This past Friday in Royston, Ga at the Royston Gym on Cherry Street, a new 1 contender was named for APW's richest prize, the Southern States Championship held by Shadow Jackson, after over 16 of the top contenders in APW battled it out in a Mega Rumble! Billy Buck drew 2 in the rumble and outlasted 16 other men to become 1 contender, last eliminating Dany Only, Brandon Parker and JT Talent!
Also, APWs North Georgia Champion, Seth Delay showed his true colors in the tag team main event. After coming to the rescue for Chris King last week, and volunteering to help him battle Superstar Aaron Lee and the Royston Brawler, Delay stabbed King in the back. Delay watched as King took a lengthy beating during the match, and when King finally dove to make the tag, Seth came in like a house of fire and nailed his own partner, Chris King??? After the bell, the beating continued until Shadow Jackson and 1 contender Billy Buck came from the back to help King. The damage had been done on King.
Also, Slim J defeated Dany Only, The Franchise defeated the Executioner and Brandon Parker w/ Kevin Duncan, and Southern states Champion Shadow Jackson defeated Anthony Henry.

APW Owner Jerico stone came out at the beginning of the show with 2 announcements:
1.Next week, APW will name a 1 Contender to the Southern States Championship held by "Unstoppable" Shadow Jackson in a Mega-Rumble!
2. Superstar Aaron Lee [was set to] face Chris King one on one as a result of Lee's continuous interference in recent months. (Lee has been out of action with an alleged "broken arm" but has been seen using the arm with no problem rather frequently in recent weeks)
Unfortunately, Aaron Lee had a Dr's note and had the 6'7" 300lbs. Royston Brawler take his place. The big man was too much for King after the patented "Landslide" . After the match Lee added insult to injury by slapping King and ordering the Brawler to "Landslide" King twice more before Seth Delay made the save weilding a steel chair.
APW Owner Jerico Stone made a match for next week pitting Kool Seth Delay & Chris King against The Royston Brawler & Aaron Lee. Also, if Aaron Lee does not compete he will be FIRED!
Mr. Kevin Duncan came up empty even after all his "Clients" had title shots on this week's show. Both Seth Delay and the Friday Night Franchise successfully defended both the North Georgia Championship and the APW Tag Team Championship respectfully. But the real story came after the tag title match when Chris Mayne and Brandon Parker jumped the Franchise from behind. Dustin Michaels soon followed and all 3 members of Kevin Duncan's crew continued the attack. Finally, Kareem Abdul Jamar hit the ring, basketball in hand, and cleaned house. Of course the damage had been done as the Tag Champs needed help to the back.
Wild Billy Buck defeated Darkness
Chris Damien and Bo Newsom defeated Strictnyn and Adam Mabry
Don Matthews defeated Danny Only
Kareem Abdul Jamar defeated Anthony Henry
To hear comments from Superstar Aaron Lee on Jerico Stone's orders and ultimatum, or To hear from the APW Tag Team Champions, the Friday Night Franchise with Kareem Abdul Jamar, or To hear "Merciless" Don Matthews give his thoughts on the 1 Contender's Mega Rumble this coming Friday September 5th click the link below for APW's First Edition of APW AFTERSHOCKS.

