Okay, so I lied. There are no new songs posted, but I promise this will be the last time I lie to you.

So it's been awhile. We apologize for our lack of existence. We've gone through a lot of changes over the past few months. James and Tom decided they no longer want to be Amory Rock 'n' Roll superstars. It's rumored that they have started a band called The Love Triangle. With that said it has been Mike, Ryan and myself working on our own love triangle of new material. However, all you Tom and James fans (you know who you are ladies; I've seen those text messages) have no fear for they will both be playing on a few tracks.

We have around 40 plus new songs. I've been struggling to wrap my head around that, but we've finally begun recording demos; some sound more promising than others. It's strange though because the three of us have never been more excited yet frightened about our songs before. Within the next couple months we'll begin recording with NJ's Bachelor of 2008, Ethan "Dolla" Bill. Check out this fine piece of meat here: http://www.myspace.com/room368

Continuing with our newfound theme of honesty, I admit that we haven't been completely immersed in repairing our band's work ethic. I hate to say it but we've drifted apart. I guess you could say that we have been focusing on ourselves as individuals? Maybe.

Ryan and Mike now live together in New Jersey. We relocated our practice space to their new house. The Saloon, as we like to call it, quickly became notorious for its debaucherous (can't be a word) house parties. If you've never been there then you've definitely heard stories.


Yes, the rumors are true. Ryan drank piss. End of story. Anyways, on his last trip to the west coast, Ryan must have left something important behind. He recently made another trip back out to California and hung out with Tom from Myspace, insulted him by saying he preferred Facebook over Myspace, and later mooned Paris Hilton in LA. I'm not sure if he ever found what he was looking for but he did return with some fresh kicks.

When Mike isn't updating our forever growing list of songs, he works as a photographer's assistant and gets to work with super-mega-models and eat lunch with find ladies such as Heidi Klum. He really works wonders with that Photoshop. Got a great potential Myspace/Facebook default picture, but you have a big zit on your nose? Missing a finger? Want to slim yourself down a bit? Get in touch with Mike. He'll make you look hotter than Natalie Portman.



Ah. Natalie Portman (Hershlag is her real last name by the way). Again, the rumors are true. We're dating. After a 4-month retreat to New Jersey, I finally had enough and moved back to Brooklyn; made the jump from my old apartment in Hipsterville Williamsburg to a waterfront artist loft in Yuppieville DUMBO (Down Under The Manhattan Bridge). Found myself buying Natalie Portman drinks at a Band of Thieves show in the East Village. Ever since then I've been spending a lot of time and money on my A-list actress girlfriend dining at vegan restaurants. Not sure how long this one will last especially when I find things like this on Gawker.com:

"Saw Natalie Portman at vegan restaurant Heirloom on Orchard. She was tiny, which might explain why she seemed wasted after two organic cocktails. Perfect skin. With not-as-good-looking boyfriend and two other average looking people. Or maybe they were just average-looking because they were sitting next to NP. Moral of tale: do not hang out with movie stars if you want to look remotely cute."

Thanks Gawker! Next to TMZ and PerezHilton.com you don't look so great yourself. A-list actress? She'd kill me if she read this. Thank God she doesn't have Myspace.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that we're all doing fine. Not amazing; not terrible; just fine. We're as happy as we can be with our situation, but honestly we've been struggling to hold onto that "brother from another mother" vibe that kept us going. If anything, these songs are the only reason we're still together. That says a lot about how much of ourselves we have put into our music this time around. We can't wait to finally release some new material and start playing shows again. We miss it a lot. We miss you! We're going to be updating more frequently with videos, pictures, a brand new website and some new tracks so keep in touch!

Drop us some comments/messages/hate mail and remind us why we even do this in the first place.

hey everybody

we've missed you guys!!! its been a long time since we've posted anything on myspace and that is because we've been hard at work writing tons and tons of new songs. we'll be demoing a bunch of them soon and probably will throw one or two up on myspace asap. we're also looking forward to seeing all of your familiar faces at some shows that we have coming up, those will all have the info posted shortly so bear with us. in the meantime, check out our loudmerch page (www.loudmerch.com/amory), we have a few shirts left over there before we order lots of new merch in the coming weeks. we're gonna start a blog over at amoryrocknroll.com documenting all the writing and recording of our next record so be on the lookout for that stuff too. lastly, leave us some comments even if its just to say what's up, we love hearing from everybody and we'll try to respond to everything we can. thanks alot guys, we cant wait to see you all real soon.

Hello Hello,

We are currently preparing the release of our 7 song EP "Better Days" produced and recorded by John Naclerio (Steel Train, Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, Brand New, etc).

We are looking for anyone who is interested in joining our street team to help us promote the release of our EP.

As a memeber of our street team you will learn all aspects of marketing/advertising/promotion from the bottom up.
