so i'm still not done moving, tonight is the first night I will have had a chance to go and get more stuff out of Everett to the place in shoreline.

I've been busy with 3 jobs now.. Kinko's, Catering, and the photography. Last night I shot promo pics for YDT, and on the weekend I shot Peratus at the Central.

Then it's finally time for some shows I really want to see... Thursday night sounds like DJ Qbert, Friday is Casiotone For The Painfully Alone at Atlas, , Sunday Menomena & The Decemberists in Portland.

A game that was inadvertently started by Neil in my car has now started to take hold. Allover Snohomish county people are getting tacos hidden on them only to find a rotten taco days later.

There have been 4 victims so far, myself being the first, James, Steve Strauss, and another unnamed because he hasn't found the taco yet.

So I emplore you nation, start hiding tacos on your friends. The 99 cent jack in the box tacos work best as they stay self contained and don't make much of a mess, because the fun in all this is hiding the taco, not creating a biohazard area.

For those that don't know. Neil left a taco on accident under my car seat after driving his drunk ass to Jack In The Box, I didn't find it until 3 days later in the hot sun. I then made design and sent it over to Neil's store and they blew it up and made a poster of it and suddenly people just started hiding tacos for kicks.

I had this epiphany sometime ago but never sat down and wrote anything down.

But, being a genre crossing canadian band is great... for one song. Sadly both bands I will cite as examples both released follow up albums that never made it to america in much of an official capacity.

Example #1, Bran Van 3000, with the hit "Drinkin in LA". Crossing, pop, rock, rap, and electronic their american debut Glee was one of the few life changing albums for me, so much so I sought out the indie canadian release of Glee that has different samples and some track changes. Their one hit was all over and the follow up singles didn't seem to do well at all. Then a few years later they released Discosis, which was far and beyond what Glee was, in both production and creative genius.

Sadly the release of Discosis in Canada & Japan saw the bankruptcy of their label Grand Royal. There is two different versions of Discosis out there, and both are good for their own points. Listen to both of them if you have a chance.

Then the second band, Len.
Not as good as Bran Van but they also had a huge hit in america only to see very little in the way of a follow up sales of their second album "Diary of a Madman" which is far and above way better than "You can't stop the bum rush", the sampling is just absolutly great and giddy, but their use of the word, fuck, gets old.

Give em both a chance if you would.

You can now buy The Silverback "Pathogen" online! Just cruise over to www.thesilverback.net and pick up a copy for just $10 with free shipping to the United States and only $5 shipping to the UK, EU, Japan, & Australia.

If your local you can pick up a copy for the same price at Black Sheep Clothing in Everett, WA with more retail outlets to come! Hell you can even arrange to get a CD locally from either myself if you're in Lynnwood.

Pathogen is now available at many fine record stores in Seattle.

Sonic Boom Records in Fremont, and Silver Platters... for up to date information see our location page at thesilverback.net as more stores will be coming.

In 6-8 weeks you will be able to buy Pathogen on iTunes US, UK, Australia, Japan, & Canada as well as Rhapsody and Napster.

So it's November now and it's nipple-hard cold out almost all the time it seems.

I've started a new job which severely limits the amount of time I have to work on new music which is both good and bad. Good because after I finally get some debt paid off maybe I can invest is some new gear, bad because I now have 40 less hours a week to work on everything I do.

One saving grace is Google Reader which saves me over 2 hours of web browsing a day, I just skim the new stuff on all the sites I love and don't have to read the chaff.

I have also gotten into Synth building, I made my first one a couple weeks ago and it's really really basic but it makes lots of cool noises, I'm working on a keypad matrix to use it to play notes and be even more music than just a generator of sounds.

I have disabled the download option for the songs on my myspace profile. Not because I don't want people to download them, it's because the quality is ass compared to the files you can get from my website, all of them are available there.

Forgot to mention here that The Silverback has a singer now, Angela Faro whom you can find in my friends list.

We have 3 songs recorded so far and are steadily picking up steam. It's an odd feeling having to mix for vocals again and I'm pretty damn rusty for some reason but I'm getting better. I have 4 different sources I mix for here at home and then I send it off to Tony to see what he thinks after playing them on the worlds crappiest speakers.

Due to the influx of time spent on The Silverback and the subsequent lack of more free time I'm having to scale back all my solo music time. It sucks but you gotta have priorities.

well I'm getting closer and closer to a tracklist for the next album. I've been gaining more and more ground and it feels pretty good.

We're also recording twice a week on new The Silverback material and contemplating our attack on an Album-A-Day project.

I'm currently looking for vocalists/writers to collaborate on so please hit me up if you're up for it.

My casio obcession is taking me over, I'm now out at least 3 times a week looking for keyboards, I can't pass a thrift store without thinking I just passed  up a golden opportunity without looking. I've given up all other life's addictions, and picked up a new one along the way.

Current mood:  annoyed
I know this thing is about adding friends and extending networks, but is it too much to ask that I actually be able to read your page if you want to be added to my friends list.

I can't sit there and look through some extremly busy backdrop with text that is the same color. No time for that.

So don't be shocked if it gets denied.