Last Friday night at the Royston Gym in Royston, Ga, APW continued laying the groundwork for this year's Freedom Fight scheduled for August 1st. It was a hot night of action and here is what you missed.
JT Talent invited his challenger for the main event at Freedom Fight, Shadow Jackson out for the Talent Show and ever-so-kindly offered "the people's champ" an oppurtunity to just walk away. Talent claimed that since APW Owner Jerico Stone made the match a title match, that he would have to bring his A-game, and didn't want to embarass the aging challenger at Freedom Fight, APW's biggest show of the year. Unfortunately for Talent, the people crapped on his offer and Shadow informed the champion that the main event will go on as scheduled.
Aaron Lee introduced the man he says will succeed in ridding APW of Chris King. Lee has made that his goal in the past month since "injuring" his arm. "Dustin Powers couldn't get the job done as many times as he tried and I've decided to replace him with the bigger, stronger, meaner, and even uglier Royston Brawler John Carnage". Carnage, Standing 6' 7", and over 300lbs is sure to cause problems for King in the coming weeks.
New North Georgia Champion Chris Mayne with Kevin Duncan defeated Chris Damien.
Billy Buck lost to Carnage by DQ after clocking him with the chair that Carnage intended for him.
Slim J and Bo Newsom fought the Friday Night Franchise to a no contest when tag champs Azrael and Darkness interfered. Owner Jerico Stone announced that at Freedom Fight, there will be a 3 way Tag Team Title Match with these 3 teams.
Don Matthews informed the fans that he has signed to face former partner Jeremy Vain at Freedom Fight but was soon interupted by Vain who said "I refuse to wrestle Don Matthews at Freedom Fight because at the biggest show of the year, I can't make any money wrestling a name like Don Matthews. I'm a little to high on the card to lower myself to your level and cost myself a big pay day" . Vain then proceeded to challenge Matthews for later in the night, and Matthews accepted much to the delight of the fans in attendance. During the match Vain clocked Matthews with a set of brass knucks for the win, but continued the attack after the bell. Vain then poured Clorox Bleach in the face of the fallen Matthews. Matthews was then rushed out of the building to a near by hospital for treatment. The word is there was severe damage to his eyes caused by the bleach.
Last but not least, Kareem Abdul Jamar debuted by defeating Brandon Parker. Strictnyn left the newcomer laying immediately after the match unbeknownst to anyone as to Why?
This Friday, same place, same time, I'm sure there will be an update on the condition of Don Matthews.
Southern States Champion, JT Talent and his 1 Contender Shadow Jackson will both be in action this week.
The Royston Brawler will also be in action as Aaron Lee has already guaranteed victory which is a bold statement being that an opponent has yet to be named for the big man.
Kareem Abdul Jamar will take on Strictnyn
And what will happen next in the APW tag title scene as the 3 top teams in the company battle for momentum heading in to Freedom Fight. Will they bring out the toys for this one???
Jeremy vain has asked for time "to address all the doubters that thought he couldn't beat that blind redneck" and reluctantly Jerico Stone has granted him that time. Why there has been no fines or suspension, i have no idea. Maybe Stone has his reasons. Maybe we'll find out Friday.
All this and much much more as the flight to Freedom Fight continues on. just 2 and half weeks away!!!! (August 1st)

The Talent Show opened the show, and Southern States Champion JT Talent called out Bo Newsom. He said "he wanted to put an end to Bo Newsome" and he wanted it tonight. Out comes Bo Newsom and just as things were about to get physical, APW owner Jerico Stone orders them to stop. He stated that "Bo Newsom and I did win the tag match last week so he’s got the shot!" "With the match having no time limit, we just don’t have time to do it tonight." He went on to make the match that will be "Main Eventing" APWs next big show Spring Break Bash, Friday April 18th. Bo Newsome vs. JT Talent- No Time Limit- for the Southern States Championship!
JT Talent made quick work of Wes Grissom. The champ was not too happy about the nights recent developments, and he took it out on Grissom.
BJ Hancock defeated Jamie Cruz
Yoshi Hiroshima & North Georgia Champion Aaron Lee defeated Drowning In Excellence or D.I.E.(Vince Chambers & Dustin Michaels)
The self proclaimed "King of the Cowboys" Chris Mayne (wearing Billy Buck’s hat) with his manager Kevin Duncan came to the ring and continued to hurl insults at Billy Buck who was not in Royston Friday due to the Flu. when he was done, he demande a replacement. He got Slim J! In the end, Mayne stole another one with help from Kevin Duncan.
Dustin Powers was defeated by Chris King. Powers snuck back into the ring after the match and nailed King with the cane he carries to ringside with him. As he went to do it a second time, Superstar Aaron Lee hit the ring and Powers didn’t care to stick around.
Azrael and Darkness w/ Lloth became the new APW Tag Team Champions when referee Dee Byers stopped the match due to the ammount of punishment Ryan Michaels of the Friday Night Franchise had endured. Unfortunately for the Franchise, the titles did change hands. Michaels may have suffered a serious injury from the looks of things. I’m sure we’ll know more this Friday.
1 contender Bo Newsom defeated Don Matthews in the main event with a corkscrew moonsault. Newsom was more impressive than ever scoring the biggest "official" win of his career over former APW Heavyweight Champion Don Matthews. Newsom signs the dotted line for the biggest match of his life next Friday, and the he looks to be ready!

