Press Release: Sik World Presents the Holiday Hate Tour

(PR) Sik World Clothing is proud to present the 2007 Holiday Hate Tour featuring Psychostick, Indorphine and Screaming Mechanical Brain. The out kicks off next week in Tempe, AZ and will roll across the US spreading the Sik World brand of holiday cheer up until 3 days before Christmas. The tour will feature tons of giveaways from Sik World Clothing and Jagermeister at each stop on the tour.

"Every so often, we over at Psychostick like to wear clothes. On tour, we always have to wear clothes, even if we don't have any clean shirts. So luckily, clothing brand Sik World is on our side for the upcoming Holiday Hate Tour 2007," says Psychostick's drummer Alex Preiss. "Not just that, but they already support some of my favorite bands like Every Time I Die, Chimaira, God Forbid, The Offspring, and Zebrahead. I'm not exaggerating when I say Sik World is the best thing since sliced Sara Lee bread!"

Psychostick is humor-core. A firm education of metal and salacious hooks, topped with lyrical content about busted cars ("Two-Ton Paperweight"), sex ("Orgasm = Love") and the real reason why musicians get together ("In a Band to Get Chicks"), the band has built a loyal fan base around the country. As a result, the group's Rock Ridge Music debut, "We Couldn't Think of a Title", has sold over 30,000 copies and the band has racked up 2.8 million plays on MySpace. Psychostick's new anti-holiday themed album, "The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride" was just released and debuted at 18 on the Billboard Top Holiday Albums.

Mocking every visual, musical and conceptual stereotype of pop culture's acceptable versions of hard rock, Orlando FL's Indorphine is currently touring in support of their debut album, "Glowsticks for Clubbing Baby Seals". Indorphine have become relentless road dogs since the album's release completing tours with Stone Sour, Shadows Fall, Shinedown, Invitro, Bobaflex, Dog Fashion Disco, Psychostick and Tubring.

Sick of seeing fake Christmas trees being sold in September? Tired of hearing Christmas music in November? Do you dread the hunt to find meaningless material gifts for others out of guilt and obligation? The Holiday Hate Tour is your escape from the lunacy of an overcommercialized holiday.

The day after Thanksgiving, Psychostick will be hitting the road with Screaming Mechanical Brain and Indorphine. To properly introduce Psychostick's new cynical Christmas cd to the world, it is only fitting that they do so in a tour with bands they love, dedicated to making fun of the ridiculousness of the holiday season.

What crazy anti-holiday antics will transpire at this bah-humbug-fest other than songs off of Psychostick's new cd? Well, you'll just have to go and find out!

Current mood:  excited
HUGE tour announcement! A bunch of maniacs are going on tour together!

I'm from the band Psychostick, and we have toured with the bands Indorphine and Screaming Mechanical Brain before, but never both of them together! We first met the Indorphine boys on July 13, 2006, on the very first real tour date of our careers. We were on the road with them for about a month and became friends with them very quickly. So, we set up a follow up tour with them the following winter, and again, it was a blast.

On September 18, 2006, we finally met the Screaming Mechanical Brain guys and played with them for the first time. We kept in touch and toured together the following spring. It was so amazing we weren't sure how to top it.

Then someone had the idea of setting up a tour with all three bands! Psychostick, Screaming Mechanical Brain, and Indorphine. It will be legendary...
