Hi girls and boys. Even though INTOLERANT took a bit of a well-deserved (at least, we think it was…) vacation during the most part of March 09, we are fucking stoked to announce that April and May 2009 is going to be busy as fuck… we are going to be playing all over the place, and we mean ALL OVER! First off though, we’re really happy with the turnout of Intolerant’s MYX North America interview, which debuted on the net and is probably showing on foreign television as we speak. The interview was fun, and we’re really pleased with the editing and how Myx presented the band- straight up and no bullshit, just the way we like it. Click on the following link to check it out: http://www.myxpi.com/pnoise-intolerant/ Next up, we’re very grateful to Rolando Gonzaga and the rest of the Splintr.com team for making Intolerant the artist of the month on their website. Great sound, great video footage of the band playing most of the songs off our debut album Reasons For Unrest. Be sure to check out their website, as it not only features us, but a host of really great local bands we really like. As most of you probably know, this is the only site where you can view the performances as they were exclusively recorded for Splintr.com. So take a break from surfing for porn or from whatever else shit and check out splintr.com. For radio fans, we’d like to once again ask for your support to keep our current single “Blunt Force Trauma” on air. You can help vote for the single by keying in NUVOTE BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA and sending to 29107. Or if you want to request the song, key in REQUESTNU BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA and also send to 29107. Or if you want to message The Home of Nu Rock on how great we (or, er, how much we suck…), key in MSGNU .. and- you guessed it – send to 29107. Stop wasting your credit/load on bullshit and waste it on us. Please? As a reminder, our debut disc Reasons For Unrest is still available online for our brothers and sisters who are shores away. You can grab a copy of our album on itunes.com and on cdbaby.com. DISTANCE IS NO LONGER AN ISSUE! Also, there are still available Intolerant shirts online (courtesy of our good friend Denise…), so don’t hesitate to log on to her website at gotdahlin.multiply.com, and feel free to place your orders there. Currently, we’re hitting the studios again when we can and we are almost done with songs post-Reasons For Unrest. We’re really digging it as it promises to be way angrier and sped-up than anything we’ve done on the debut. We’ll soon be testing ‘em out at the gigs, so we hope all of you can come and tell us what you think. Meanwhile, here’s the gig schedule for the months of April and May 2009. Though 95% of these dates are confirmed, remember to check out our myspace.com/intolerantmetal site for additional dates as we are sure more will be added. Not bad eh? We do hope a lot of you friends can join us at the gigs and won’t get tired of supporting us, because we really need it. Talks are going on about our first-ever music video, and all the members of Intolerant have been active in uploading photos, videos and other cool shit on various sites online, including youtube.com, friendster.com, facebook.com and wherever the fuck else. Please keep your eyes peeled and ears open for a bunch of extra shit we can come up with. As a bonus, SKYCHURCH is doing a couple of shows with Intolerant, and we’re all very happy to see them play on occasion, so fans of the band might want to check out their gigs as well, as they only play on occasion and usually don’t really promote their shows as intensely as INTOLERANT does. Anyway, you can catch SKYCHURCH on March 31, 2009 at the DREDDBANGER’S BALL in Club Dredd Eastwood, Libis Quezon City, and again on April 2 (alongside INTOLERANT) at the Francis Magalona tribute night. Be prepared as they’re expected to jam with not one- but two- guests/friends on that night for a blustering Francs M cover. Bring your cameras and recorders! We’re happy that we’re busy and would like to thank everyone who has supported us and messaged, texted, congratulated and showed us kindness these past few months. We really appreciate it, and are looking forward to a great year. There’s so much in the works, like gigs outside the country, other media appearances and gimmicks, but we hope all of you can sink your teeth in these for the meantime. Metal up your you-know-what! Sincerely, Joey, Mic, Russ and Pepo INTOLERANT

Hello Everyone, We've got some great stuff to show you. First off it's the 2nd issue of Sonic Press and we're on the cover. It contains a short article and a few Sonic Boom stuff so it's definitely worth checking out. Grab a copy from us or any Sonic Boom gig and it's totally free. They revamped their multiply page and posted our faces on it (haha!). Here's a short excerpt from our interview How did you guys come to meet and form? RUSSELL: Me and Joey were already band mates in Skychurch. We met Pepo and Mic when they still had their own band (Loss of Control) back in 1997. JOEY: I guess it all started when Russell and I (who around a little more than two years ago, were still involved with the Skychurch thing…) had a bunch of songs that didn’t exactly fall in the same vein of the music we were playing at the time. We had all these ideas and riffs that sort of experimented with other sub-genres of rock, and we were huge fans of bands like Tool and were sort of reminiscing on stuff we listened to in the past, like grunge and alternative and whatever. So we decided that instead of trying to reinvent what Skychurch had already established, we’d form