Why I travel..

Growing up I had a father on one side of the planet and a mother on the other side. I grew up traveling and I have known no other life. I wanted to share with you how traveling can impact your life.

Feeling burned out?

Why vacations are the remedy

T raveling can expand your horizons and give you a better perspective on the rest of the world. Whether you're spending time with family and friends, learning about new things, or getting that restorative rest you need-vacations are good for you.

While many think they don't have the time or the money for vacations, at the end of the day, going on vacation is a choice. You have a choice how to spend your time and hard-earned money.

Be the person you want to be

Life experiences, like vacations, generally make people happier than purchasing material possessions, says assistant Professor Leaf Van Boven, a psychologist at Cornell University who studies happiness and has conducted surveys and experiments on this subject.

"What prompted our research was the conflict people face in spending discretionary income and using it to maximize their happiness". He says. "We asked people to think of times they have spent money pursuing life experiences and times they've spent money on material possessions. Most reported it's the experiences they remember most and brought them the most happiness.

There are several reasons why life experiences, such as travel. Make people happy, he says. First, investing in an experience says a lot about the person that you are, or want to be. "If you are adventurous, you can choose to go do something exciting" Van Boven says. "If you are more of a cultured person, you can visit museums or other places. These experiences provide an opportunity for people to accomplish higher-level goals that define their quality of life."

Travel can also make you a more interesting person. "Pursuing experiences fosters social well-being in a way that possessions don't," he says. "This happens because we do things with other people, while it's possible to acquire material possessions in isolation." Plus the activities we engage in help us become the person we want to be.

Finding the time and money to travel

Nowadays travel is much easier for the average person to do. There are many new ways that people are able to save and also programs they can join that helps to bring down the cost substantially. One of the ways people travel is to rent a last minute villa or condo .

But that is still only the first step in how to really knock off a big chunk of your travel expense. There are many ways that people lower their travel expenses. A very popular travel trend in USA is joining a travel club. These clubs are great because you have a company that are really knowledgeable about the resorts and activities and rates and they are able to negotiate a better rate because of the bigger buying power with the members in the club, those rates are then passed on to the members. We are particularly impressed with the

Dream trip program from World Ventures

Because of the wide selection and low membership price. They also offer a way for you to refer other members and earn money and travel dollars. Many members are traveling free with the company because of them referring other members; this is a great solution for people who have a lesser budget.

The big triple knock out punch is, combining the travel club with owning your own online travel site and the referral program. That allows an individual to not only travel wholesale but also get great tax breaks from running a home based part time travel business. Because they are earning money from online travel sales from their own travel site

They can now visit resorts and learn what makes those resorts unique and that in turn will turn that vacation into a business trip and therefore a tax write off. Many of those reps. are reporting an average tax savings of more than $4,000 a year. So in turn now they are traveling absolutely free.

For those reps that are massively promoting these programs they can become a full time business and in turn they are enjoying 5 star travels absolutely free and earning incomes that absolutely can change lives.

The full program with each benefits can be viewed here

Setting time aside

S etting time aside to travel is crucial, experts say. Many people think they can't take a vacation. They think their job won't be able to get by without them and they convince them selves that they can't get away. But going on a vacation is part of being a productive and healthy employee. Without breaks from work, employees can burn out, and their work can suffer.

Studies have shown that well-rested, vacation-taking employees are more productive and more successful. Many European countries have known this for years.

The average American worker earns far fewer vacation days than most of their counterparts around the globe. Compared with other nations, the United States ranks at the bottom of the list with an average of just 13 vacation days a year. Italy offers a generous average of 42 days a year. - More than three times the U.S average. France is not far behind, offering its workers an average of 37 vacation days per year. By European standards, the United Kingdom's average of 28 days seems almost paltry but it's still more tan twice the American average. What's worse it seems, is that most Americans don't use all of the paid vacation time allotted to them.

"I really think that most Americans have an upside-down view of what is most important in their lives" says Joe Robinson author of Work to Live: The guide to getting a life.

