Sharp acids corrode their own containers. Do not hurt your neighbor, for it is not him you wrong but yourself. Act honestly, and answer boldly. Every industrious man, in every lawful calling, is a useful man. And one principal reason why men are so often useless is that they neglect their own profession or calling, and divide and shift their attention among a multiplicity of objects and pursuits. Courage is a quality so necessary for maintaining virtue that it is always respected even when it is associated with vice. Alienation without must be accompanied by alienation within; that is the law for every social level, even individuals. To harm one's fellows, even one's enemies, harms you, takes away some essential element from your self-respect and self-image. Have a vision not clouded by fear. Before you contradict an old man, my fair friend, you should endeavor to understand him. The most important human endeavor is striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance and even our very existence depend on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to life. The butterfly becomes only when it's entirely ready. They cannot take away our self-respect if we do not give it to them.

In each of our lives, for whatever reason, there are times that we are faced with things that just don't make sense to us. And the more we struggle to understand our hardships, the less any of it makes sense. I have found that in every challenge and obstacle that we are faced with there *can* be good that can come from it! While it's almost never easy to identify, I assure you that it is there lying dormant just waiting for us to release it! I urge everyone to spend your days looking for positives in your life.

     The greatest challenge to any thinker is stating the problem in a way that will allow a solution. Accept the challenges so that you may feel the exhilaration of victory. Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging. It is time for us all to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever - the one who recognizes the challenge and does something about it. These are times in which a genius would wish to live. It is not in the still calm of life, or in the repose of a pacific station, that great challenges are formed. . . . Great necessities call out great virtues.

     To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intellingent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded.

As I look back on all that's happened..growing up, growing together, changing you, changing me -- there were times when we dreamed together, when we laughed and cried together. As I look back on those days, I realize how much I truly miss you and how much I truly love you. The past may be gone forever..and whatever the future holds, our todays make the memories of tomorrow. So, my lifetime friend, it is with all my heart that I send you my love, hoping that you'll always carry my smile with you, for all we have meant to each other and for whatever the future may hold.

Spread love everywhere you go: First of all in your own house... let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness.Every person has the power to make others happy.Some do it simply by entering a room --others by leaving the room.Some individuals leave trails of gloom; others, trails of joy. Some leave trails of hate and bitterness;
others, trails of love and harmony. Some leave trails of cynicism and pessimism;
others trails of faith and optimism. Some leave trails of criticism and resignation;
others trails of gratitude and hope.What kind of trails do you leave? Traveling is not just seeing the new; it is also leaving behind. Not just opening doors; also closing them behind you, never to return. But the place you have left forever is always there for you to see whenever you shut your eyes.

       He who trims himself to suit everyone will soon whittle himself away. God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.The great majority of us are required to live a life of constant duplicity. Your health is bound to be affected if, day after day, you say the opposite of what you feel, if you grovel before what you dislike, and rejoice at what brings you nothing but misfortune. It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. I think of life itself now as a wonderful play that I've written for myself, and so my purpose is to have the utmost fun playing my part.

       Never be bullied into silence.  Never allow yourself to be made a victim.  Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself. Never apologize for showing feeling. When you do so, you apologize for the truth. There is just one life for each of us:  our own. If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise. Wherever you go, go with all your heart. Every time you don't follow your inner guidance, you feel a loss of energy, loss of power, a sense of spiritual deadness. Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you?
