As a lot of you guys know, I have been filming an Independent, feature length film about the coming of age of a gay boy into a Drag Queen. Acting is something that I've always dreamed of doing. I've dedicated nearly all of my energy for the last couple of months to this project. Yes, my working energy and believe it or not my party energy...well about 95%, teehee. This weekend is our final weekend of shooting. This weekend also happens to be the best chance for you to be in this film. Here is the info in a message from the Producer/Director/Writer of this film. It contains all the info you should need to help me realize my life long dream. Thank you.

Jarrad/Suppositori

PS Come to Truck on Sunday at 9pm for the post filming Martini Shot party/show.

Greetings All,
As you know we are in the midst of filming "The Rise and Fall Of Jeremy Starr", an INDY film that I have written and am in the process of directing.
We wrap up filming this weekend with our club scenes filmed at "DIVA'S" located at 1081 Post St. (at Polk) and I am putting out a call for extras.
Here are the stats; we shoot,
Saturday, Oct. 18 th, 12 to about 5 pm, need about a dozen extras
(scenes around bar area)
Sunday, Oct. 19 th, 12 to about 6 pm, need about 25 extras
           (scenes involving full dance club)
Extras are asked to bring a couple of different tops if possible as we are shooting multiple scenes each day.
This is a non-paying gig but extras will be asked to sign release forms to receive credit in the movie, the bar will be open to purchase drinks and lunch will be supplied and I promise to make it fun.
As we will be shooting multiple scenes if someone can come for either the first or second half of the day they can still be helpful.
So PLEASE, forward this to anyone you think might be interested.
I thank you all for any help you can give me with this project.
                    Gratefully yours, David Lassman, Producer

For so many reasons fo sho! The number one reason is cuz I'm coming out of my seasonal depression I get every summer in fucking foggy-ass San Francisco!!! Truly, when it gets hot in SF I get even hotter! Why don't I just list my favorite Hot things for September:

8 Dolores Park when the temperature tops 80 degrees.

7 Jeremy Starr. If you haven't already heard, I've just started filming an independent feature film called THE RISE AND FALL OF JEREMY STARR. Stay tuned for upcoming scenes where we need YOU!!! Over the next couple of weeks we will be filming club scenes where we will need lots of extras. What a great way of supporting independent film and local artists while also getting your pretty faces on the big screen, right?

6 Desperate Divas Pageant. The unveiling of 2009's Desperate Diva's Calendar will pale in comparison to the civil rivalry and benevolent yet cut-throat competition of this year's calendar pageant girls. May I say to the other girls: Break a leg! Oh wait, I see Mercedez Munro beat us to that. See below for more info on the pageant, the calendar and how to support me!

5 Pink Slip. Yes, the new drag show on Tuesdays at the Stud. Yes, hosted by Virginia Suicide who had a little youtube scandal this summer (makes you wonder why she ever changed her name from Lucy Lips, huh?) And, yes the club I perform at nearly every week. What can I say, I just love the team that promotes the night and I love that the stage has been repaired, re-painted and EXPANDED. Plus, I love any show that doesn't restrict me to just one number a night. For more info, visit www.pinkslipsf.com

4 180 Magazine. The Academy of Art has just launched a new national magazine. Currently 60,000 copies are being circulated at Fashion Week in NY. If you'd like to see the 12 pages of my spread, I'll be giving out some at COCKTAILGATE. Thank you Kyle Farmer, in case you haven't met him, he's a dear friend of mine from London who happens to be a professor at the Academy and Creative, Artistic director of 180, teehee.

3 POSER. Limo Rides, Red Carpets, Paparazzi, performers of all kinds, Steven Fishell handing out drink tickets, and me (as a BOY, if you can believe) DJing every week, no cover, and those fucking amazing Truck burgers and fries; every Thursday. Enough said.

2 COCKTAILGATE. Did I mention SF Weekly's pick for best new drag show 2008?
Sept 14th  WERKING GURLS   (there is also a Carol Channing contest at Truck b4 my show info below)
Sept 21st    UNHEALTHIEST LOVE SONGS OF ALL TIME  pretty self explanatori
Sept 28th    OVER THE TOP Let's Go Down(Under) This is the day of Folsom and is going to be nuts. I'm MCing the 12th street stage which I'm so happy about. This theme is in honor of The Presets who are playing at Folsom and are Australians. So any Australian band, singer or actors.