As the show opened with APW Announcer Greg Hunter in the ring, Southern States Champion J. T. Talent with The Official Jacob Ashworth interrupted Hunter. Talent stated because no one has heard from APW Owner Jerico Stone since he and Ashworth attacked him last week, that there was no one to run the show this week. For that reason, Talent declared that the Talent Show would last all night, as he was running the show. The Southern States Champion then proceeded to call Bo Newsom to the ring. He informed Newsom that despite Stone's promise of a rematch between Newsom and Talent, he would have to earn his shot tonight. Newsom was willing to do whatever it took to earn a rematch. Talent stated that he would have to defeat his ally Slim J in order to earn a rematch.
Wild Billy Buck defeated Dustin Powers with Super Kick. As Buck was returning to the locker room, Amanda Starr interviewed the Mayne Event Chris Mayne and his manager Kevin Duncan. Duncan and Mayne blame Mayne's loss the Superstar Aaron Lee last week to Billy Buck. Starr reminded both Duncan and Mayne that Billy Buck was not in attendance last week and should not be blamed for Mayne's loss. This prompted Duncan to state if Buck had not gotten Mayne suspended, his client would be the North Georgia Champion. Chris Mayne went on the state that even though their suspension was over last week, Buck was not in attendance. This could only mean that Buck is a coward or as he would put it, yellow. This prompted Buck the storm the backstage area in search of Mayne.
Darkness defeated Vincent Chambers with Curb Stomp.
The Mayne Event Chris Mayne with Kevin Duncan defeated Dustin Michaels with the E-L-E. After the match Mayne mocks Billy Buck and attempted to Super Kick Michaels. This prompts Buck to dash to the ring. Mayne escapes the attack. This led to Duncan distracting Buck. During the distraction Mayne blindsides Buck.
North Georgia Championship Superstar Aaron Lee (c) defeated The Official Jacob Ashworth by pin fall after Lee hit Ashworth with the Starstruck.
J. T. Talent comes ringside and relieves Greg Hunter of his announcing duties to introduce the next match.
Slim J and Bo Newsom wrestled to a time limit draw. After a highly competitive match one would expect between these two, Slim J and Newsom landed several near falls on each other. Shortly after this, the J. T. Talent rung the timekeeper's bell and stated that the time limit for this match had expired. It appears that Talent is avoiding a rematch with Newsom at all costs.
The Son of Satan Azrael with Lloth defeated Chris King. An early interference attempt by Lloth brought Christy Turner to ringside. During Lloth's second interference attempt, Darkness attacked Chris King with the Curb Stomp leading to Azrael's win over King. After the match Darkness seemed to seek acceptance from Azrael. The Son of Satan grabbed Darkness by the hair, as to inspected him and then drug him from ringside.
APW Tag Team Championship The Friday Night Franchise Matt Sex Sells and The Rage Ryan Michaels (c) defeated Untouchable Jeremy Vain and Merciless Don Matthews when The Franchise hit the Quadruple Shot on Matthews.

Here is your official APW Wrestling preview for 2-15-08 at the Royston Gym in Royston, GA. Bell time is 8pm.
After the dastardly attack last week on APW owner Jerico Stone, at the hands of Southern States Champ JT Talent and his lackey Jacob Ashworth... and the subsequent arrest of Mr. Talent by the local authorities... It is unknown whether or not either man will be in attendance this week. BUT, if they are, there is no telling what could happen!
Meanwhile, Bo Newsom is still awaiting word from APW management about a Southern States title shot that he was robbed of TWICE. Once in a tag team match, and once last week when Talent and Ashworth attacked owner Jerico Stone, before he could address the issue. I think it's safe to say that EVERYONE wants to see that match, and more importantly, see Bo get that shot in a match with NO TIME LIMIT!!! Maybe there will be a decision this Friday ???
"The Event" Chris Mayne lost another match last week against North Georgia Champion, "Superstar" Aaron Lee. In a statement we recieved from Mayne's manager, Mr. Kevin Duncan, Mayne continues to lay the blame of all of his recent short comings on "Wild" Billy Buck. Buck, one of APW's favorites, wasn't even in the building last week, but he will be in the house this week. You can bet we will hear his thoughts on Mayne's continuous passing of the "buck".
And in your Main Event, APW Tag Team Champions, The Friday Night Franchise will defend the titles against former champions, "Merciless" Don Matthews and Jeremy Vain in a "put up or shut up" match! Plus much much more!

