Hi friends and how are you?

As you might have heard or not,
we have bought Rosie Malones,opposite Browns,
and turned it into an Irish themed pub,
as an official pre club bar for The Kasbah.

We have been overwhelmed with the amount of requests
from local bands n performers alike,that we have decided
we need more slots available for all our local people to play n fit in..!

As our sister venue,we are starting
NEW LIVE MUSIC NITES for all the
Coventry local bands to play,
with view,the ones who impress us
to move on n get gigs with us @ THe Kasbah.

We will be running two live music nites:

Every Wednesday: ROSIE DOES INDIE
..for more indie outfits

Every Thursday: ROSIE ROCKS
...for more heavy rock bands and sounds!!

As the world acclaimed success of the Enemy has hit us hard,
we do strongly believe that more local bands
could break into the regional n national scene.

Sequins are getting closer to achieve their goals within the music industry.
Having said that, we would like to give the chance to more
local people n their sound to be heard.

Hey everyone and Happy New Year, hope you had a good festive period as we did.

As Kasbah is getting ready for another exciting year with some of the biggest names in the live music scene set to play the venue (eg. Prodigy ), we would like to ask you for your feedback so we can give you more of what you want.

Merry Christmas Friends!

 

As the festive season is nearly upon us , we have done the usual and organized some special clubnights, on top of the regular favourites (Poptastic, Kinky, Groovy Garden) , so you can party all the way to the new year!

 

The First of which is The Great Green Onions Reunion  and the Official Enemy after-show party, straight after the Enemy Charity gig. Re-Live the night which was the biggest britpop night in the country and possible the world! For 5 glorious years it was the busiest place in the Midlands to listen to the likes of : Blur. Oasis, Nirvana, Pulp, Stone Roses, Supergrass, Kula Shaker, Ash, Radiohead, Prodigy etc. The admission for this one will be £5.

Christmas Eve falls on a Wednesday this year so we thought to give you a 90's Night with 90p Drinks All Night, dedicated to all the things you loved ( and hated ) about the 90's! The doors will open at 9:30pm and the admission will be £5.

After you have stuffed yourselves silly on Christmas Day, the next big party will be Boxing Day and Kasbah gets Kinky with 50p drinks and loads of suprises. We are giving you 3 Rooms, 2 Floors and 1 Beer Garden with a mix of Funky, Charty, Party , Pop and Alternative Disco. Doors Open 9:30pm and the admission will be £6.

As for the New Year's Eve , it will be FREE ENTRY IN FANCY DRESS !!! Oh yes, this is gonna be the best NYE ever !!! 12 Years of the Colly's Biggest foot stomping, crowd pleasing, hands in the air moments!,  Fire Eaters, Stilt Walkers, Face Painters, Crazy Lazers, Inflatables.
Listen to Colly tunes at Colly prices and with that unique Colly atmosphere.
Doors will Open at 9pm and it will be £6 admission without Fancy Dress. There will be no advance tickest so arrive early to avoid disappointment.

As you already know, The Enemy are doing a charity gig at the Kasbah and there are a few tickets available from the Kasbah & The Hannigans Menswear. Keep an eye on our listings , more gigs/events will be announced soon.

Watch out when coming to the club  for the Kasbah Merchandise, we did a CD compilation of up n coming local acts (featuring Pint Shot Riot, Mommas In The Kitchen, Malc Evans, Bootleg Poets, The Strikes! and many more), a Calendar with photos from our main gigs the year just gone and Hoodies / T-Shirts !

A new D n B nite starts @ Kasbah on Thursday 5th of june
n every first thursday of the month thereafter.....

LIBERATE will be a nite for the true bass heads,
jam packed full of musicality, subtly pounding rhythm and heart-warming
bass notes n we are sure to set our main room dancefloor alight...!!!!

Knocking out quality Drum & Bass will be our objective..
Thus our resident dj"s will be in for creating cinematic
soundscapes as well as moving a dance floor....

From Monday 12th May and every clubnight thereafter,the beer garden will be open from the earlier time of 9pm.

It will be FREE admission till the clubnight starts at the usual time of 10pm. Until 10pm you can enjoy a barbecue and even listen to some acoustic sessions in Coventrys most talked about beer garden.

At 10pm the clubnight begins and normal admission prices will apply.The early birds have the benefit of having gained free admission,enjoyed our sumptuous barbecue and hopefully a suntan before the clubnight even begins!


The beer garden has been proved a huge hit with all of our regulars n with people attending the  live music gigs..


The barbeque is full on every nite and with more
surprises to come,we feel that,we have created
something special,for you,at Kasbah..

Hi friends....

Recently,we have been overwhelmed with the amount of requests
from local bands n performers alike,that we have decided
we need more slots available for all our local people to play n fit in...!

As a result we are starting new live music nites..!!
First on every friday in the side room as part of our student nite Kinky
and second,as part of Groovy Garden,on sat nites
new acoustic slots,in the globe bar...!

A few of the requirements are : good music n sound,tons of passion n enthusiasm,cover material for the acoustic sets n a good following...!

Hey MySpace Friends, greetings to all of you out there.
There is a lot of great entairtenment coming our way and we feel that you need to know everything about it.
Monday nights, the legendary Poptastic,  are busier than ever before, more fun n frolics and with a greater variety than Tesco's shelves !!! The left wing keeps hosting the best up n coming local n national bands with a great indie disco afterwards. The Globe bar is more ambient n chill out loungecore dance and we hope you will like the addition of our new dj. The Beer Garden keeps absorbing a really big crowd thus showing us how much you all lot love this place. Main room is pumping as always to the tunes of the newest and freshest music genes.
Friday nights are Kinky and more party people join in every week. The music is a mix of Kinky, Sexy, Dirty dancing n everyones mentions the atmosphere and the drink prices as is the cheapest Friday night around, without though the hassle n trouble you find in other venues. If you haven't been , come , relax n enjoy and let the music blow your mind.
Groovy Garden runs for the 9th consecutive year, needless to say it must be one of the most long running n succesful indie - alternative nights in the UK. The older Green Onions crowd - you know who you are - are coming back, enjoying the new surrounding and the addition of the 90's disco which follows the side room live shows.

After the merriment and joy over the festive season, carry on the partying with even more riotous fun rolling into 2008!

There are some great live shows and guests are on their way with some bigger main room events to behold. On both the Mondays and Saturdays in the Left Wing there's no let up in the flow of great Coventry bands and they'll show our out of town guests a thing or two about the power of rocking out.
