Xile... each day for the past 30 or so, I think I've clicked play on Sudden Death/No Tomorrow at least 3-4 each. I love the vibe my friend. Plus, I aprreciate your willingness to address head on something terribly personal in your life.
May this song be a reminder to all to make their moments make a difference because today is all we got. Spread the love people...this world needs it. Xile, proud to know you.
Thanks too for your support and willingness to perform at the Rock Rwanda show as well as place this cut on the disc.
Peace! Gunnar

A Refreshing Heartbeat of an Artist
Reviewer: stevekajunk
In a genre plagued with unoriginal ideas, recycled beats, greed, and self-absorbed Emcee's Xile is a breath of fresh air. From the opening jam "All Gave Sum - Sum Gave All," the tight hooky "Core," to a biting commentary on family values in "American Family," Xile returns to the mic holding true to his ideals: 1) Answer to a higher power and a higher standard and 2) Create music that is befitting to such a high standard. Bringing a true marriage of original programming and loops, and live band tracks, Xile proves he is truly an artist. No samples, no one else's ideas, not even copying himself, track for track brings a new view and sound that this reviewer finds personally refreshing. Everyone knows being an independent artist is hard, very little support and an even smaller bank roll leads many independents down a path of cutting corners and throwing things together under the umbrella of "not having the resources." It is apparent in every track of this album that this is not Xile's opinion, and it pays off for him. As for those who would criticize Xile's unyielding stance, in a world where people are unwilling to stand for anything, I can appreciate a man who stands for something. Whether you agree with him or not, music crafted out of passion will always be greater at its heart than music made for money. I for one am tired of hearing cash registers underneath rap tracks, for once I feel like the bass line is truly the heartbeat of this artist. I definitely recommend this disc. Buy it!

Sometimes when it's an artist's mission to deliver a message through music, the quality can take a backseat, but make no mistake about it, on Xile's sophomore album, he represents his beliefs as well as hip-hop to the fullest. As the intro puts it, Xile is "At war with the world, and everything it represents. It's not a physical war, but a spiritual battle..." The content of the following 13 tracks is deep and personal, while the lyrical flow and hardcore beats have the potential to reach mass appeal. Xile portrays himself as a soldier for the Lord -- "it takes a true soldier to stand and rep for Jesus," -- and he is frontlining a war that claims countless souls on a daily basis in this "anti-God world that says conform." Satan is the terrorist in this ongoing battle; and Xile shares his own personal trials and tribs dealing with the many different forms evil can take. The militaristic-based metaphors run deep in his mantra, and Xile's words are his arsenal. While his passion and faith pour into every line and every rhyme, you never feel like you are being preached to. Instead Xile presents a fresh, new sound without succumbing to hip-hop's common pitfalls. And if you are so inclined, you might just be moved spiritually.

Prime example of quality hip hop!Reviewer: illustrate
I loved this project. I've been a hip hop fan since I could walk. Exile brings heat on this one. Great production and serious rhyme skills. He brings a clear message of salvation in Christ without forcing it on you. If you didn't get this project... you need to.

Great CD from the first to the last track, it's a complete CD. X has managed to grab artists from other genres and performers that use different styles and blend it all together with his own mix of self-conscious hip hop This CD is one step above commercial hip-hop because instead of telling you about how tight he is… he shows you how tight he is with tracks like Core, Identity Revealed, and Mine Fields. Great CD, must have.

What it's all about!!Reviewer: RyLyThis, my friends, is what it's all about! Stepping out in faith and ministering ANY and EVERY way God has called you! This CD - front to back - brings a clear message of priorities, values, and most importantly grace.. "At War with the World" speaks loudly that your value is more than the clothes you wear, car your drive, and friends you keep. God is looking at your CORE, and this CD gives the listener the power, and confidence to step out in faith, encouraging you to make the ONE decision that is ETERNAL!!! Never know what day will be your last!!! -peace brother--keep doin what you do!
This CD is just amazing. Amazing lyrics, amazing messages, amazing love.Reviewer: Lindsay J.Okay so i really dont like rap or hip hop but this artist came to my church youth group and he sang pretty much all of the songs on this CD and they were absolutely incredible. The words make a lot of sense to me and made sense to everyone else as well. People were there that didnt even know the Lord and it was awesome to see everyone enjoying it. Listen to the songs even if you dont think you will like it. If you dont like this kind of music then there is probably some song on there that you can relate to. Xile's music will bring more and more of youth/ high schoolers / or ANYBODY to Jesus.
