In English, my teacher asked us to fill in the blank.

While everyone else filled in the blank with the sophisticated word "perfect", I filled in my blank with "pizza".

When
you practice, you are building up your skills - just like a pizza. The
longer you make a pizza, the more toppings you'll have on that dough.
The longer you practice, the more skills and tricks you'll have. When
you have finally finished putting the toppings on the pizza, you have
detailed the pizza to your likings. You finally bake the pizza; you are
putting your skills to the test.

You must make sure you have put
enough time and effort into making this pizza, just like you must put
enough time and effort into practicing. For example, you can't make a
cheese pizza and not put the cheese on.

Reaping the benefits of
practicing is like when you eat the pizza. The rewards of your hard
work, or the taste of the pizza, tells you how much you practiced.

From
there, it becomes trial and error. If you don't like the flavor, or if
the pizza is not savory enough, that means you need to keep practicing
until you have mastered the pizza making.

Once you have
practiced making one pizza, it is time to make a different pizza - once
you have mastered what you have been practicing for, it is time to move
on.

Master something, pass it along. Allow others to pass along their skills and ideas, and try it out.

The possibilities are endless.

Most of the financial news regarding the economy has been pretty dismal over the past few months. Plummeting stocks, failing banks, hundreds of billions of dollars being passed around in the hopes of fixing it all. People are understandably worried about the economy, their jobs, their homes and their credit.

Good news though, Internet Marketing is very resistant to the economic woes facing other industries. Let's talk about why.

Advertising

Television and radio are kept alive by the ROI (return of investment) of their sponsors, and the commercial web is no different. The advantage of advertising online is that it's far more efficient. When a sponsor puts an ad on a television show or radio program, they can only be vaguely certain of who is watching or listening. Sure the networks provide their own research in demographics and how large their audience is, but much of it is guesswork and impossible to know for sure.

Also, results from TV and radio are very difficult to track. How do you know if the person who just bought your widget was motivated to do so by seeing or hearing your commercial? Again, it's guesswork.

The internet is different. When you place an ad online, you can track exactly how many people saw it, precisely how many people responded (clicked-through) and exactly how much money you earned from it. You can work to refine and improve your ads to improve your ROI as well. It's vastly superior to TV and radio in that regard.

So when it comes time for companies to tighten their belts, it only makes sense that they will focus on the ad medium that has the best ROI.

What does this mean for you, the Internet Marketer? It means that your advertising-driven web sites that use AdSense or other programs will likely remain relatively healthy during hard times.

Selling Information

Another reason that Internet Marketing does well when other sectors are having problems is that people who lose their jobs in those other sectors often turn to the Internet to try and earn a living. When an industry starts having problems, people who lose their jobs in that industry often have a very hard time finding work in the same industry. If they can't find a job, what can they do? Again, many turn to the Internet — the "new economy."

Unfortunately, there are a lot of sharks out there ready to take advantage of these individuals. But for those of us who are honestly offering real opportunities and solutions, we find even more customers during such hard times.

Leveling the Risk

A third reason why Internet Marketing tends to do well even when things look gloomy everywhere else is because the Internet makes it much easier to level your risk.

So stay focused on your online business, and remember that you're in a better position to weather the storm than most.

We'll keep you posted with methods on making money online soon so stay tuned =)

Water, which is crucial to our survival has qualities that far transcend it's most basic functions. Looking at some of it's characteristics one realizes that is far more than a "thirst quencher".

Water has the ability to adapt itself totally to it's environment. When the temperature gets too high it becomes steam and it changes to ice when things are too cold. It can also change it's shape to conform to that of the container. What is remarkable about water, is that it manages to maintain its identity under the most varied circumstances.

Water is everflowing and always manages to find its level. When something comes in the way it goes around and takes the path of least resistance. On those occasions where an obstacle seems insurmountable it steadily gains strength and force until it finally overcomes. No matter how high a dam is built on a stream... eventually the stream overflows the dam.

There is an unyielding and steady effort that water generates which regards all obstacles, no matter how high or big, as being temporary.

Finally, calm water is like a mirror and gives a picture of all that is around. Conversely troubled waters only reflect the turmoil within. When a person approaches a problem with calm and composure then like the reflection on calm water he sees everything. So also when a problem causes turmoil then like the troubled water on confusion is seen.

Imagine an intellect as calm, a will as relentless and indomitable and a personality as adaptable as water and you will have envisioned a MIND LIKE WATER

What up what up! we'd just like to share with the world with more of our attitude towards not just business, but life in general! That one essential principle is to BE POSITIVE.

