ey ey lovelies
I'm doing a New Years Eve gig in Arezzo, Italy this year... and to celebrate I've uploaded the track "Black and Blue" which is a collaboration with Arezzo's finest Electro doods, Presslaboys, back in 2008...
Enjoy, and, if you can get to Tuscany for a party to end all parties, do!!!!

He thought about it every day
Of the sound and of the feel of the hurricane
Every time he closed or opened his eyes
He'd dream of making contact
He'd dream of heavy skies
He'd dream that he could conjure a great magnetic storm
To ward away the others
To leave them all alone
He longed to feel the danger
The branches that could snap
The panic and the peril
The bones that could be cracked
The wind...
The wind...
"I'll pin it on the devil
I'll be exempt from blame
I'll pin it on a million things but the facts remain the same
I'll creep under the covers
I'll sure be swept away
I'll sure be swept away
I'll sure be swept away."
I'll sure be swept away.
I'll sure be swept away.
I'll sure be swept away.

Thanks to the amazing gig at the Donaukanal, I have written a new song today. Here it is!!
Guess I'm at a crossroads Guessing I'm the one to choose Guessing out of those roads There's a hundred ways to lose Guessing that if I stall If I wait for fate to call Guessing this is quicksand Guessing I'm about to fall
A hundred is a thousand Is a million ways to die A million is an army Is an airforce in the sky A sky is but a ceiling Whether glass or styrofoam Materials are useless Materials are all I've got again
Nothing ever makes us change So we carry on the same Nothing but an ounce of pain Forces hands, forces arms If we never rearrange Water floods and water drowns Putting out fires Putting out fires
Lately I'm reserving Every place that I can find Lately I been gathering Claiming everything is mine But choice is not an object Not an altar nor a shrine So tell me when I'm praying Who am I to feel divine
Nothing ever makes us change
So we carry on the same
Nothing but an ounce of pain
Forces hands, forces arms
If we never rearrange
Water floods and water drowns
Putting out fires
Putting out fires

My dear, dear readers..
I have had a feeling, for quite a while now, that all that was exciting about the internet has somehow been killed.. be it through an over-abundance of self-serving-html-coding-ad-bot bands on myspace, by the sheer weight of choice of what to listen to, or, indeed (and this is my main diagnosis), by the spread of Facebook.
I myself for a long time was a Facebook hater. I found it a shallow way to "connect" with my real-life friends, yet far too intrusive and personal for my fan-friends or acquaintances. It's funny how the world changes so quickly nowadays, it's actually, ridiculously, leading us back to our original form - the Band Website. Facebook isn't customisable at all for bands, so that's a no-no, at least maybe it's useful just for LINKING to the band website. Twitter is, for obvious reasons, the same - excellent for linking, but in itself, rubbish for creating something interesting. Myspace had been the only site that combined an excellent creative platform with an outstanding networking platform. It is, however, no longer the latter. Facebook has become (by far) the best platform for information-spreading, and indeed, friend recommendation. What is a shame is that it has no real link to art, music, film, culture - at least, not a DIRECT link, whereby it becomes PART of the virtual world we inhabit.
So, what we have now is what we started with, people - websites which link PEOPLE to eachother, but puts the spreading of art back into the hands of those people. There is good to come of this; no more annoying band add requests (which now make up 90% of my requests, and which get turned down), no more html flyering, and even better, no fake-gratitude by bands who couldn't give a damn about the listener, just as long as there is an extra number on their friends count. It's back to basics, people. Be good, give away stuff, spread your art through creating your art to the best of your ability. I, for one, am petrified by what's going to happen next, but at least it gives me a reason to start again. It's time to dissect, destroy and put back. I, for one, can't fucking wait.

Dear Reader,
Well, I have been a misery guts of late. Six months of lack of direction, no traveling, and just general depression. All this collided to make a spectactular implosion a few days ago - finally! I've waited almost a year to cry, and I, dear reader, am a weeper, it's true.
BUT!
ALAS!
IT HAPPENED!!
And the sun came out in Vienna!!
I would like to thank everyone who's supported me even through my weirdness - and rest assured, I am back with a colossal bang. Suddenly, all seems possible, and ideas are starting to come back - for fun!! There are a hundred thing I want to try out, and it all starts here.
Let's light that fuse.

Hey all...
Well, here's the thing... I....erm... think I may have written all the songs which will be on album 3.....
I am so ridiculously excited, and bewildered, because up to 2 weeks ago, I had no idea what it would be, and felt about a year away from finishing...
And now, the status is, that I've finished the album up to the point where it is the same quality as Pyramides. But that doesn't mean I'm finished. Because this time I'm gonna really really concentrate on making it the most amazing album ever. So that means, lots of re-records, lots of patience, and lots of swirly-ness.
So.
If anyone needs me, I'll be making the most amazing album ever made.
k thanks toph!