"We put the emphasis on production and out put. While production is a good thing and having a work ethic is important, production alone doesn't produce life satisfaction."

Instead, business benefit from a focus on more-balanced employees. Studies have shown that well rested employees are more successful. It's also been proven that time off increases positive mood, a sense of initiative and competence, and the more leisure activities a person is involved in the higher their life satisfaction.

Earn while you build your list

Building your home business can truly be a costly one.  Each time you turn around you seem to spend every dollar you have on advertising and not getting ahead in your business.

It basically will nickel and dime you to death.

You really can't get ahead in your business if you have to spend a ton on advertising, especially when you are first starting out.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone could show you basically step by step how you can build your home business without spending a ton of money while doing it?

Well, there is some good news.

I recently came across something that I think will really help your business as it has mine.

It is a videos series by a guy named Mike Dillard called "Building On A Budget".

In these videos Mike shows you how to build any home business for $500 or less.

I took these free videos and purchased his ridiculously low priced book, and within two weeks of applying the techniques he teaches and am now getting as many as 10 new qualified prospects per day.

The best part is that I did not spend much money while doing it.

Now I have the tools to grow my business without getting nickel and dimed to death.

You can get free access to these videos by going here...

LET'S GET DOWN AND DIRTY!

First I wanted to address the topic of money. Don't worry this is not a sales letter, it's not my style. But it is a topic that happens to be close to my heart (You will know why in a little bit) The fact of the matter is you probably don't have enough and want more money. In the back of your mind right now you are evaluating if this blog is a waste of time. I assure you it is not. Here is why not. 98% of people are financially totally  craporama! If you are in the 2% stick around and send me an email so we can exchange ideas. But for the rest of you stick around so I can share my story it helps trust me.

WHAT IS BIGGER YOUR EGO OR YOUR BANK ACCOUNT?

One time when I was doing a business presentation After the presentation this lady came up to me and said she really liked my presentation but she thought I spoke to much about money. I said to her "Really? That is amazing I guess you have enough money? "Yes" she said she did not need anymore money. I said fine, I reached in my pocket and took out a $20 bill and said to her that I will give her this $20 bill if she answered a question and that she would need to be honest. I asked, "did you lie just now to me when you said you had enough money? She said "no". I put the $20 back in my pocket and said "well good then you have enough money." She argued with me and said "but you said you would give it to me if I was honest". I told her "what I mean by enough is when someone offers it to you, and you really don't want it. That is what I mean by enough." So I asked her again. "Where you honest with me when you said you had enough money?" She then said "I guess not", so I gave her the $20 bill.

LET'S BE HONEST!

It's safe to say that you can really never have enough money. Look at Warren Buffet. June 26 2006 he gave away 36 Billion to sharity and he has now made it all back. He is again the richest in the world. I would assume that he still doesn't have enough because he probably wants to give more away before he dies. What would you do with a billion dollars? What would be possible for you? Could you do some good with it? Are you ready to have more?

MY MESSAGE

Yes, I am in business and yes I use Myspace to promote my business and no I am not trying to sell you anything. Let's get it out in the open right now. My business is about creating partnerships, and helping each other succeed.

I am not about to launch my pitch about the next great system launching in three days and all you have to do is get in before the thing BLOWS up!! And you stand to make millions but you have to act now bla bla bla. Make $500 hundred a day easy no selling and so on... I am sure you are as tired of that stuff as I am. With all that online "noise" I always wondered if there was any real business online for someone like me.

Making money online is not what you think.

If you don't know yet making money online is not at all what it seems. It doesn't come charging at you like a pack of hungry wolves. It will enter your life with something to offer you. It will lead you down a path that makes sense and feels right, it supports you and wants you to succeed it gives you free information and will be there for you when you have questions it never tricks you to spend money. It directs and suggests and guides you. It simply is a helping hand that cares and wants to see as many people succeed as possible.

It took me a long time to figure this out. I thought the internet was this cold place where everyone was just trying to get you to go to sites that where designed to get your wallet out. I never knew there was any real people with good  intentions.

