Well as the recording process enters it's final stages we can announce that the title of the next Dead Identities album will be BAD CATS & HEART ATTACKS.

The album artwork has been completed and has been designed by the one and only Vince Ray and we can safely say it looks AMAZING!!!

The band have recorded 13 new songs for inclusion on the new album including a re recorded version of the last single 'What's Your Point Of View?'

Recording going well so far and is already sounding bigger than the first album so we can't wait to get it finished and onto your stereo's.

Album Track listing is as follows:

1. One Hell Of A Shock
2. I'm What You're Looking For
3. What's Your Point Of View?
4. Invisible
5. Best Days Of Your Life
6. Lost Property Song
7. The Belated Underrated
8. On my Own Again
9. You Bring Out The Worst In Me
10. So Far Off The Ground
11. This Heart Attack
12. Who Is The Enemy?
13. Mistaken Identity

The wonderful Lee Wray from Zen Motel whose poor head it's fallen upon to produce and engineer this new album is doing an awesome job so far at mixing the tracks so big up's to him.

We will keep you posted on further developments and we will be putting up a BRAND NEW track from the album very soon as a teaser so stay tuned.....

Much Love

So another month over and nearly time for Christmas which brings us nicely to our Christmas present to you which is a brand new Dead Identities single called 'What's Your Point Of View?'.  Recorded over the last couple of days with our good friend Neak Menter.  The single also features a b-side of a rather stonkin' version of the Little Richard classic 'Long Tall Sally' which we recorded back in January.  Both tracks are being mixed as we speak so we'll let you know once they're available. Hope you'll like it.
Come join the group http://groups.myspace.com/deadidentitiesrock for fun questions, anwers etc.  Go on you know you wanna.
Also it's that time of year for the now prestigious 'Pure Rawk Awards' where decent bands get a chance to get the recognition they deserve.  So if you're feeling generous then vote for us via the link below :).

Well it's been a while since our last news blog so here goes:
Music For The Waiting Room has now been officially released in Holland through Yesterday's Gone Records although our other worldwide friends can now buy the album through Interpunk.com by following this link http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=68969&.
We've been playing plenty of excellent shows recently and a huge thank you to everyone who's been coming down to see us, your support is as always overwhelmingly appreciated.
If anyone happens to fancy an awesome night out in the South London area soon then the 20th of October at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston Upon Thames is the place to be.  We're putting on our own show with our awesome buddies Wonk Unit, Love & a 45, & F451.  Should be a totally awesome night.
Finally, work on the next D.I album is at a great stage right now with 15 brand new songs written.  Some of you fortunate ones may have already heard some of the new tunes at our recent live shows including What's Your Point Of View?, So Far Off The Ground, On My Own Again and Invisible.  Other tracks which will be on the next album include One Hell Of A Shock, Lost Property Song, and You Bring Out The Worst In Me.  One thing's for sure and that is that the next album is sounding pretty different to the last and we hope you guys will dig it as much as we are at the moment.  Never before have I been enjoying rehearsing new material and hearing all the songs come together and I can't wait to hear them all as a collecive.
I think that just about rounds it up for this month, we have a couple of awesome shows booked for next month and we'd like to thank you all again for your continued support.  Don't forget Dead Identities love ya :)
Until the next time...
Much love

Yes we've just been sent our first fan made video.  Frosty and his mates from Stevenage have made their very own video for Wednesday Night.  To call this Bizarre would be like calling David Blaine slightly odd.  What do you think?
Click on the link below.

Thanks Steve and the gang.

P.S.  We want more fan made videos, and if you send them to us we'll post them up on here.

MUSIC FOR THE WAITING ROOM BY DEAD IDENTITIES 2006

NOT MY COUNTRY

No one should give the right to fight
Do you forgive cowards and liars?
I see no other reason to trust what I believe in
Never thought I'd ever make it through

Don't need no revolution, it's all just an illusion
Don't talk about tradition, it's engulfed by a fool's aggression
I think it's so frustrating, feels like I'm suffocating
You make it look so easy; fuck this it's not my country

Feels like we're in open season
Let's go back to the days of treason
Ever felt like you've been cheated by the fake and the conceited?
Never thought I'd ever feel this way

What is our policy? To wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed by the dark lamentable catalogue of human crime.

We shall not flag or fail, we shall go on to the end
Let's protect our children from this hell

LONG WAY OUT

You're the victim, I'm affected, can't you let go?
I can't argue with the new you, you're such a weirdo
Don't you lie to me again, I know exactly where you've been

Didn't think you'd take the long way out (all alone)
Should've known you'd take the long way out (on your own)
Didn't think you'd take the long way
Didn't think it'd take you all day
Should've known you'd take the long way out

You're demented, I'm offended, violated
When you fall down I won't feel down because I waited
Is it true that you feel low with someone that you hardly know?

