor of this month of Halloween which marks our fifth year in existence, Jami Deadly and I would like to formally announce to you all about "Deadly Cinema: The 5th Anniversary", which will premiere this Christmas!

Character sketches and sample pages can be found in our Photos section, and our comic's artist, Scott D.M. Simmons (of "Halloween Man" and "Wannabez" fame) will have a table at this year's "Ohio Comic Con", taking place October 25th and 26th in Columbus!

More news about the comic book to come (including special Christmas appearances by Miss Deadly herself) very soon! Have a safe and deadly Halloween!

Jami Deadly and "Deadly Cinema" are pleased to announce the positive reception that she and the show received at the first annual "Texas Frightmare Weekend" in Grapevine, TX!

On Saturday (Feb 4th), Jami and her "Deadly" entourage sold several copies of the show DVD at her booth, met and chatted with Joe Bob Briggs and Professor Griffin (of Fangoria TV), and had a scary-fun time!

On Sunday (Feb 5th), an episode of "Deadly Cinema" was the opening act for the screening theater, and Lloyd Kaufman (head of "Troma") introduced Jami onstage for her Q&A, and liked the episode so much that he gave his own seal of approval by declaring it "better than Elvira"! (Aw, shucks, Lloyd!)

And if all that wasn't enough, Jami was asked by the head of the TFW to host the DVD of the event (via her pink coffin of course)! Also, look out for an interview with Jami by horror actress Heidi Martinuzzi (www.thehorrorpost.com) in the near future!

Jami was featured in Sunday's "Dallas Morning News" about her current status as the top Marilyn Monroe-impersonator in the Lone Star State! Below is an excerpt that talks about the award-winning "Deadly Cinema", or you can read the full article about everything Jami!:

"Dallas Morning News" Article (October 8, 2006)

From 2003 to 2005, she played Jami Deadly, star of "Deadly Cinema" on the University of North Texas' cable television station, NTTV.

As a bubblegum-pink version of horror movie host "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark", Jami Deadly lived in a cemetery with her friends, including a severed head, wacky neighborhood zombie and her boyfriend, a werewolf.

Her on-air wardrobe included a polka-dot bikini, pink beret and "Leave It To Beaver"-style dresses.

Now the bad-movie tribute series has its own cult following, and Ms. Edwards has appeared as Jami Deadly in magazines and horror movie conventions.

Although it might seem a strange combination – Marilyn impersonator and B-movie maven – Ms. Edwards sees a connection.

"I always cheer on the underdog," she said. "I like to understand the creatures that are most misunderstood, the ones people haven't given a chance."