another band and try to play with other musicians we’ve always wanted to work with. So we gave Pepo a call, who we’ve known since his Loss of Control days, and luckily, even though he was busy being a DJ and still had a year or two left with his studies, that he thought it was a cool idea. So we did the studio thing and tried to figure out where to take the music, then Mic came on board, and well, I guess our past musical sensibilities in metal sort of naturally kicked in and then we found ourselves taking the metal route again. Though technically, the sound and approach was different, it was still within everybody’s tastes and respective comfort zones. We decided it’d also be a bad thing to sort of force the issue with the whole “modern rock” concept we originally had, so we basically just went with our collective gut and created this trippy kind of metal sound we have right now. MIC: We've known each other for a long time because our former bands used to play together. Russell had this idea of forming a new band and recruited Joey and Pepo. After trying out a couple of bassists they finally ended up with me and that's basically how Intolerant was formed. How much influence do your former bands have on your current sound?RUSSELL: A lot...from the song writing to the performance ethics and attitude. JOEY: Huge influence, if you were to ask me personally. Skychurch really got my shit together and honed the little chops I had, so it’s that same standard that guides me in Intolerant. Playing with Skychurch really taught me how to NOT fuck-up and really deliver the goods once it’s asked for… both by the band and whoever. MIC: Some people claim that Intolerant sounds a little bit like Skychurch. I beg to differ. Skychurch is a totally different monster than Intolerant. Skychurch was all about speed and lends itself more to Death Metal and Hardcore. Intolerant is more groove oriented and thrashy with a bit of Hardcore as well. The only thing that sounds Skychurch in Intolerant is Russell's voice and Joey's precision guitar work. As for Loss of Control, they sound much different now than during the time that Pepo and I were in the band. Right now they've got this Brutal Death Grind thing going so there is no real comparison. Intolerant and Loss of Control's sound are miles away. Do you feel your name lends to your sound? How about your personalities? RUSSELL: I really have no idea; we just play and write songs that come naturally to us. JOEY: I guess it would be fair to say yes… Pertaining to the sound, Intolerant is definitely a metal band that doesn’t confine itself to whatever stereotype/s or expectations listeners or people may have. Yeah, we’re staying true to what we do best, but there’s no rules like “we can’t do this and that” to the music or the songs or bullshit like that. As musicians, we want to grow, and hopefully, it’ll get listeners to grow as well. So yeah… fuck musical trends. As far as our personalities are concerned, yeah- I guess we are a varied lot. And we can be testy at times, we can be a little outspoken about crap we feel we have to address, but most of the time, it’s all in the name of fun. A little good-natured intolerance for whatever is never a bad thing… just don’t fuck with us, I guess. MIC: In my opinion the name does lend to the sound that's why we all agreed with the name Intolerant. It represents the whole feel and sound of the band, which is in your face metal. Personality wise, we can be intolerant at times but overall we're a bunch of nice guys. Alex (“Phat Boy” Lim) can attest to that. Ha ha! PEPO: The name Intolerant fits the sound very much. In terms of personalities, we're actually very normal people who live normal lives and think normal. If you wanna read the whole interview just go to http://sonicboomphilippines.multiply.com/Next is we're this month's featured artist for Splintr.com. The vid looks great and they posted God of War on the front page. To check the whole session (I think we did 7 or 8 songs) sign up with Splintr.com and get access to all the vids and interviews (including past featured artists like Urbandub, Fastpitch, and a whole lot more....). Here's the link http://www.splintr.com/If you've noticed, our March sked is pretty bare. The reason is we're gearing up for a provincial tour this April and May. In April we'll be touring with our buddies from Hong Kong King Ly Chee and Shepherds the weak. The tour is called THIS IS WHAT WE CALL UNITY tour. We'll be taking them to Cavite and Olongapo along with our coherts Badburn, Sin, Typecast, and Piledriver. For May we'll be touring Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Tagbilaran City, Cebu, and Baguio. That tour is called SONIC ATTACK. This time around we'll be going around with our a couple of our Sonic Boom brothers and sisters The Ambassadors and Nyctinasty. Just check our pages and calendars for updates. It's gonna be one hell of a ride. You'll be hearing from us again soon. Stay sick and keep those horns up!!! ..m/ -Intolerant-

Hello Everyone, Finally, our cdbaby, com page is up. To those who are interested in purchasing our album (especially the people who live outside of the Philippines) you can go to: http://cdbaby.com/cd/intolerantIt's priced at $8.99 and you can get a 10% discount if you order more than one cd. That's right, a 10% discount if you order more than one cd! Wow! What a steal!!! (sorry i watch too many home tv shopping infomercials). So how's the NU107 voting going? Well, we're still not in the countdown but we hung out with Dylan recently and apparently a lot of people have been requesting Blunt Force Trauma especially on Remote Control Weekends. Entering the countdown would be cool but getting constant requests for our song to be played is much better. So once again, thank you to the people who have been requesting our song (you know who you are). Keep those calls and texts coming. It would still be cool to get in the countdown. Have you watched our MYX Bandarito performance this past Saturday? Hats off to the engineer who tweaked our sound for the episode. They were able to catch the live feel of our sound. To those who missed it, the replay is this Thursday, Feb 26 8pm. Those are the updates for now. You'll be hearing from us again soon. -Mic-

