Yeayeah! Angulo is flying off to Cebu this weekend, Jan17-19 for the Sinulog Festival!

We'revery honored to have been invited to perform at the 3rd Annual SonicBoom Sinulog Blast Off! We're gonna be sharing the stage with SonicBoom heavyweights Urbandub, Faspitch, The Ambassadors, and Still, along with Cebu's very own The Line Divides, Powerspoonz, Pelican Street, Detached, and Pointblank! Also performing are Manila's awesome rock acts Kjwan, Taken by Cars, Nyctinasty, and Intolerant, plus Singapore sensations West Grand Boulevard!
It'sgonna be a great night of partying. We actually rearranged some of oursongs para mas may dating for our new audience there. There's a reasonwhy Cebu City is called the Breeder of Modern Philippine Rock and weManila acts have to raise our flag down there in Visayas. I've beentalking to the guys from Taken and Kjwan and everybody's pumped! Cebuget ready for us! =)
Sa lahat ng mga Cebuano friends namin fromall our sites who have been messaging us and texting us to perform inCebu, here's your chance to see us live. We can't wait. We'll beselling copies of our CD there too!

-- Our 3rd single, and my personal favorite song of ours, "Lost inTranslation", is now being played at NU107 and is getting heavyairplay! Help it follow the footsteps of "The Best Mistake" and "FLS"and send it all the way up to the top of the Stairway to Seven! Textnuvote..Lost by Angulo and send to 29107! Medyo mahirapang labanan ngayon with the wonderful new singles of Pupil and SpongeCola also just released pero alam kong kaya natin yan! :D
-- Still on the NU107 front, The Best Mistake and FLS landed on no.8 and no.16 respectively in their Year-End 2008 Countdown! We were the only band to have two songs in the Top 20! What thehell?!?!? Yeayeah! :D As an avid NU107 fanboy/listener the last 20years, i must say that its an honor to be included in this prestigiouslist, plus to have been nominated in 5 categories in last year's RockAwards. (Seriously... what the fuck?? 4 years ago nasa audience langako umeepal at nakikigulo!!)
-- Speaking of, the NU107 RockAwards 2008 will be aired on Myx on Jan29 I think. If you weren'tthere to witness it live, you won't see our performance pa rin cuz weplayed sa pre-show, and you all probably already know that we didn'twin squat, but you can see the cool graphics they did of us during thenominations! -- We'll be shootinga video soon for our 4th and possibly final single (kung di nyo pa alamkung ano yon... secret!) and we're hoping that the music channels willbe playing it by April or May. Malamig na awitin para sa mainit napanahon. Haha.
-- We're in the pages of the new issue ofBanda Mag (Parokya ni Edgar cover). "The Best Mistake" is #50 in theirTop 50 Songs of 2008 list! For some of you it may seem like nakalusotlang kami, but for a struggling indie band like us, it is surely anhonor to have one of our songs selected in a year-end Best Of list in anationwide publication. Thank you Jayson Paor and the staff of BandaMag!
-- WE'RE MAKING ANGULO SHIRTS!!! FINALLY!!! Sana sa endof the month or beginning of Feb meron na. The designs have alreadybeen made and chosen. Take note, plural. Designs. Hahaha. :D
-- We'd also like to thank everybody, EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU, who supportedus noong 2008. Dahil sa inyo we have surpassed many goals. Exactlyone year ago, "Blur the White Lines" was released. We didn't realizethat many of you would love it as much as you do now. Akala namin,"Sige gawa lang tayo ng album tapos bahala na". Now that we're goingto start writing new songs again for a new album, we will have all ofyou in mind. Those that have been with us from the beginning, andthose that just heard about us today. Kahit minsan nakakalimutan kopangalan nyo pag nagkikita tayo sa gigs (Sino ba sa inyo yung tinawagkong Joy? Yes yes yes!!! thanks to everyone supporting us we have now made it to the 5th spot on this weeks stairway to seven!!! no. 5 has never felt this good before (i guess its because we’ve never been on the stairway EVER) hehehe...it being the bands first time, I must say it’s a great feeling to hear your music on air plus to have people believe in it enough to even send in a text message to vote!!! How great is that? its LEGENDARY!!!

We just posted a new song, Drowning in My Sleep... your third (and probably last) taste of what's included in our debut album, Blur the White Lines, before it comes out within the next month or so.
The album inlay is 90% done, and the thank yous, credits, and acknowledgements have been written (Are you in it? Wait and see. Hehe.).
Medyo quiet lang kami with the gigs lately, cuz we are dead tired working overtime in the studio, except Johncy, who's working on his wedding on the 14th. Hurray! Or boo! Whichever way you wanna look at it! (Personally i think it's boo. Haha.)
So aside from this Sunday's Rock the Riles gig at Shaw Blvd MRT Station (Taraaaaaaaa! Kasama AMS and Chicosci!), and the K! Christmas party in Guijo, we're practically on hiatus.
BUT, we promise to open 2008 with a bang. Or several bangs. Whatever. We'll discuss this more in the next blog post. =)
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy Drowning in My Sleep. It's a bit harder than Lost, or Best, but it's our co-producer Gabby Alipe's favorite song among our 10+ tracks, so we hope you enjoy it, too. Oh, and if you look at the title, why does it say NO MC? What does it mean? You'll have to get the album to find out. It's a doozy. =)

Hi guys,
Time for some emo-ness.
From the moment that we decided to join the WBOB once again I always
said that if we didn't get in the Final 3 of this years competition it
would really, really hurt.
And yes my friends, not to be blessed with the opportunity to at least
compete once again in the final 3 is an undeniable heart break, one
that takes some time before it hits you. Whereas last year we were the
little fish among the heavyweights we felt that this year we really
had a fighting chance.
I guess it wasn't meant to be. We gave it our best shot, but that's
just the way the world works – you don't always get what you think
you
deserve, and you don't always deserve what you get.
But we move on.
Finally we have a name for the album... watch out for Blur the White
Lines in the final quarter of 2007. We're in the final stages of
recording and will be launching our official website soon (yes more
naked pictures of Johncy hahaha).
We will also be gigging quite aggressively in the coming months so
check out myspace.com/angulomusic and angulomusic.multiply.com
for updates on dates and venues.
Our heartfelt thank you for everyone who voted. We wouldn't have
reached it this far if it weren't for you guys. Salamat sa mga walang

Thank you for everyone who has been very supportive of Angulo's bid to represent the Philippines in the 2007 World Battle of the Bands Philippine leg. No matter how many times I hear our song played over NU107 I still can't help but feel so blessed that we have been given the opportunity to make our music be heard by so many people – there is no other thing that can give a band such a sense of fulfillment.
And yes... we are still working hard on the album. I know its been a long wait but we promise to make sure not to disappoint you guys.
Again thanks to everyone who deemed as worthy a few minutes of their time and a few pesos!
