Society 1 Stream New Track, Looking For Label to Release “The Kiss Of Shame”

Photobucket

Society 1 is nearing completion of their 4th full length studio album entitled “The Kiss of Shame” and is looking for label’s interested in releasing their latest effort.  This is the first studio record of completely new material since their 2005 release “The Sound That Ends Creation” which was distributed by Earache Records. Since that time the band released a compilation of B-sides on Crash Music and a live record through MDI Distribution.

“We are at that point that enough of the record is done that we can show people how things are sounding and what direction the band is going. So we figured it was time to put some of the new tracks out there and see if anyone was interested. Depending on what feedback we receive from labels will determine how the record is released.” Says Zane

The bands MySpace (MySpace.com/Society1music) features the new track “Never Be One” and interested labels can request additional material.

In other related news vocalist for Society 1 Matt Zane just released his first book Transcendental Satanism: Doctrines of the Infernal Process. Within the book Zane promises to change current perceptions of life, death and beyond through something he refers to as “The Infernal Initiation”.

Matt Zane of Society 1 Releases the Book “Doctrines of the Infernal Process”

.. ..

Many would assume that if Matt Zane would ever write a book it would be a recollection of his many tales of debauchery from his adult video directing experiences. So it may come as a surprise that Zane’s first book is actually something that is more along the lines of a religious dissertation. In Doctrines of the Infernal Process Zane discusses his passion for Satanism and offers his take on the taboo subject brought to the American mainstream by Anton LaVey in the mid-sixties.

.. ..

“Writing about porn would have been the easy way to go. I have never been about that. Besides codifying my personal beliefs within a book is something I always wanted to do since I was very young. I just needed time to figure out my own understanding of the universe from the satanic perspective.” Says Zane

.. ..

Within the book Zane touches on many subjects including the belief in the existence of the devil and how humankind interact and relate with such an entity. In addition to addressing esoteric topics the book also proposes very practical techniques to live in accordance with what Zane describes as “the satanic aspect and suggested fate.”

.. ..

“It begins with a simple honest story and by the end completely redefines life, death and beyond.”

Alright this is going to be it until late September...seriously. So make sure to come down and see this show. Here is a quick run down of what's happening with everyone the next few months.

Our drummer Alpheus Underhill IV is performing with http://www.cirqueberzerk.com/ You have to see this show. I was invited to the dress rehearsal and it was amazing. After that he is out of town for various adventures until Sept.

Erik "Fuck You" Franklin will be playing shows with his other band Ozzy Train. It's a Ozzy tribute band and I have to tell you Erik is absolutely insane in this project. If you're a fan of guitar shredding and Ozzy you have to check it out. I just saw a show last week and it was extremely entertaining. http://www.myspace.com/ozzytrainband

Dirt will be tattooing at Ink Candy in LA for the summer. Make sure to check his work out at www.MySpace.com/Dirtytattoos Plus he will developing a new line of designs for his very sucessfull clothing company www.NiHilclothing.com

I will be trying to finish and release my book Transcendental Satanism: Doctrines Of The Infernal Process. Dirt and I will also be opening The Order Of Transcendental Satanism (OTS) and getting the sites and membership up and running.

As a band we are finally going back into NRG Studios to complete two songs with Wade Norton. We are going to see if the songs can generate some interest before deciding what to do with the rest of the recorded material. Yes we will be video recording the sessions and posting on Youtube.com/ZaneEntertainment

While others play....

Onto the future. Some of you may have heard and it is true we are currently in the preliminary stages of developing a show with C.O.R.E. in October. What will this involve you ask?

It's like a modern day Alice Cooper Welcome To My Nightmare except with body suspensions, piercings, spears and other various forms of body modification.

Society 1 will play a 45 minute set while I suspended above the band. A full theatrical presentation filled with props, costumes and make-up is based around the music. It will be a very dark demonic theme. Each one of the performers will also be involved with suspension and extreme displays of body modification.

In addition accompanying musicians with various instruments ranging from violins to electronic gadgets will be playing with Society 1 to create a futuristic orchestra of sound.

Dekonstrukt - Key Club,Los Angeles 2004

That's it for now. In case you don't hear from me until Sept. you know what's up. Have a great summer!

Matt Zane Inspires New Papa Roach Single & Video

Papa Roach will follow up its chart-topping single "Lifeline" with another song from its recent "Metamorphosis" album called "I Almost Told You That I Loved You". The group just finished shooting a music video for the track and singer Jacoby Shaddix told The Pulse of Radio the story behind the song. "That song was born from a conversation that me and this fella Matt Zane
— he's a musician but he also directs pornography films — and he was
telling me about this girl. He was trying out the talent before he put
her on camera, and he was like, 'Oh, Jacoby, man, the pussy was so good I almost told her that I loved her.' Me and Jay Baumgardner, the producer, looked at each other and we were like, 'Now that's a song title right there!'"

"I am flattered. Jacoby is awesome and amazing guy for giving me credit." said Zane

"I remember going into the studio a week after I told him that story andeveryone was running up to me all excited saying I inspired their next single. Jacoby showed up later in the day and played me the song in his car. He really captured everything we talked about, the whole vibe of the story and when the song hit the chorus I couldn't believe he actually used the line I said to him about almost telling her I I loved
her."

The video for the single also pays homage to Zane by including a suspension performance.

"Thatwas a surprise even to me. I didn't think they were going to do that. I am blown away. To think when I started singing and suspending in 2002 it would eventually bleed into pop culture in this way is unbelievable. I love the video and the song. I give Papa Roach a lot of respect."

View Jacoby from Papa Roach talking about Zane's influence in the video below.
