So, the album arrived back form Carl at RRS, all mastered and sequenced and ready to go. We've put a couple of songs from it up here right away so you can hear them, and a picture I found at Deptford market a few weeks ago which may or may not end up as the sleeve art.

We're all super-excited, commandeering sound systems and hugging each other

The album will be released on Trash Aesthetics in the first couple of weeks of October (depending on how quickly James and I can finish off the artwork). If you'd like to review the album for your blog, fanzine or school newspaper, drop me a line at adam@trashaesthetics.com and i'll send you a copy.

really sorry, somebody wrote to get the lyrics to "Found" for a review - but I lost who it was... anyway, here they are:-

we look to the light
that promises to remember
lupine lovers
howling at a man-made moon
that devil box in the corner
makes me wonder
where will i leave my mark
scrambling in the dark
till death's ivory digits drag you under

and car crash entertainment
makes me drowsy
all the lovers changed lanes
so they wouldn't be left behind
wake me up when the waiting's over
cos there's nothing going on right now
and it's hard to picture how
these things could eve change
enough to matter

WADE IN THE GREEN WATER
POCKETS FULL OF JADE
MAY BRING YOU DOWN
DISEMBOWELED BY CROCODILES
WHO WOULD SOONER SEE YOU DROWN
THAN TO FIND YOU STILL AROUND
A HUNDRED HEAVY HEARTS STILL POUND

break my spirit slowly
and so sweetly
I never counted on you payments anyway
And hold on to the one thing you needed
as its trickling through your hand
you might briefly understand
these things will never change
enough to matter

WADE IN THE GREEN WATER
POCKETS FULL OF JADE
MAY BRING YOU DOWN
DISEMBOWELED BY CROCODILES
WHO WOULD SOONER SEE YOU DROWN
THAN TO FIND YOU STILL AROUND
A HUNDRED HEAVY HEARTS STILL POUND

Our long time friends, Mi Mye are releasing a debut single - The Last - with Trash Aesthetics.

To celebrate, we'll be joining them for parties at the Hop in Wakefield on Saturday, The Brudenel in Leeds on Sunday, and the Social on Monday.

It will be the first opportunity to buy the record and a chance to hear them in all their glory. Jamie is the main man in the band and also produced all our recordings.

Also performing in leeds will be Eugene Mcguinness and It Hugs Back, while the london show is with Wildbirds & peacedrums

We just got a bunch of shirts printed - they look realy nice and you can buy them here etc...

When we were ordering, someone wise told us to get more S shirts and more girl's shirts and we said NO WAY all our fans are suitably redwood, bearded, male and barrel physique-d.

Anyway, we sold out of girls shirts within ten minutes of getting the order delivered, but have L and XL still. Also many men are S, which we hadn't counted on.

The Tailors are playing a show with a real luminary or that whole scene - we can't say who, in case the powers that be catch wind - it town for a one off uk secret show.

Anyway, you'll like it.

Hi

We've been shacked up in our version of the Big Pink, in a studio in Brockley with our new member Dara McCutcheon for the last month or so. He's the younger brother of the Jaime - the Tailors erstwhile drummer currently working as a neuroscientist in Chicago.

We'll be playing two London shows next month with Dara before heading up to Wakefield to finish off album two...
