Current mood:  creative

I figured I might as well put something up here in the meantime. This was my first pretty long term band in Miami, FL. We were inspired by Fear Factory, Death, Aphex Twin, Dream Theater, Slipknot.

Cyberdyne - Hype (live, 2001)

Lineup:

Giann Rubio (drums) - Aghora, Giann Rubio
Kleaver Donnovan (guitar)
Eber Pitrelli (guitar) - EB 11
Carlos Crespo (electronics, vocals) - Incode, D/ffector, Effector
Michael Clifford (bass) - Left Brain, Cacol

Almost all these fools (seven years later) are still in dedicated bands and making music. These were some good times, I think it inspired us to keep on going with things.

Sometimes I miss the Metallic Blue SR-885. But never the Ampeg rig.

2001 - Super flashy death metal drummer

2007 - Mongolian prog genius

Old School Carlos

2007 - Carlos/EP209/Effector/Whatever He Calls Himself Now

Old School Eber

2007 - Fancy glam shots in Spain/Italy/Somewhere

The Ferry

come into being
all my fears and nightmares

this is my heart leading me
into a hole with you

i will play this feeling out
until it ferries you
one step closer to
what you thought
you lost

over the water,
the ferry

i will bury
i will plant

the disappointment
along the way

This will probably be the title of whatever I put out, if I ever put anything out. I forget where I ran across this idea, I think in a book by Ramdas. Here is a rendition that I found online-

The Parable of the Salt Doll.
A long time ago, the salt doll wandered across the land. She traveled over mountains, forests and deserts alone for many years.

One day, as the salt doll reached the end of the land, she came upon a beautiful, shimmering blue mass that seemed to stretch on forever.

"What are you?" The salt doll asked.

"Come in and find out," replied the sea, with a smile on its face.

The salt doll waded into the sea, and slowly began dissolve.

The further it waded in, the more she dissolved. Finally, as the last bit of salt was dissolving, the salt doll exclaimed wondrously:

"At last! I know what I am."

To me it's about approaching the absolute, a higher consciousness that you can't really comprehend or experience unless you let go of everything, dissolve the ego.

Edit: here is a pretty in depth interpretation of this idea- http://www.nonduality.com/salt.htm