1 FOLSOM STREET FAIR. I will be hosting and MCing the 12th street stage at the 25th anniversary year of the Folsom Street Fair on Sunday September 28th. Looks like I'll be introducing acts like Von Iva, English Beat and Shiny Toy Guns. Just wait and see what I'll be wearing, or not wearing! What is it about bad habits that make them so hard to get rid of? And why are good habits so reluctant to be taken up? Here I am 6 months into my 31st year on this planet and I still don't know why it feels so good to be bad. I quit smoking last summer and it lasted approximately 6 months. It's true what they say: You're only a puff away from a pack a day. Not to mention the last 5 months that I've had a gym membership, which I have been to on average of 2.5 times a month. But the worst habitual behavior of all, I haven't been able to trick myself into the habit of blogging on a more regular basis. You guys have the right to know these amazing things
that are going on. Not to mention all the living you could save simply from earning from the mistakes I've made. Alas, I must not dwell, let's all look forward...at least to this weekend.

Before we even get that far I have a present for everyone. This Thursday, along with Mr Anthony, DJ Natureboy, and DJ Jimmy Strano I am bringing you the only Post-Apocolyptic Pre-Pride Party: Disco Hospital. This Thursday at Deco Lounge from 10 until it's time to go you are
going to be nursed to health with some sick, sick, sick tunes from us crazy azz bitchez. Come test your vision with the amazing Jonathan Solo's crucifix installation, test your ears with one of the most talented and fishy performers I've ever met, Ben McCoy and be ready to turn your head and
cough when I get to you.
And remember Thursday the 12th is the new Friday the 13th.

Friday I will be taking myself out to see the new M. Night Shyamalan movie since nobody else is gonna do it. Fuck you bitches.

Saturday will not be for breathing or thinking, just working. I will be helping the very worthy cause of one of the sweetest people I know. Do you remember a couple of weeks ago there was a nearly month long weekly prostest against Herth Realty in conjuction with No on 98. Well, the
fight is not completely over. If you live in SF I urge you to contact nfo@worstof.org for more information about this really important action that will also be fun and filled with cute boys.
Then in the late afternoon I'll be doing a photo shoot in the mission for a local paper that I won't name until it's actually hit the presses; but you shall be seeing me in very soon. Then off to Cookie Dough's Trannyshack star studded tribute and finishing the night off to perform at Bootie's Midnight
Mash up Show on the main stage of the DNA Lounge.
(breathe, breathe...go)
On Sunday I have the immense pleasure of hosting and performing at my baby. Well, maybe it's more than my baby, it's my true love...or entire life as of late; let's be honest. If you don't know what in Sam Hell (that's a great Drag King name, I wonder if there already is one) I am talking about, I'll tell you. I am talking about my very own award winning show COCKTAILGATE at Truck. If you haven't already seen this show it's something you ought to soon. SF Weekly just named it the best new Drag Show in SF 2008. We've had some bizarre themes and tributes, but
this week I thought I'd gay it up a bit in preparation for upcoming Pride shit. This week's theme is Trannii Minogue. Yes, a tribute show to not just one but both Minogue sisters. The other one is Dannii Minogue if you don't know. I'm determined to continue with my good habit forming behaviour and start the show at it's intended time this week and that is 9PM. There is
never a cover and Truck (which also got best Gay Bar) serves food until midnight.
With all of this going on, I better see anyone that is in SF city limits at least once this weekend or I won't be responsible for my actions.

Boy, oh boy do I have some good things in store for you this month. I've been a little quiet over the last two weeks because I have been cackling over my cauldron, brewing some wicked themes for Cocktailgate and concocting some iniquitous performances for all of you.

This upcoming weekend definitely will be benefitting from this incubatory period. This Saturday, May 3rd, is the Grand Re-opening of legendary Polk area venue Kimo's. Tony Molson, often more commonly known as Mr. Crickett Bardot, recently bought this venue which has been home for amazing drag shows as well as rocking live music acts for decades. As of late, the venue has more or less gone neglected by the general public at large. With the endless upgrades and improvements that Tony has been making for this gem of a space, Kimo's hibernation is officially over starting this weekend. Crickett Bardot will be gracing the stage with one of the longest living erotic arts, belly dancing, then I will be warming the crowd up with a raucous drag performance for the rockin' talents of Tony's own rock band. I'm sure most of you know that Tony and Crickett have two young kids, sassy Sasha and lovable Lane. These kids are destined with greatness drinking from the endless wells of their parents' talent, love and support. So join me this Saturday to support their new endeavour.

