Scott played goalie and has a Bachelor's degree from the prestigious St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.  He played Division 1 Hockey and was awarded the St' Cloud State Student Athlete of the Year award, 2001 WCHA Final 5 Champion, 2001 All American, 2 time WCHA All Star Team and a 2 time WCHA All-Academic Team.

He also was the Assistant Coach and in charge of Hockey operations for the Cedar Rapids Hockey Team which ended up as the Clark Cup Champions in 2005.

He was a member of the New York Rangers organization from 2001 to 2004 and was selected to the 2002 ECHL All Star game and was the Hartford Wolfpack's playoff MVP.

He has also designed and produced a line of goalie equipment.
