Next Saturday we take the stage at Slim's, one of the best music venue in SF. This really is when Johnny Hi-Fi breaks into the SF scene. We want you all to come out to support the band and make a great impression on Slim's. We've called NY home for almost 10 years, and it's time we show the west coast some love! Go to www.AsianRockFest.com for tickets.

Music is made to be heard. Then shared. We didn't want anything getting in the way of that. So download our new album "Vicious Cycle of Promises & Apologies" for free and tell your friends about us. Then check back frequently to download all the B-sides we'll be regularly posting on the site. Yes. They are free too.

Enjoy our new album.

Hello everyone!

Since we're having so much fun at these events, we decided to post a blog about them.  Since 2004, the band has been criss-crossing the country performing our award winning seminar called Passion and Profession, a collection of personal experiences and tools we've compiled highlighting the important decisions one makes that will hopefully lead to healthy and balanced life.

It's a Career counseling seminar of sorts, with multicultural and diversity initiatives, but we're not licensed psychologists.  Just 2 guys who have achieved a level of success in both our traditional professions and our creative endeavors.

Please check it out and if you enjoy the message and would like to have us at your university or institution, please email Asif, whose contact information is at the Passion and Profession website:

See you all soon!!!

Ever since we wrapped up our first US Tour in May (all 13 cities were freaking blasts!), we've been turning down all the shows and appearances so we can focus on the making of our new double album.

At the same time, we've been busy getting ready for a huge PR and organizing our first World Tour. Overwhelmed would be an understatement of everything that happened in the last 2 months, but you can feel the electricity in the air and the buzz on the street is getting out of control.

We will be making  a huge announcement on Monday to the world, but to give you a heads up (since you're so nice to us on MySpace), here are a few things that's happening in the next two months:

- Asia Tour booked: Opening for Placebo and Supergrass in Beijing
- Billboard Magazine showcases JHF in late August
- Double album (in English and Chinese) to be released in September
- Negotiating with Universal, Warner, EMI and others regarding distribution
- European Tour in September
- 2nd US Tour starting in late September

Dear friends,

Well, after tonight we *had* to write something.  After meeting new fabulous friends at a fantastic show at Auburn University in Alabama two days before,  Johnny Hi-Fi had one of its most memorable and incredible experiences at the House of Blues in Cleveland.

The night started at 4:30PM, with a warm reception by the House of Blues staff.  What beautiful hospitality!  We were ushered into the  lavish Cambridge room.  The band knew were in for something special when we saw this room!  Drapes, beautiful couches, gorgeous lighting....we were stunned.

Did we mention the staff??  We had our first professional 'road crew'!  We didn't have to do anything, for the first time the backline was setup, the sound was taken care of and we were in heaven! Soundcheck was done and it was off to dinner.   What amazing food and drink at the restaurant!!!...but we had to be quick and it was back to the room.

All of our friends and family attended the event and since Asif was from a nearby town, it was a sort of homecoming for him.  He was greeted with old acquaintances and long lost friends.

The night started with Center Lane from Cleveland, an up and coming band with a youthful sound.  They played an energetic set and got the crowd warmed up.

Showtime!  We were told we had 45 min and we packed it with our favorites starting off with 'If This Could Only Last', to 'Man Overboard', to 'I Can't Reach You."  Everyone seemed to like this big intro!

We continued with 'You Are Not for Sale' and 'Second Chance'.

We took another quick break and finished with fan favs 'Lovesong on the radio', 'Natalie' and 'Passive Killer'.  We felt the vibe and finished with huge ending...but that wasn't the end, as we were prompted for an encore and finshed the evening with 'This is the Song'.

What a show!  The night continued on to the bar and we concluded the evening by relaxing with old friends and forging new ones!  We were humbled by the heartfelt reception and compliments we received.  The soundman Mike mentioned that Coldplay couldnt have put on a better show and that our show was the best he had seen in the Cambridge Room in the past 6 months!

The band had to make it back to New York the next morning and drive through the night reliving the show...a night to remember!

We hope that those who attended enjoyed themselves as much as we did and we can't wait to see you again!

Well,

the journey continues, and our next stop is MTV Chi, a subdivision of MTV World, highlighting Chinese-American Artists here in the US, to be shown on DirectTV.

Well, we can get there, with your help, please vote for us at http://www.mtvchi.com.  We're vying to be the first video shown on MTV Chi, when it launches, Dec. 6th.  Think 'The Buggles - Video killed the Radio Star', for MTV here in the US, and 'Dire Straits - Money for Nothing', when MTV Europe launched.  Not as dramatic as that tho...but cool nonetheless.

Oh,

Vote as much as you want :)

Sincerely,
Johnny Hi-Fi