Avoid thinking negative thoughts that hold you back. Instead, create a positive action plan, one based on the belief that you can meet your goals! Self doubt, frustration, fears, and anger can only serve as barriers to your goals; so everytime a negative thought comes knockin, dont answer ! Cancel that thought and replace it with a positive one.

An effective way is to say something positive out loud whenever a negative thought comes in. You can't hang onto a thought while you are speaking.

Try this:

Take a moment and count to 10 silently to yourself, and lets assume that's your thought. NOW, before getting to 10, shout out loud I love (whatever hobby or person). Notice that you are no longer focused on counting to 10.

Next time some negative thought intervenes, say something positive out loud =)

Hope that helps some people!

Have a great day,

Allure

If you haven't yet put a finger on the distinct quality that sets your business apart from your competition, then you need to get busy. You only need one quality. Just one.

This unique quality that sets you apart from the herd is your brand. It is the essence - the fabric - that runs through your operation. It speaks to consumers instantly about the nature of your service or product, your reputation, your commitment, your uniqueness.

Once identified, you must be able to clearly communicate your brand to consumers. There are two easily recognizable ways to do this: with your logo and tagline.

A branded business has a memorable logo. A straight-forward example is Ford's blue oval, while a more abstract example is the Nike checkmark. Your logo is the visual component of your brand.

The next component is a written or verbal one. It is referred to as your tagline, and it reflects the exact position you are assuming in relation to your customer, your product, and your competitors. Specifically, it clearly defines the quality which differentiates your business from competitors while extolling the benefit your customer will enjoy.

Coca Cola's statement of being 'The Real Thing' is a classic example of positioning in relation to a competitor. Clearly, if they're the real thing - the original - then the other guy isn't. But does this mean anything to consumers? The benefit to the customer is kind of murky.

For the small business owner it's better to go with a more narrowly defined tagline that clearly denotes uniqueness. The sandwich shop Quizno's exemplifies this with their tagline 'Oven Toasted Tastes Better'.

Five Ways to Promote Your Unique Identity

Your logo and tagline are valuable property. Make them a visible thread that runs through all your promotions. Here are five great ways to get your brand name out there in front of consumers:

1. Give Away Something People Will Expose To Others

Instead of just giving away a freebie that has a one-time use, provide a valuable service or product that will get used or seen by other people. I use this strategy by providing free newsletter templates. At the bottom of the templates you'll find my brand. It's great exposure and a wonderful traffic-generating tool.

Free eBooks, free email, free websites, free pens, free t-shirts, free baseball caps... all these are great examples of things people use and expose to others. Take a good look at your own products and services. What can you give away?

2. Encourage Interactivity

We are social creatures. Everyone likes to be included -to have the opportunity to put in their 2 cents worth. Encourage people to get involved with your business. Invite questions, ask for feedback, run a contest, sponsor teleclasses or chat sessions, or moderate a discussion board. For every person you make a connection with, you have created the opportunity to ignite a word-of-mouth campaign that stretches through everyone they know.

Take a peek at Pepsi.com for a look at brand marketing through interactivity. On their home page they are actively recruiting every carbonated beverage drinker on the planet to "make a difference" and become a Pepsi Advisor.

Strawberry/Kiwi Pepsi. What do you think? Pssst... tell your friends!

3. Brand Your Digital and Print Communications

If you type it, write it, or touch it... brand it. If you're within breathing distance of it - try to brand it. Leave evidence of your unique business identity everywhere you can. Your website, all your outgoing postal mail, and all electronic mail should include your business name or logo, your tagline, email address, website URL, phone number, and mailing address. And a handy supply of business cards is a must any time you leave the office.

4. Give Away Your Knowledge

Writing articles and making them available for reprint is an especially powerful method of spreading your name. Published articles often remain in the public eye for years. I have dozens of articles on numerous sites, all of them tirelessly promoting my business without any effort on my part. One article in particular that was published in Success Digest over 3 years ago still brings in traffic to this day.

5. Make it Easy For Others To Toot Your Horn

Word-of-mouth referrals are the best kind of exposure you can get. There's nothing more powerful than a personal endorsement from a satisfied customer. Make it easy for people to tell their friends and family about your product or service. Rarely a day goes by on my site that someone hasn't emailed a friend using my handy online referral form. This is a branding tool that every business should employ.

In the end, the name of the game is repeatedly exposing consumers to your unique business identity - your brand. The above strategies are viral marketing tools in that they are far-reaching and long-lasting, and that's a great combination for long term business success.
