We made it back. We met some amazing people along the way during our current East Coast tour and wanted to say thanks to everyone who came to our shows, put us up for the night, fed us a meal, and booked a show for us:
We would first and foremost like to thank our good friend Brian from Aseethe for letting us share a stage with him for two weeks straight. Words can't do justice to the amount of unending love we have for this man.
Secondly, we would like to thank Noah for joining us for this tour and providing a much needed boost both musically and spiritually.
Another major shout-out goes to our good friend Fodge, for putting up with our shit for two weeks. Best worst roadie ever.
In no particular order, the following people in the list helped make all of this possible and proved to us that there is indeed a network of people across this great county of ours willing to make the underground music scene work and thrive:
Ted, Josh and Sarah, Andy, Man at Arms, Sean, Animal, Villa Vietcong, Aaron, Arbogast, Ed, Dark Oars, kids in Jamestown, NY, The Labryinth Press Company, UAG and everyone we met in Albany, Mr. Paul Show, Mr. Barr, Jan & Pheobe, Garret, Alex, The Girl Cave, Sarah L., CPR, Ilsa, Chirs, The G, Oak and Bone, Square of Opposition, kids in Washington DC, Megan, Greenspan, Kate, Bob Evans, Josh (me), Elevens, Turn It Up Records, Crooked Beat Records, kids in Columbus, OH, Cornick, Doug, The Picador, John, Lord Green, LWA, Cafe 9, Armagosa, Neospura, Ilsa, Death Rats, Brian, Shut the Box, Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, kids in Bethlehem, PA, and cheap PBR across the land, and each and every person who watched us play night after night. THANK YOU ALL!

from the Scenester Credentials website: RED "FLOWER" DESIGN 1Scenester Credentials is very proud to present the first recorded works of Shores of the Tundra on the 12" vinyl format. Shores of the Tundra originated with the idea of only having one song that grew as more parts were written. To this day, the band can play an entire set without stopping the aural experience. At an epic 18+ minutes "Heart of the Beckoning" (30+ minutes when performed live), is part 2 of a continuous series of music. Part 3 "Cities End Times" will be released later this year, and will blend seamlessly into "Heart of the Beckoning" when played back to back. Featuring an ex-member of Showering Ashes, Shores of the Tundra plays industrial style electronic doom metal with spacey melodious parts and multiple sound layers, capturing something similar to Godflesh covering Pink Floyd. Crushing brutality and pain are meet with peaceful beauty and hope. From all out raw screaming to droning chants, "Heart of the Beckoning" plays a series of structured musical movements blending together to create the feeling of cohesive one song. Recorded at Flat Black Studios (William Elliott Whitmore, ft (the Shadow Government), Aseethe, The Horde, The Tanks, etc...) over the course of 3 harsh winter days, "Heart of the Beckoning" combines programed drums, samples, noise effects, oscillators, and other electronics effects, along with the more traditional instrumentation of guitar, keyboard, and vocals. Meticulously blending the power of overdriven guitar heaviness and electronic effected aural space exploration. 343 copies pressed on clear vinyl with screened b-sides. 3 differing designs have been screened each limited to 114 copies, respectively. Not only does the record have a screened b-side which acts as both art and cover, but the record itself plays from the inside out! Shores of the Tundra's attempt to blend music, art, and function into one record, is not only achieved, but they have also shown us that musical boundaries can still be pushed.

Just a quick update. We're currently booking our Midwest tour with Aseethe for September. We also just finished up recording and mixing our new song "Cities End Times" which will appear on a split 7" with Aseethe. If all goes according to plan we should have these out in time for tour. Brian (who made our "logo") is working on the cover art and it looks sweet! This will be limited to 300 copies on white vinyl. Also, our copies of our first release, the "Heart of the Beckoning" 12", should arrive next week! We are very excited about this. Expect a couple of release shows to happen in late August. Expect some new shirt designs as well.

The test pressings for the epic "heart of the beckoning" 12" by Shores of the Tundra arrived today. These sound fucking amazing. Limited one time pressing on 300 copies w/ screened b-side all on clear vinyl. Don't miss these. For fans for Godflesh, Neurosis, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Skinny Puppy, and Jesu. For fans of all that is heavy and beautiful. These will be out in time for the Aseethe / Shores of the Tundra fall tour.

Shores of the TUNDRA , along with some other like minded bands, are playing a Fund Raiser (we won’t say benefit as no-one benefits from war) to help the UofI Anti-War Committee raise money to continue their efforts to stop the wars (occupations) and end the blood shed the American forces are causing in Iraq. The UofI Anti-War Committee has already demonstrated their ability to offset the plans of war criminals like Karl Rove in spreading their message of hate and world domination. We feel it is the best interest of our community and our country to provide even a mild amount of support to our struggling brothers and sisters overseas and help end this terrible mess of a war (occupation).

Well it is safe to say that the "weekend of balls and ice" now renamed "tasty of the tacos" was a fun time that will go down in the books a success. Many new friends were made, many good bands played, and many burrittos were consumed. Special thanx to Lord Green, Mauul, Acoustic Guiollotine, The Picador, Big John and the brave folks of Iowa City who braved the harsh winter lands. Super special thanks to Colonizer and Colonizer dudes, Joe, Clark, ZZZ, and the whole Des Moines crew located at Servo Teck. Extra special thanx to Weather is Happening, B-Rad, Rachel, Lauren, Owen, Low Oriole, Phil, Snakefork, Barleycorn's, Raffi, and pretty much all the places in the Kansas that have toilets. Last but not least a very heartfelt and special thanks goes to new band manager Brent Johnson (aka smooth peanut butter johnson aka b-jizzle aka bj) without whom the weekend would have not been the same. We'll be back out (middle) west very soon!