Here is your official preview for APW Wrestling live this Friday February 8, at the Royston Gym in Royston, GA. Bell time is 8:15pm. apwroyston@yahoo.com for more info. or check us out on myspace.com/alternativeprowrestling
The newly crowned North Georgia Champion, "Superstar" Aaron Lee undoubtedly had a career night last week and he has requested time to address his fans in Royston this Friday.
The Talent Show returns with APW owner Jerico Stone as the guest. Talent obviously plans to gloat about "winning" the tag match last week with Slim J and Bo Newsom. What Talent and Jacob Ashworth don't know is that Mr. Stone has reviewed the footage from last week, and lets just say, the door hasn't closed on Bo Newsom's championship dreams just yet!
New APW Tag Team Champions, The Friday Night Franchise (Ryan Michaels and Matt Sells), will have their first title defense against ½ of the former champions, Dustin Powers and a partner of his choosing.
Plus+++ Don Matthews and Jeremy Vain will take on Slim J and Bo Newsom, and what will happen when both Chris Mayne and Billy Buck return from their suspension? All this and more!

(1) "The Rage" Ryan Michaels defeated Chase Darkness by pin fall after delivering a flying elbow drop. The Talent Show hosted by Southern States Heavyweight Champion J.T. Talent. Tonight's guests were former APW Tag Team Champions Chris King and Wild Billy Buck. Talent attempted to instigate a rift between King and Buck by questioning Buck's whereabouts when King was pinned last week causing the two to loose the tag team titles. Buck and King demonstrated the solidarity that made them champions by stating both knew that it was Chris Mayne who interfered and cost them the titles. Talent attempted to further drive a wedge between the two by questioning if the tag team would evoke their rematch clause for the tag team titles or go after singles gold, namely the North Georgia Title. Before the tandem could answer, The Event Chris Mayne and his manager Kevin Duncan crashed the Talent Show. Mayne declared that neither should bother entering the tournament, because he will be the first North Georgia Heavyweight Champion. Mayne instigated an altercation with Buck by calling him a coward. Before the two could come to blows, Buck was restrained by his partner King.
(2) North Georgia Heavyweight Title Tournament Qualification Match Chris King defeated Superstar Aaron Lee with a backslide to qualify for the tournament, Lee had previously qualified for the tournament.
(3) In a match highlighting two of the entrants in the North Georgia Heavyweight Title Tournament, The Event Chris Mayne (with Kevin Duncan) defeated Kool Seth Delay by disqualification, when Billy Buck interfered and attacked Chris Mayne. Officials were required separate the two. During the brawl, both Mayne and Buck manhandled APW Officials resulting in a one week suspension for both. Now, Buck and Mayne are no longer a part of the North Georgia Heavyweight Title Tournament.
(4) Untouchable Jeremy Vain (with Don Matthews) defeated Matt Sex Sells (with Ryan Michaels) by pin fall after interference by Vain's tag team partner Merciless Don Matthews.
(5) APW Tag Team Championship Match Champions Justin Dirt and Dustin Powers issued an open challenge for the tag team titles. The Friday Night Franchise answered their challenge after both being in singles competition that same night. The Friday Night Franchise (Matt Sex Sells and Ryan Michaels) defeated champions Justin Dirt and Dustin Powers to win the tag team titles. The Franchise won the titles when Sells pinned Dirt after a Quadruple Shot.
(6) Southern States Heavyweight Championship Match Bo Newsome and champion J.T. Talent wrestled to a twenty minute time limit draw. At the request of Newsome and the fans of APW and with the consent of Talent, the match was extended for an addition Five Minute Overtime. In overtime, Newsome defeated Talent by pin fall with a corkscrew moonsault. The lockeroom emptied as Newsome was awarded the championship and announced as the new champion. However, Talent's Manager Jacob Ashworth confronted APW Owner Jerico Stone about the outcome of the match. J.T. Talent only agreed to defend the title in the sanctioned twenty minute time period. He never agreed to defend it in the overtime period. With Ashworth protesting the outcome of the match citing contractually the title was not on the line for the overtime period, J.T. Talent remains the Southern States Heavyweight Champion in spite of Newsome's victory over him. Stone announced next week as a special attraction during the North Georgia Heavyweight Championship Tournament, J.T. Talent and Jacob Ashworth would face Bo Newsome and Slim J in tag team action. If Slim J and Newsome win, Newsome will get another shot at the title. This time the championship match will be contested without a time limit and there must be a winner.
