This was a function I put together showcasing my peers. We all have something to offer and it's beautiful to see how the pieces all come together. I enjoyed every minute of it because this was a form of healing for me personally.

After thought

"I look at the Past, and see the Future of things that have already been and yet to come."

A phrase revisited as I reflect on this year. I have lost to gain SO MUCH in a decade and looking back at it all, I wouldn't change a thing.
Thank you all that have dared to truly love me as I am..flawed and all. Thank you for teaching me how to love myself and for being a part of The Dream Chaser's journey. I am proud to have been a part of this elevated city of Atlantis.

Things that I've learned:

-If you got problems, work on finding the solutions.
-Water quenches my thirst, even though blood might be thicker.
-Live and Let Live...Let Go ..and Be Present in the moment.

And here's my all time favorite lesson that I've learned here:

If Opportunity doesn't knock,
Create a door...and if the door don't open,
you better KICK that b%$ch down!

May you be wholesome in all your endeavours and shine bright like the Sun.

Life has a funny way of working itself out. I'm at home a little sore from my injuries trying my hardest not to be bitter. So...I think happy thoughts. Happy thoughts remind me to be grateful. I'm grateful that despite all the negativity that permeates in the air we breathe everyday, LOVE always manages to shine thru. That's when the adrenaline stops flowing, my muscles relax, and my Spirit is calm. And when my Spirit is calm, my mind's eye starts to wander off painting beautiful images of all the things that have brought JOY to my life...kind of like a motion picture.

Yes, happy thoughts.
I like my happy thoughts.
They never fail to put a big ass smile on my face.

IN THE NOW!!!

I'm currently in an SUV with 2 other fellow artists heading 2 Gainsville, Florida for the Juneteenth Festival this weekend.

Right now, I'm happy. I'm in good company and I'm excited to see how this weekend turns out. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post up soon. Jonathan Blanchard is driving, Ozara Ode is riding shot gun taking a nap, and I am blogging about my feelings before I finish reading a book that my cousin gave me to read as an assignment.

My feelings? Well, this ride to Gainsville is giving me time to process them. I'm excited, nervous, happy, feeling the love, a little somber, and smiling on the inside.

1.Some old friends become new again

2.I'm aligning myself to what my heart truly desires

3.and this month has shown nothing but love for me.

I suppose because internally, I'm showing nothing but love for me. Which brings me to the conclusion that my reality manifests off of what I've impressed upon my subconcious mind. Interesting.

2 days ago, I got to go fishing and I had a BLAST! The setting was very beautiful and serene and I actually caught one fish, 3 got away..and then learned how to clean it...ewe....and fry it...hmmm.

Would I do it again? Most definitely. These are the little things that keeps me smiling.

I'm most greatful to recognize how truly blessed I am IN THE NOW.

Cherries

At this particular moment, I'm home sick eating a bowl of cherries with stems....

yummy.

I didn't even pick them out but having them takes me back to some fond memories.

Memories consisting of lots of laughter, a big bright full moon, a sky filled with stars that I could actually see, my first experience making homemade ice cream, pumping water from a real well, and some good old southern comfort..
Simple pleasures I delighted in.

Ahhh...them were the days.