Didn't think you'd take the long way out

GOT IT GOOD

I think it's easy to complain that the kids today all look the same
They got it bad we had it good
It's all pollution to my ears 'cause your music's boring me to tears
We got it bad you got it good

Get off my, get off my, get off my stereo
'Cause now's the time to go

Manufactured crap is all the rage, bearing your false smiles whilst drunk onstage
We got it bad you got it good
One single later no one cares, no more hope of being millionaires
You got it bad we got it good

I think you got it bad, I think we've got it good
I never really got the fact that you misunderstood
I'm feeling good today, I like you anyway
It doesn't mean to say I'm never going to be like anybody else

WHO'S LOUISE?

Went to see a band last night, got back home way past midnight
Don't remember much about it I was on the triple J.D's
Now I got an email from a girl who knows me
But I don't know what she looks like someone tell me please

Who's Louise? Her numbers written on my arm
Who's Louise? Don't ask me where she's coming from
Who's Louise? Was she the one with pigtails in?
Who's Louise? I don't remember anything

She said I stayed at hers last night, whether I did I really don't know
I don't know whether to believe her, she could be a fucking psycho
She said I got the night bus home I don't remember how
She said that I'm good in bed can someone tell me now

I don't want to find out that she looks like a monkey after plastic surgery
I want you to tell me that she's drop dead gorgeous, someone please tell me

Who's Louise? Was she the girl with the big chin?
Who's Louise? Was she the one ugly as sin?
Who's Louise? Was she the girl who was eight foot tall?
Who's Louise? I don't remember her at all

GOING DOWN

Get out of bed I'm not the kind to drag you down
Get out of bed I'm not the kind to drag you down
You're future's just been told and everybody doesn't want to know
Alright, so tell me now
It's such a stupid waste of time 'cause I don't know what's on your mind
And I don't care

Because I know I'm not going down
No I'm not going down

It's sympathy you want from me well think again
It's sympathy you want from me well think again
It's understandable cause I don't see the point of all this hate
It's not a part of me
And you can run but you can't hide forever 'cause he's on our side
And you will see

And so the story shall remain a legend too
Just like all the good times and the things we used to do

I'm feeling better
It's such a stupid waste of time
I guess I'll see you later

S.C.A.R.E.D.

My body aches so what is wrong with me?
I'm throwing up and I can hardly see
Well I'm blowing chunks out of my nose which is what I had for tea
And I'm S.C.A.R.E.D.

Don't be afraid can everybody stay
'Cause I just want to sit here on my arse
I don't want to go and play another show
'cause I just want to stay and sing my song with her

My head is spinning and I'm lying on the floor
Back on the wagon I can't take it anymore
Well I guess it actually serves me right it happens everyday
So get the fuck out of my way

It's not a pretty place to be
So tell me what is wrong with me
It's such a distant memory
WAIT ANOTHER DAY

1-2-1-2-3 Let's go!

I'm having fun again; I think it's been a while
You want to put me down well I don't think so
And I'm enjoying it; I see you don't like it
Well that's the fun of it, it really bugs you

You try to beat me up and make me something that I'm not
I'm never gonna give in and I'm never gonna stop
I'm not the kind of guy to be left sitting on a fence
So get it right or you might lose it all like I did last time

While you were gone we were here
Exactly like you were last year
Laughing at the ones that got away
And we're not going to waste our time like you
Lonely and nothing to do
And we're not going to sit and wait another day

Well it's unanimous, you're going underground
Well isn't that a shame I'm going to miss you
Did you see that coming? I didn't think you did
Now what you going to do now you've got nothing?

13 DAYS

I just can't seem to forget it everything feels so pathetic
All alone and going round in circles
It's ok for you and him so 13 days don't mean a thing
I'm sitting crying in a pool of memories

I can't seem to let it show but I think that you should know
I don't want to let you go

I just can't get over you no matter what I do
It doesn't matter what I'm going through
I still think about you

So you quietly slipped away whilst all my troubles still remain
To this day I still can't look in the mirror
When you come back home again I'd still like to be your friend
So stop this cryptic underworld behaviour

No matter what I do I still think about you
If you don't want me to then I'll try to walk away

KEEP IT UP GIRL

Keep it to yourself girl I'm not listening

I'm getting pretty sick of how you're treating me
You tell me what to do and send me off to sleep
I'm nearly at the stage I think I'm going soft
Because every time I'm home I get my head bitten off