And then Sunday come to Truck for a night I can only call "Just Plain Crazy". Glamamore, Monistat and I will be performing songs that...well, are crazy. Not just lyrically or in title only, but also in interpretation. I dare you to find a queen in this town that can rival the level of craziness of myself, Monistat or Glamamore. As well, we will have a special, crazy as a shithouse rat, dj: Joshzilla.

This weekend was also meant to be the second installment of my monthly club SeXXY at Metro. Unfortunately, this has been put on hold since I must go to my hometown for my Granny's memorial. She was an amazing woman that I had the immense pleasure of living with for the first 6months of my post nest life way back in 1996. After a long and brave battle with lung cancer she has moved on from this plane of existence. I won't get into the gifts that my Granny has given to my life and who I am here (that's another blog for another time), but it does make me happy, that while me and my family are celebrating her full life, that some of you out there will be adding to the love.

Jarrad/Suppositori

PS If you haven't already, please add COCKTAILGATE to your list of friends on Myspace. This site is thanx to the efforts of my dear friend Joshzilla and can be found at www.myspace.com/cocktailgate.

PPS and cuz I was never very good at keeping a secret; here's a sneak peak at some of our upcoming themes at COCKTAILGATE.

May 11th "I Lost ME to Beth" a tribute to Portishead

May 18th "Oxy Mormons" with special guest Princess Kennedy

PPPS This is the final post script, I promise. If you are a performer or the drag bug has recently bitten you and you want to perform in one of my shows. Send me a message with your email and I will add you to the 'behind the scenes' mailing list that I have just recently made. This list is how I let performers know what my upcoming themes are before the general public. I also have on this list videographers and photographer who might be interested in immortalizing San Franciscan artists. Because, let's face it, most of us queens don't do this cuz we're camera shy.

God Bless San Francisco on days like today. The sun is shining, the wind isn't blowing which means the boys most certainly will be. So I'm just going to get this out of the way and get on with my day. You guys deserve to know what's going on this weekend with my shows just as much as I deserve a stroll in the park...with release.
First things first. Have you guys seen my write up in SF Weekly by Evan James? I love being on the main page of www.sfweekly.com. I may be on page 10 (still pretty good I have to say) in the physical world but on the net my article is one of the featured articles of the week which means the cartoon ( I can't tell you how much I love that - thank you Aaron www.robotsinlove.com) of me is on the main page. woohoo...famous.

For the first time in, let's see...I think a couple of decades; I will not be performing this Friday. I'm fighting the urge to make love to my Netflix and hibernate. Instead I'll be checking out the new and improved Kimo's for High Drag starring Glamamore and lots of my other favourite queens with tunes from DJ Natureboy.

But Saturday I'm back to WERK. I'll be DJing at the world famous Bootie at DNA Lounge thrown by the tirelessly terrific A + D. www.bootiesf.com I remember way back when we, along with Mr Anthony, used to tackly every Friday night at The Stud with our little club that nearly did called Guilty. That was one of the funnest 10 months I've had. Back to Bootie (too easy, I'm not even going to say anything). I've never really been all that much into mashups if I'm going to be altogether honest, so why would they ask me to DJ there? I will be DJing in shifts with the always amazing Adrian Roberts and ridiculously talented DJ Earworm. If you've ever heard a mashup that blew you off your feet, he probably made it (and he's hot...I hope it's a very small booth). We will be in the smaller room upstairs in the UnderCover Lounge.  Yes, my dream come true an entire night of nothing but covers. wkpjnf'iarej pgsdjev..fjm sdnmf sorry, I'm very excited. Come early to hear my chill/lounge/truly twisted/non dance covers that I love so dearly. I didn't even have to ask for the 9-10 shift, sometimes I think A + D know my place better than I do, lol. Don't worry I'll be DJing later as well, but Marc Almond covering Madonna, or Placebo covering Kate Bush no you'll have to come early to hear those. If you want on the list send me a message, I love a big list. But be sure to send it to me promptly by 4pm saturday, cuz I won't be able to check my messages after that.

