teamAWESOME! Bedroom Dance Party Tour!

We are playing a tiny handful of shows on the west coast in October.

Lots of electronics, lots of dancing. Very silly. Very simple.

We will play songs in your bedroom. Call me to invite us over 720-480-7104! Leave a message. If I don't answer it means I am in Santiago. Relax. I'll get back to you eventually.

It's OK if your only 14 as long as you get all your friends to come. We will be nice to your mom. We don't have to be super loud if you have volume restrictions. Fun comes at all volume levels.

Living rooms, basements, kitchens, backyard trampolines, and super-friendly DIY venues will also be considered.

Since its inception, teamAWESOME! has written and performed energetically playful twee dance pop music. Their repertoire of songs include as subjects childlike takes on things like cars, pirates, rocketships, forts, the sun, space travel, robots and games of hide 'n' seek. The act's music, in fact, comes off like a really cool kid's show made for adult teenagers that haven't entirely lost their sense of fun and who have managed to retain some of their innocence. A teamAWESOME! show is not unlike being on that imaginary program with people on stage playing with an infectiously furious energy and engaging the audience in participating in the music through direct solicitation in singing along or cue cards with drawings indicating the words you're to join the band in shouting out loud. They're not a band for people that take themselves too seriously or anyone who has killed the child inside them, but for those of us who are still able experience the joy of youthful exuberance, teamAWSOME! has a lot to offer.

The band's expansive roster has shifted over the years with a live membership in excess of seven members at one time—basically whomever felt like it might be a fun thing to do. Chuck Potashner and Kara Jorge started the band in Boulder in 2005 and won a CU Battle of the Bands contest to win a mastering of their debut album, Greatest Hits Vol. 1. Subsequently, Jorge left the band and it went on to tour the western US regularly. The current line-up consisting of Chuck Potashner, Anthea Osguthorpe and Logan Corcoran is the leanest, tightest and most musically consistent incarnation of the band to date, most recently releasing the accomplished full-length, The Burnt Siena Album.

Thank you to everyone who has been buying The Burnt Sienna Album on iTunes and Amazon. I want to let you know that a lot of that money does go directly to us and will be saved until we need it to record our new project. ....yes there is a new project featuring multiple members of teamAWESOME! -more details on that soon.

Other news: Logan (our drummer) is going to be drumming for one of my favorite bands, Bad Weather California. They are playing in SLC at Kilby on Septemer 27th.

Also, I am recording a Solo 7" / iTunes Single and booking a tour this winter. I'll be playing all new stuff but you can probably persuade me to play a few teamAWESOME! songs if you have strong powers of persuasion.

We are going to be taking a break from teamAWESOME!. More info on that soon.

We have two final all ages shows.

To promote these shows we are giving away free tshirts to everyone who puts one of our songs on their MySpace profile. The last day to start this is August 9th.


Details:

1. Add any of our songs to your MySpace profile

2. Send us a MySpace message to let us know you are participating

3. Keep our music on your page continuously for at least 10 days. You can switch between any of our songs if you would like.

4. After 10 days send us an email with your address and what size shirt you would like. We have men's and women's small, medium, & large. You can also request a CD instead.
