We are excited to announce that Sean Ponder, guitarist for Reeble Jar, has joined SuperTrout for a string of shows this summer. He played with the band at Cougar Mountain last week and tore the solar roof off the place! We love Sean and believe he is a fine addition to the already stellar lineup. The band is gearing up for some road shows and the "ELVIS" as it's affectionately known (the band travels in Elvis Presley's old touring bus) is getting prepared to hit the highway later this month going to Astoria to play with some old friends and musical legends at the Concert For Big Red. SO GET READY TO ROCK OUT, WELCOME SEAN!

SWEET SWEET SWEET !!! Well to say it was a pleasant surprise would be the understatement of the year. SuperTrout had the pleasure of playing a set of music at Ken Babbs annual 4th of July Celebration in Pleasant Hill Oregon. When our keyboard player couldn't make the gig, we took it on 3 piece and we were getting on pretty well...then during our 3rd tune, a keyboard rig was setup on stage and to our amazement, the legendary Mr. Hornsby joined our band for the rest of the set, playing over 45 minutes of SuperTrout tunes and some excellent jams including a ripping "Other One". yes sir, Bruce made a fine addition to the group. We'll have to sit in on his set next time :)

Hey all our myspace friends out there! We are pleased to give you a taste of some live Trout fresh off the Solstice grill on our page.
Promontory Rider featuring the multi-talented Paul Bionde on saxophone, tasty trout for sure and our own garage-grit-anthem Down The River-People Are Strange. This will give you all a glimpse of what is so Super about our Trout.
It starts with lots of collective effort and planning by many people including Guido on the sophisticated lighting rig that is truly the best in the state, consisting of a whole hog control desk, 8 power spot 575's, 12 various state of the art LED color changing fixtures and the all important haze generators.
Then of course there is the all important work of sound god Todd Waddell with his JBL/Crown/EV sound reinforcement system.
The combination of light, word, sound, power all together is phenomenal to say the least. The backdrops are lit with color changers from the top and bottom that give a great depth to the production. Starting with the hand made back drops the cloth is simply gathered into pleats that give it depth with heavy shadowing that morph with color before your eyes, very effective for producing a classy very psychedelic effect.
Our sound quality starts with all tube classic amps, Swani's guitar rig consists of three amps what he calls the "Super-Marshall-Twin" a 1964 Fender Super Reverb, Marshall JCM2000 half stack, and 65 Fender TwinReverb. The signal originates from a Roland/Fender synth stratocaster routed through a roland GR-33 synth that feds and assortment of True bypass effects including Bradshaw distortion/clean boost, Micro Q-Tron, Keely compressor, line 6 MM-4 modulation and DD=4 delay unit all powered by the high quality Voodoo Labs power supply unit that in turn is routed into a Voodoo labs Amp selector switching system.
SuperTrout goes the distance to develop top quality sound to you the listener.
Joey's Bass rig starts with a series 1 Alembic Bass and the behemoth all tube Ampeg SVT with 8 ten cabinet.
All of it is mixed into our talented sound engineer Todd Waddell's system. Todd's experience is so key to the sound coming smooth off the stage into the audience with seamless integration that creates a huge butter sweet sound that fills your listening pleasure with even balanced attack.
SuperTrout is dedicated to creating a environment and ritual experience that transcends everyday life and gives special meaning to the gathering of like minded people in a way that adds to the quality of our human existence.
We personally want to thank you our fans for being part of our collective experiment and that we promise to give you the best effort we can to make our events special moments that add to the quality of our lives together, because we really are all one!
Thanks for your support!
Team Trout

Current mood: refreshed
We would like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate the 2007 Winter Solstice with SUPERTROUT friends and family. It was the party of the year and we had a BLAST!! We have an exceptional crew who put together a sound and light stage that was unique and totally BEAUTIFUL! Hopefully we'll have some photos as well as video clips posted soon.
The band started just after midnight with a set that combined original music with a few classic tunes under a light show like no other. Artists Paul Biondi on saxophones and Rich Sellars on drums were featured in the first set which lasted over an hour and forty-five minutes.
After a short break, the stage was set for the second half of the evening featuring Tim Donahue on drums as well as James and Sean from Reeble Jar, who joined the band tearing up the stage into the wee hours. To say this was a good time would be a huge under statement. This was THE party of the year and it will be hard to top tho we plan to try just that!
Thanks to all who made this event happen. SUPERTROUT would like to wish all a healthy, loving and prosperous new year!