Kamusta? First off, to those who voted for us sa NU107, we want to thank you for the support. Please keep those texts and calls coming. We really appreciate the help. If you check out our profile pic, you'll see that we're on the cover of the new Sonic Press. You can grab a copy at any Sonic Boom gigs and it's FREE. Kaya kuha lang kayo ng kuha and pamigay nyo sa lahat ng mga kakilala nyo. I think we have naked pictures in there so it's a must see. Haha! Speaking of magazines, Intolerant is also featured in the latest issue of Fudge Magazine (with Bamboo on the cover) and the latest PULP Magazine (with Basti Artadi on the cover). It's full of great interviews and useless trivia about us so grab a copy of those mags as well. Next, our MYX Bandarito performance will be aired this Saturday Feb 21, 2009 @ 3pm. So make sure to tune in to MYX this Saturday. We don't know what the replay schedules are but we'll definitely post them as soon as we find out. Finally, to those who were expecting us to play this Saturday in Bloogum Bar Marikina, we won't be pushing through with the gig because we had some issues with the organizers. To be specific, they never contacted us again. We tried to contact them numerous times but they never answered back. So we'd like to apologize to those people who were expecting us. Bawi kami sa sunod na gig. That's all for now. Keep those horns up! -Mic-

ok so here goes. i'm sure everybody who cares enough to wonder about how and why we weren't able to make it to the sonic boom/sinulog festivities has been waiting for this info, or some sort of explanation. it's because Cebu Pacific hires morons... and most people working in their company are idiots who have no capacity to take care of paying clients nor make decisions to keep the company reputation clean. this is how it went down: our flight was scheduled for 6pm. we arrived a little before 5pm. mindful of the standard one-hour-before-flight-check-in, we rushed to the check-in counter and presented our group ticket. the dumb bitch behind the counter barely even looked at us and simply said "you can no longer check-in sir. your seats have been given to someone else because you're late. it's first come, first-served." funny thing is, an announcement was made that our flight for 6pm was delayed. the fucking plane wasn't even there. so point number one: why is it when paying fliers/clients are late, we get penalized? but if the flights are late, didn't we deserve an extension on our grace period before they decided to give our seats away? then this moron in a brown barong takes our ticket and scribbles something on the top. "5:25," which we later find out means we checked-in at 5:25pm. So these idiots give our seats away (which were reserved last November 2008 pa), then make us liars. jesus. so instead of fighting and bickering with the people behind the counter, we decide to get our tickets re-booked. RE-BOOKED because, again, we HAD tickets that were paid for months ago. we shoot for the last flight of the evening, arriving at 7:20pm. we line up a few minutes before 6pm. PLENTY OF TIME. we are informed that there are still free seats. and we are informed the charges are PHP1500 per head. so we're thinking "fuck it. let's just pay for whatever so we can keep our word and perform at Sinulog." so just as we're about to pay PHP6,000 for the re-book, again, we are approached by these dumbasses who inform us that we will be charged for regular priced (peak-season) one-way tickets, which were amounting to PHP 26,000+. TWENTY SIX FUCKING GRAND. i mean, it was bad enough that it wasn't our fault we had to re-book our flight because they unfairly gave away our seats and that we had to pay a fine, but again, pay PHP26 grand for something that wasn't even our fault? what's funny was, WE ACTUALLY AGREED TO PAY TWENTY SIX FUCKING GRAND just so we could get to Cebu. honestly, we were hell-bent on making it to Sinulog. we weren't ready to give up, no matter how shitty a deal we were getting. now by this time, the dumb bitch who refused to check us in in the first place was nowhere to be found. we were asking everybody behind the counters who she was, so that we could file a complaint as well. the funny thing is, NOBODY KNEW WHO WAS ON DUTY. it was not more than an hour since we talked to her and she refused to check us in, but it seemed nobody knew who was at the counter. there wasn't even some kind of log or whatever. too bad we didn't get her name, but it's just plain stupid if you're a reputable airline and do not know who's working for you, am i right? so we asked who was in charge of the booking and the checking-in and all that bullshit. two ladies present themselves. we ask them if shit like this happens. all they say is "sirs, we are sorry, but you are the least-priority passengers right now." fucking bitch. Pepo (our drummer) fires up. i lose it. but we calmly explain that what she said was just fucking insulting. we keep our cool, knowing that we've been given a shot to hitch a ride on the next flight. well, we get a