And Sunday of course I'll be sloshing about COCKTAILGATE. Last week's theme Ladies of the 90's tried to mame me with it's fierceness, but I can walk normally again after days of convalescing. I can already tell this week is going to put me in my grave with it's fierceness. That's all very appropriate since this week's theme is OH! MY! GOTH!
That's right children, powder up your faces and slouch your shoulders we're gonna party like it's 11:59, late October.
My Gender Delusionists this week include Jupiter, Monistat, Sandra O. Noshidi'n't, the Undisclosed Baroness, and more.  We'll even have goth dancing lessons.
Let's hear it for Joshzilla for making COCKTAILGATE it's very own myspace. Please add it here: www.myspace.com/cocktailgate. It's still a newborn, so pardon if it does something gross like, I don't know spits up on you or anything. I can't wait to see how Super Ste, our Bucket Boy shows up this week. He told me he used to be a goth. I'm having a hard time imagining.

Something to look forward to: SeXXY May 2nd. For those of you who happen to have heard about this new party I just started with Jimmy Strano in time to make it last Friday, you already know how much fun it was. For those of you who are just now hearing about it, you'll find out soon enough. SeXXY is my new baby at Metro City Bar on first Fridays. Last week the audience was sparse but the fun was immeasurably high thanx to my wonderful cast, Lady Bear, Kegel Kater, and Kim Burly. This party kind of snuck up on Jimmy and I and we didn't have adequate time to book or advertise it properly (I was intending to have 5 performers and had 4). Then 3 hours before showtime, I found out that one of the people I did get a chance to book was banned from the Metro. So after panicking for a solid 90seconds I decided that since I hadn't been able to locate talent, I was going to create some. I decided to use the money I was going to pay the other performer and instead use it as a prize for a Virgin Queen contest. During the first show I asked for 3 'volunteers' to come into the back and myself and the other performers put them into drag and they picked songs out of my retardly exstensive music library. Well, let's say the fun that ensued was so off the muthafuggin hook, we'll be doing this contest every month. Next months cast includes Fauxnique.

See you soon.

Two weeks ago I threw caution, better judgement and haters’ opinions to the wind and hosted a Tori Amos night at my club COCKTAILGATE. Like a dumbass, I forgot to bring my video camera to what turned out to be one of the most successful shows (even though, in that sense, each week is like children to me). But something has made it into immortality. Here is the video posted on myspace by North(Ern)  Lad. Thank you. In case you care, but can’t tell, this is the live version of Professional Wido (’It’s Gotta Be Big’ Tori’s phenomenally successful gay house/club remix from 96.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0kgi_te2P4

Also I wanted to mention that I did finally meet Tori Spelling this week. We’ve never even talked or written to each other before.

But there will be a separate blog all about including video and photos, as soon as I get the photos (do you hear me Saraah?)

For the last couple of days I've been creating and inventing and editting and rehearsing and building NON-STOP!!! Not only for myself but for and with some of my favourite performers and friends. All this 'work' means this next week and even month will be very entertaining time for you guys. I'm realllllly excited about the things I've got planned for you. Right now, between the creative Ronco juicing of my brain and the caffeine crash from this morning, I'm a bit drained...to a pulp. So I'm just gonna list off this week's shows.

As I'm sure I've mentioned once or twice, I did a little extra work on the new Gus Van Sant film called MILK. It's the story of Harvey Milk and his inspiring if not tragic life and career. It's written by the incredibly talented (and adorable) Lance Black. It's been really nice to see Lance again. I haven't seen him since I moved away from LA in 2001, where I had a small speaking role in his first film. I'm trying to work my way into Big Love which he is also a writer for. The movie stars Sean Penn as Milk as well as James Franco (swoon), Diego Luna, Emile Hirsch, Josh Brolin and Lucas Grabeel as Danny Nicoletta who I have the honor of calling a friend (or at least a mutually respected acquaintence - close enough, right? lol). Danny is a ridiculously gifted photographer. Most likely any photo of Harvey Milk that pops into your mind was taken by Danny. Since the movie will finish filming in the next week, I've decided to throw a wrap party for all the extras that I met on set or crew... or cast (wink wink). So bring your pink slip showing you worked on the film and I'll buy you a drink! My COCKTAILGATE show never has a cover, so why wouldn't you. This week's theme is Sir Prize, cuz I just may have some surprises up my sleeve for this week. Truck is at 15th and Folsom and the show is at 9...ish.

See you soon.