Now I know that you can have tremendous success online as an individual, when you are focused on adding value to peoples lives. I think it is safe to say that when you shift your focus away from trying to get a sale, to how can I help, and how can I serve, you will be able to work online full time and make more money than you ever dreamt of.

THE POWER OF THE INTERNET WORKING FOR YOU.

Believe it or not the internet is the most powerful tool ever invented for human beings. The world is created by the word and the internet can speak all over the world in a matter of seconds. When you harness that power and use it for good it can expand your message beyond your wildest imagination. You have the ultimate power at your finger tips.

You have to stop being a sales man, and start giving solutions to problems. Take the sales letter you have on your Myspace site down and start growing your list of friends and start sharing ideas with them. Take some online courses on attracting business to you instead of you chasing business.

SUCCESS ONLINE TIPS!

1) Your myspace page is not a sales forum. It's a forum to meet and connect with people who have similar interests.

2) Don't ever have banners on your page that sell stuff. It's a turn off!

3) Spend money learning how to market online. Spend money on your own growth. The more you know the more value you can add to someone else.

4) Most important. Tell your story. You are the product. You are the one that they would follow not the company or the product.

WHO IS MICAH. MY STORY

I am a young looking 39 year old ;) Growing up my parents split up when I was four years old.  I spent 14 years in Sweden my dad lived in Los Angeles and the only way I got to see my father growing up was because he had his own business and could afford the airline tickets. Had it not been for having enough money I would not have been able to grow up with a father in my life and he has been a huge influence for me. That is why I always challenege people who say don't speak about money. Right now, somewhere in the world one dollar would save a life. So I speak about money.

I was a happy child my mother and father loved me. I had lots of love growing up my mother had lots of love to give, not a lot of money, but lots love. I would take love over money anyday. But why choose, I say love and money is best.

NOT AS EASY AS I THOUGHT.

When I was 18, I moved to LA from Sweden. I had two suit cases and $70 in my pocket and a place to stay. I was set on "making it" I spent a few years modeling and doing TV commercials and all though that was fun it was not going to make me "rich". I was hungry for success. If I could just get the right opportunity I would go after it like no one else. Like a hungry tiger, I wanted the life so bad the glits and the freedom, I would dream about it. Then it landed on my lap. Yes you guessed...MLM

I spent a total of 6 years in Network Marketing. I have done it all, three way calls two on one presentations, homeparties, hotel meetings etc. I have had countless people mad at me for showing them the plan I have had people hang up in my face and hundreds quit the business. I have driven 300 miles to have no one show up. I have had the friends who talked behind my back, "he is doing those pyramid deals."

I did everything they told me. They said "pay attention, get excited and never quit" All though I understand the idea that you need to give it some time before you can have success, I felt something was missing something wasn't quite there and I was loosing my way and my belief in the industry. And I was scared that I would not get the life I wanted so bad. My dream house, my dream vacation and my freedom.

SUNSHINE AHEAD!

A few months ago I came across some information that litterally changed my whole approach to business. This info simply showed me how I could become someone who people chased instead of someone who they would run from, it made so much sense when they told me how it was done. I could not believe I had not seen this before. Of course I had doubts at first and it was a pradigm shift for me. I was used to being the one who chased people. With the help of the internet I started to implement the ideas I was tought. A little while later I got a call asking me to share with them what I was doing. It was such an incredible feeling. That was the first time I ever had someone call me about my business. The methods we are using are almost magical. We have had as many as 38 people call us in one day, just to find out about our business and ask if we could help them. The biggest thrill is that I can confidently say that I can help anybody who really wants to make money online.

GET IN TOUCH WITH ME.

How are you doing in your business? Are you sick of not having enough money? I am just a phone call away. I have so much to share with anyone who is serious. Leave me a comment send me an email or give me call 323 464 2017. Are you doing really well in your online business? I would love to meet you and bounce ideas off of you. Let me know what your'e up to.

Depending on who you listen to, there are somewhere between 120 million and 150 million entrepreneurs working from home. Again, depending on where you get your statistics from, a staggering 94-96% of those home-based business owners will not succeed with their enterprise. These figures are troubling for those of us who have achieved success in this amazing industry. Is there a hidden success formula that only a select few stumble upon?

