Current mood: accomplished
Whew, I finally made it. After 15 tedious years I am about to cross the finish line in a big way. Please help me celebrate this accomplishment at the UCD Thesis Exhibition Artist Reception, tomorrow night, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Emmanuel Gallery located on the Auraria Campus (map link: http://www.emmanuelgallery.org/jpegs/CampusMaplg.jpg)
Following my thesis defense on Friday - there will be a totally awesome pizza party at my crib, yo! So come on down and cheggity-check it.
I know this is short notice, but I've been furiously attempting to complete this bad boy. It is an interactive text messaging projection system, so bring your cell phones!

My senior thesis is due this December and all summer I have been hesitant to really jump in and work on it, even though most of my preliminary research has been completed. Just wasn't feelin it. Now I have a defense for my spidy-sense - because there was a better idea lodged behind a few shit ideas. Finally! Now I can work like every other artist - last minute. Haha!

I just spent most of the morning at the Adobe AIR Summer Tour; Adobe's Dog and Pony for their once-named Apollo development app. Aside from being a sausage party - it was mostly populated by Developers. I think the only designers I noticed were the crew that I rolled in with.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the application - as much as I was a year ago when Flex was barely showing it's muscles, and I bet this kinda format is awesome in San Fran, or Chicago - but Denverites are so un-hip; I'm surprised that their pants stay up.
Kudos go out to the presenters and to whom ever designed the experience, I'm sorry my socially-awkward brethren are such dip-shits.

IX taught me a great concept in UI design called the Hermeneutic Circle. "It refers to the idea that one's understanding of the interface as a whole is established by reference to the individual parts; and one's understanding of each individual part by reference to the whole. Neither the whole interface nor any individual part can be understood without reference to one another, and hence, it is a circle."
Natch.

Besides, you won't be able to "subscribe" through Myspace's servers, and the point was that we would retain all functionality but make it pretty, boss.