PHP26,000 shot, that is. then something totally fucked-up happens. just as we're about to hand em our credit card to pay for the PHP26,000 seats, the dumb bitches inform us that there are only three seats left. they sold the other available seats to people who weren't there as early as we were, during the time we were still negotiating for seats we really felt we deserved. it was simple. those people owed us seats because they gave away ours way before it was the right time to do so. but then, they just wanted to make money and sold em to other dudes who probably just got to the airport that moment. so by then, our jaws dropped. we asked them: "so are you saying that we can't go to cebu, because you gave away our tickets, and that we should just go home with nothing? nagbayad kami for tickets pero pinamigay niyo so uwi na lang kami ng lugi?" the answer: "kayo sir..." fucking priceless. that was the dumbest answer ever. it was actually hilarious at this point. so we accepted that we were no longer going to cebu. the lady who introduced herself as an authority and who had the power to make decisions that would help us gave us two pieces of paper. they were complaint forms. and she advised us to "call customer care." "we are not going to talk to some call center agent who obviously isn't directly part of this company," we said. we wanted to solve our problem. and we wanted some sort of compensation. we felt we were entitled to it. we told her we were willing to go to the office and talk to whoever just to sort out what the fuck went wrong. then she says: "well we can't help you now because it's a weekend. there's no work on weekends." so i say: "oh there's no work on weekends because fucked-up shit like this DOESN'T HAPPEN on weekends?" it sounded to me that they they didn't really have any plans of helping us. blank stares. the dumb-asses bow their heads and whisper shit to each other. it's clear they no longer want to help or talk to us. which made sense because by that time, the 7:20 plane was ready to take off. we couldn't help asking though: why didn't you reserve the tickets we were paying for? wasn't it the right thing to do to reserve seats for passengers who lost theirs because of the company's fuck-up? wasn't it risky to have even just one, displeased customer? they tell us: "sir, to buy NEW TICKETS, you have to get a number, then fall -in line over there and blah-fucking-blah and whatever." there was no "over there." there were no other lines, there was nobody giving away "numbers," not even a machine or some sort of counter in sight. we were there at 5pm, fighting our way to get what was justly ours, they knew we had a problem which technically wasn't our fault, but not one of them (even the morons behind the other counters who didn't want to mind their own business and simply watched us miss TWO flights in one day...) bothered to help us out, or show us a little courtesy. we were tired of arguing that we weren't actually BUYING NEW TICKETS and that they gave away our seats and whatever-the-fuck-bullshit. we were fed up. we wanted to break shit... faces and heads included. we couldn't help adding: "so why did you waste our time and effort if you weren't going to give us seats anyway? did you really not give a fuck that we, your clients (and frequent flyers who have friends who liked to travel as well...) were having trouble because of YOUR screw-up? did you really think that we were that un-important? WHY DID YOU HAVE TO WASTE OUR TIME? WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID?" these were questions that were flashing through our heads the entire night. again, they bowed their heads, pretending to work and scribble senseless notes on scratch paper. i gather that this was sort of their version of the typical idiot jeepney driver who breaks the road law/s and crashes his jeep into another man's car and scratches his head when it's time to pay up. so after three senseless hours at the airport, we finally did the most logical thing of the evening. we smoked, and accepted the fact that incompetence takes no holidays. we accepted the fact that advanced booking and reservations really don't mean shit if for some reason, the airline screws up. we accepted the fact that if these people don't want you on their fucking plane, then it gives them the right to not help you out, even though you paid for it. we accepted the fact that some people are just stupid. now i know this will probably mean jack-shit to most of you, and that there's really nothing we can do about it. and we actually don't want to cry over spilt-milk (or, again...all together now... TWENTY SIX FUCKING THOUSAND PESO FLIGHT TICKETS WE WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE...), but i guess we just want to share what happened to us. we are all laughing about it now even though it sucks- because we simply choose to accept how fucked-up shit can get. we're not expecting anything to happen and sadly, we aren't expecting to be compensated for the shit we went through, but we want to say this: think twice when you're traveling. when you feel like going on a vacation or visiting friends in the provinces, THINK TWICE which airline you want to fly with. it's not always a privilege to choose, we know, but if you want to avoid shit like what happened to us, maybe another airline would be a better choice. just maybe. think twice. we were SO looking forward to the hundred peso softdrinks and stale biscuits and overly priced mineral water pa naman. but that's life. sometimes you catch a flight. but sometimes, you miss it, because of dumb pieces of shit who don't know what the fuck they're doing.