For some time now, we have been wondering, "Why is it that some home business owners experience such fantastic results and others struggle to even get their business off the ground?" We have studied the industry and compiled a short list of major characteristics that determine success.

en·tre·pre·neur [ahn-truh-pruh-nur, -noor] a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.

Fortunately for home-based Internet Entrepreneurs, we can minimize the risk as long as we maximize the initiative. We do want to preface this list with the following disclaimer - we have seen all types of individuals, from all walks of life, with all different backgrounds and skill sets succeed in their chosen home business. the 2 most important things that determine your success will be:

  1. Persistent Commitment - this can best be described by the following sports cliché, "Refuse to lose." The most successful people in this business are not always the most talented, they are those who just never give up. This attitude starts with the belief in yourself, your team, and the industry. You can be certain that you will face challenges on the path to success, how you react to them will determine your fate. You must have the dedication and drive to make it work ... no matter what!
  1. Productive Action - the best planning and systems will do you no good without consistent AND productive action. You can have the most compelling websites, state-of-the-art Flash movies, and fantastic emails ... but if nobody sees them you are simply spinning your wheels. It all comes back to the famous question, "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is there, does it make a sound?" Your websites and business will be like that forgotten tree if you don't consistently take action and drive traffic to your site(s).

So once we start with the foundation of Persistent Commitment and Persistent Action, what other attributes will contribute to your success in your home Internet business?  The list below is by no means all inclusive, but it will give you a good start:

  • Optimism – eternal optimism is the fuel that can drive you to dizzying heights, especially when you encounter frequent challenges. Those who view challenges as just another test and focus on the solution typically succeed. If every home business owner threw in the towel when they encountered challenges, we wouldn't have any home business owners. Always see the glass as half full, make that full (half with water, half with air) and you have given yourself a great chance to reach the top.
  • Consistency – the top people in any field always practice their craft. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Pele did not rise to the top of their respective sports by practicing when they felt like it. Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand did not become megastars by showing up for rehearsals when they were in the mood. They decided what they wanted and consistently worked at it. The same is true with your home business.
  • Creativity – thinking outside the box. Expanding one's mind beyond conventional thinking. There are hundreds of way to build a home business, and who's to say which is the best. The key thing is to always be 'pushing the envelope', learning new techniques, and stimulating your brain. What the mind and conceive and believe, it can achieve.
  • Stability – your team is looking to you for guidance. Stabile, consistent leaders can count on a stabile, consistent team. Make decisions based on thorough research, chart a course (plan of action) and then stick with it. Be stabile enough to handle difficult situations during tough times.
  • Charisma – defined as a personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people. All good entrepreneurs/leaders possess a certain magic sparkle in their eye and are able to paint pictures of the future. You can't motivate others (they must do it themselves), but you can certainly inspire them.
  • Risk-Taking – a true leader (make no mistake, this business is about leading others) is not afraid of taking chances when opportunity presents itself. Successful entrepreneurs understand that often "You have to go out on a limb to find the best fruit." This doesn't mean jumping into things before you complete your due diligence (like all those 'Get in now before it's too late' emails). Intelligent risk taking also includes thorough research and careful planning.
  • Energy – couch potatoes rarely become proficient at anything other than the remote control. Successful home business owners are willing to do whatever it takes to reach to the finish line. They understand that balancing their life is also important, so they must have the energy to drive their business and also spend quality time with family and friends. Working overtime is not uncommon on your way to the top.

The wonderful thing about a home Internet business is it provides a level playing field. Anybody can succeed, as long as they are willing to grow, learn, and do what's necessary. When push comes to shove, most people simply aren't willing to do what it takes. Are you? If so ... Think BIG. Act BIG. Make your business dreams come true.

To your success,
Micah Theard

I am just loving the summer right now I feel so good and free in this weather. Taking it all in. My mom is visting from Sweden so I am hanging with mom. It's a good time you know, I don't see her much.