So keep it to yourself girl I'm not listening

I'm fed up of you yelling at me all the time
Telling me who my friends are, there I draw the line
Moaning at me when I ever use your stuff
Well you can keep it keep it keep it keep it I've had enough

I've been walking round today
Thinking what we used to say
How we used to spend our days
Laughing, talking, drinking, walking

I'm not listening to you
On the crazy things I do
You just haven't got a clue
So take me home

Keep it up girl keep it up

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Wednesday night and nothing's on
Want to go out and have some fun
But all my mates are out with their girlfriends
So I leave the house alone
Walk about a mile down the road
Then I see him lying, eyes wide, staring

Something tells me that it's gonna be one those days

Because everybody's turning up and they're looking at me
Even though I'm innocent they've already found me guilty
I'm not to blame, not today and I just want to say
That I've done nothing wrong

No defence, no alibi
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
Police turn up I'm in real big trouble
No blood on my hands
No one understands
Wish I'd stayed at home, can someone help me

SALLY GREW UP

Sally grew up on the other side of town
So we never understood what she was on about

Sally was a girl, had a bike, had a kite
Had a mum, had a dad, met a nice young lad, oh yeah
Then Sally was a woman, had a boy, had a girl
Had a man, had a tan, had a five piece band, oh yeah oh yeah

Sally was a first, had it all, had a ball
Fell in love, had enough, had a simple life, oh yeah
Then Sally got in trouble with her guy who lied
Set her up big time then lost her pride, oh yeah oh yeah

Sometimes I need to see you
Sometimes I think I need to
Sometimes I think I like you
Sometimes I want to hate you
Alright I want to see you
If you really need to
I want know you're alright

She really had me going she really got me
You like it

Sally had the world in the palm of her hands
Went away for a while, forgot how to smile Oh yeah
Then Sally came back no job, no car,
No man, no tan, no five piece band Oh yeah oh yeah

Sally Grew Up

HANGIN' AROUND

When you are you I can't be me
Why can't you leave me by myself?
Stop inflicting pain on me and my friends
And go find someone else

I don't want you near me hanging around
Don't you realise it's getting me down
Now it seems I've found out that I betrayed you
And I can't work out quite how to tell you

Hey – I'm not who you think I am
Hey – I'm not who you think I was
Hey – I'm not really sure
So why don't you stay

If I should change and still remain the things you hate
I won't care
I've always hated you and you know it
Fuck you stop crying

Don't do this to me you're driving me crazy
I feel compelled to sit here and get wasted
Wonder kid you did what you thought you had to
I'm happy that you think I always ignore you

So why the hell are you still hanging around?
Don't you understand you're getting me down?
Wonder kid you did what you thought you had to
I'll never get used to living without you

THE LUCKY ONE

Get away because I don't really like you
You're just a bully with his mind on other things
Go away before I start to lose my mind again
And they're falling at you left right and centre
I don't know why you think that you're better than me
After all I'm not the one who's going slowly mad

And I don't know what it is about you
That makes you so attractive
And I don't know what that something is about you
That makes you so irresistible
1-2-3-4 Girls in love with you
1-2-3-4 On your mind
1-2-3-4 Aren't you the lucky one

By the way I want to tell you the problem
You don't know what to do now that you've got them
You've gone and dug yourself a lonely early grave
So you've treated them like dirt and they hate you
And their mothers and their fathers want to kill you
Don't look at me I'm just an average kind of guy I guess

Something tells me you're not going to make it
I can't think why
Is it 'cause you're gonna get your head kicked in?
I think you might
Sorry I can't help but I'm too busy
Seeing my one girl
It's not my fault you're not the biggest monogamist
In the whole world

1-2-3-4 You're the lucky one

BORN IN THE UK

I've been knocked down but I got up again
And I've been around, out on my ear again
And I've been homeless, no job, no girl, no money
And I still find that my life's been kind of funny

I've still got my cherry flavoured optimism
My own recluse, my favourite kind of open prison
And I can't lose, as long as I've got the music with me
And that's all thanks to you

I've been low with nowhere to go
But I know I'll be ok
Because I'm far too tough to be too fucked up
I was born in the UK

And after all the shit that I've been through
There's only one person I can call a real friend
And that's myself, because I'm the one that's always been there
Everyone else just never seemed to fucking care

Here we go, I'll just hold my up high and
I don't know if I'm going to live or die so
What's the point of all the suffering and lying?
If I don't win I'll make damn sure that I die trying
