First of all, huge fuck you to Myspace since I just posted a long and detailed blog about all recent WSWS happenings only to have it not show up. Great. What is important is that we got our asses in gear and finished our record, which is available here, or from us directly at a show. Thanks to indiepool for helping us make this record easily available to everyone. Maybe you'll like it. This guy sure didn't! Maybe our next record will rescue Canada's music scene from its grave, who knows.
We also just wrapped up a tour to the West coast of our beautiful country and back. Thanks to everyone who made it happen; punk rock karma is on your side and everything was very much appreciated on our end. Photos of the continuous debauchery will be made available for your viewing displeasure very soon. Come see us at FAM on friday at the Boom Boom Room because it's going to be utterly stupid for us to play in there, and pick up the CD if you haven't already.
Much love,
WSWS

1. We will have a record real real soon, I swear.
2. We've now written almost enough material for a whole new full length. We'll be playing a lot of new stuff by the time Fall hits, when we'll hopefully be playing pretty frequently.
2. We thought we could book a tour out west for the end of the summer and that it wouldn't be a totally difficult thing. We were wrong. We have a few dates, but it is not working out very well for us overall at this point. We basically need all the help we can get. We don't want to lose our asses on this but we're open to playing almost any show. August 20-September 5th. Get as us if you can help in any way.
Thanks,
Kyle

We're stoked to be able to share two unmastered versions of new songs that we recently recorded with our friends Jay Merrow and Jer Dennis. Both of these songs are going to appear on an upcoming full length that should be available before the end of the year. The Slow Dawn features viola courtesy of Anna Atkinson, and A.D. features Steve Ward on the trombone. Please have a listen and come see us play the the FAM festival on September 14th at the University of Windsor (we play at 8:25 on the outdoor stage). Come early because there's a good handful of really solid bands that are worth seeing and it's all free.

here's what's new:
-we are engaged in the recording process right now with jay merrow and jer dennis at AJ basement studio in amherstburg. everything is sounding good so far and the second we have something to share it will be posted here, so keep checking back in the next month or so if you're into hearing some new jams
-kevin is going to be packing his bags for the west coast at the end of the month for an indefinite amount of time, and it looks as though our last show with him in the foreseeable future might be july 14th at avalon front with the wonderful instrumental trio because of ghosts from the other side of the planet. windsor is going to be a lot less jazzy. come say your goodbyes.
-because of ghosts is incredible and we are priveleged to be playing with them july 12th and 13th as well in toronto and guelph, respectively, so please come to any and all of these shows if you have the means to and support such a ripping band that is travelling so far to share their music with all of us.
thats all for know, keep your eyes peeled here for more updates on the recording.

We have some radically sic shirts for sale. These bad boys cost 10 bucks.

We also have a few copies of our Summer 2006 Tour EP left. Five dollars for 3 songs + an important piece of cautionary information. Even if you hate our music, the warning alone is worth the five dollars

If you want any of these things, drop us a message and we'll figure out a way to get them to you.
Much love,
Colin + wsws

Tour was fantasitc. We played some awesome shows, met some awesome people, saw some beautiful sights, and on the whole, had a really great time. Thanks to everyone who booked us, came to watch, bought a cd, offered us a floor/backyard to sleep on/camp in, or helped us out in any way. You know who you are.
What Seas, What Shores will be taking a break from playing shows for a few months while our members pursue other ends. Kyle will be hitting the road, touring with his other bands, while Kevin will be embarking on a trek across Western Canada. We wish them both the best of luck and hope for safe returns.
Although this results in a temporary suspension of the live aspect of the band, work continues (slowly, but steadily) on the full length cd. One can expect this to be available in the Winter/Spring months. We may try to squeeze in a live show here or there with a modified line-up, but no promises.
We still have plenty of copies of the Tour EP, as well as T-shirts available for sale. Send us a message, or contact any of our members via the e-mail addresses listed on our main myspace page if you are interested in obtaining these fine pieces of merchandise. The cd is $5 and shirts are $12, and come in a few different colours. I will post pictures of these items soon.
