I posted the tour dates for Clean. Out. Of. Sight. right over there on the front door. There'll be more as there is more.
I also want people to know about Weirdstock. This is a big deal. It's the biggest show the WFR has ever put on. Bands from all over America will be making a pilgrimage to Cambridge so we can all be weird together. This matters. Tell your Mom. Tell your dad's burnout friends. There's going to be one hundred bands performing over three days. I don't even know what music is. Finally, there is the work.

I wanted to spread the information in here that I'm going to be going on tour again this fall with Greg Sun! We're going to be traveling across america in his nissan centra, performing at poetry venues, music halls and living rooms
"Clean Out Of Sight" will be the name of it. I wanted it to have a name. Lenora Borealis is going to make a poster. My plan is to leave something in the earth. I think Greg wants me to learn how to use a loom.
Here's some dates that I've booked all-ready.
August 26th - Cantab Lounge Boston September 7th - Louder Arts NYC September 8th - Writing Wrongs Columbus OH September 13th - the Green Mill (!) Chicago IL September 15th - Chicago Young Authors September 30th - Seattle Slam WA October 5th - Vancouver Slam BC October 14th - the Starry Plough Berkley CA
there's alot of spaces and places to fill in. My hope is that the whole thing will be longer by the end of it. I'm excited to spend alot of time with Greg. I am looking forward to the movement. I am looking forward to the map.

I know this isn't a Very Popular attitude, but I like the winter. It's been so cold in Boston that the inside of my body has re-imagined what cold is. Now, when its thirty, it seems warm.
The Whitehaus has been keeping warm with music-power, and there has been a lot of it. There have been at least twelve shows a week in the last three months. All the kids. All of the hours, All of the sounds. And All of This has been leading up to my favorite show of the year: Blastfest!
This year's Blastfest promises to be even bigger than last years. We have twenty one confirmed acts. Including, but not limited to:
the Needy Visions Manners Gracious Calamity Debbie and the Bullets Peace, Loving Baixa Gregory J. Moon Many Mansions the Great Valley April Ranger the Woodrow Wilsons Shira Erlichman the Points North Anna Fox Toothwinner Avi Jacob Lindsey Clark Morgan Shaker Casey Rocheteau
all alot more. There is also going to be alot of informational material at the event. Its March 13th at the Central Square YMCA Theatre in Cambridge.
Also! I've been doing some writing and recording and begun a new project with my friend Manners: I Will Banish Luck. Hopefully it'll be finished by Blastfest, and for my tour this summer.

Mostly by Train, which is really exciting. Maybe I'll get a bunch of train poems out of this
So, its between November 11th & December 3rd:
I'll be in
Chicago Lincoln Omaha Denver Glendale & Flagstaff
If you live in those towns, and want to come out to the shows, it'd been Keen As Heck
If you live in those towns, and want to hang out with me between the shows, I have some downtime and would like to learn as much as I can about everything.
Writing these things used to freak me out until I started reading Beau Sia's bulletins, and then internet-writing began to make sense. Wow, that guy is so cool.

Its Labor Day, August 32nd 2008. Tomorrow September begins. The past two (2) days have been Moving Day in the city of Boston, that means Back to School. The swing-set landed on the moon.
The Summer of More, the Summer of No Shoes & the Summer of Watermelon Chew have certainly occurred. I couldn't be more pleased with the Mausers and the Whitehaus Family Record. And our new neighbors City Weed & Hi-Fi are pretty keen.
I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who took part the Charles River Trout Company Treasure Hunt. Atomfoam & Becky Schibel took home the trophy. Longshots Team Kellzo made a good show. Vegas odds were on Simon Moped and Tom Tom Mid-nite, who came in 2nd.
On a side note, have you heard Casey Rocheteau's new LP? It's really good.
Speaking of things that are really good: Canada.
Also,
Francis will be home in eleven months, I still have copies of my book to sell, and don't miss the Halloween Hootenanny.

Alot is happening, I think, with the WFR. The little 2nd floor is getting bigger. And all the Yes Wave gang has been playing alot of shows. I’ve done a few too. We’re going to do more & more, or that’s the idea. Heavy slams season this time of year too. Learning to plan.

Sometimes in large town there will be a strip mall or a few stores by the highway or the hospital or the light-bulb factory thats completely removed of the commercial center of town. And there will be something cozy about this, unspoiled and non-threatening, as opposed to the half-barren parking lots and the beige unspeaking walls of the mall and movie theatre wasteland. I feel that feeling from Portland, a place that seems to me that knows how to disappear and re-appear. I haven't seen much, but I think its nice, I like this street just over from Anis' house, Hawthorne Boulevard, which says its been around since 1888. I wonder if these are the same buildings that were first placed here then. I wonder if the windows of Portland have been watching its people in one unbroken line, as opposed to Boston, Chicago and Seattle, with their fires, their filled-in swamps, and building another city on top of the old.
