The Latino Comedy Project, Austin’s award winning sketch comedy group, seeks new actors/actresses for the troupe as well as talent for upcoming video projects.

Be prepared to demonstrate both acting and original writing abilities. Males and Females - all ages and ethnicities - should prepare a self-written comedic monologue, 1 – 3 minutes long. Minors must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, with callbacks March 14th-15th. By appointment only.

Please email headshots and resumes to casting@lcp.org for appointment, and bring 2 hard copies of headshot and resume to audition. Visit http://www.lcp.org for more group info.

The LCP just wants to thank everyone who came out to the show this weekend. What an awesome way for the LCP to begin 2009!


All four of our “Bye Bye Bush” shows were PRE-sold out, and the turnaway overflow crowds could have filled an entire other pair of shows (apologies to those who couldn’t get in). The audience response was amazing too, with standing ovations throughout the weekend. 


We appreciate all the support from new fans who’ve just recently discovered us and from those of you who, over the years, have become warm, familiar faces at our shows.


We hope you’ll stay with us this year as we pursue a place for our comedy on the national stage (Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more exciting details!)


Again, thanks so much and we hope to see you all again very soon.

Hey Everyone, 
  
If you missed our completely sold-out fall run, we invite you to join us for an encore presentation of "Bye Bye Bush!", a hilarious night of the LCP's favorite "W" sketches dating all the way back to 1998. The LCP will pay a final farewell tribute to a man who has provided ALL comedians a rich abundance of material over the last eight years. "Bye Bye Bush!" runs Friday-Saturday, January 16-17, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. at The Hideout Theatre, 617 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701. You can't miss it!

We wanted to let you guys know that the LCP are appearing in a promo campaign running right now on MTV3!!

This spring, the LCP wrote, co-wrote and were featured in several branding ads for the channel as well as a series of "Rants" commenting on Latino life and culture. The "Rants" are now running for Hispanic Heritage Month, with several more to come through early 2009!
