we've just completed our second album tentatively entitled finale of seem. special thanks goes to mike coykendall, jeff saltzman, carl saff, kate obrien-clarke, tim willcox, and tucker jackson. you can listen to three songs from the album -- "iterative at best," "expectations" and "medal for your friends" -- on our myspace player.

so, hello damascus has been making a second album with mike coykendall and jeff saltzman. you might see a new song or two pop up in our player from time to time. the first one we’ve thrown up there is called "iterative at best."

There's a new Portland music compilation, Pop Tomorrow, coming out May 12. Great artists on the comp include Argumentix, Please Step Out of the Vehicle, Tractor Operator, Jared Mees, and more. Hello Damascus' song "Etheridge" can also be found on the disc. You can pre-order the compilation at this link.

Looks like Hello Damascus' debut record, "Harvest Dolls" (Antler Records), will be ready in time for a formal release at the July 12 Holocene show with Bright Red Paper and Nate Ashley.

Hello Damascus will be playing this year's MusicfestNW, a large Portland, Ore. music festival started by local weekly Willamette Week. The festival will be held Sept. 7, 8, and 9.

Watch this space for information on where and when Hello Damascus will be playing the festival.

According to various reports, Hello Damascus' song "Randy" will be featured on the PDX Pop Now! 2006 compilation CD.
