Hello all,

A few of you may have been expecting this from the lack of updates or even known already... but basically Kubichek! is no more. After Alan left we did a few shows, but to be honest it just didn't feel as though it was what we wanted. So we thank all of you for coming to the shows, buying the records and supporting us over the past four years, you've been amazing.

Out of the ashes though, we found our feet and formed a new band - Black Flashes - and we'd really appreciate it if you could take some time to check us out.

Here's our myspace
http://www. myspace. com/weareblackflashes for some demos and gigs.

Thanks again,

Kubichek! xx

We're sad to say that Alan is no longer with the band. We've all been friends and band members for some time now and have had some great experiences together as a result. We wish Alan all the best for the future.

Alan is now living at myspace.com/hereyee where he will infrequently upload his random musical output in the future, feel free to pop by whenever you like.

Our good friend Graham Thompson will be joining us on guitar and we are currently writing our 2nd album which should be released spring next year. We will be playing a couple of shows before the end of the year to roadtest new songs so keep an eye out for those.

hello people

just a quick one to say cheers to everyone who turned out at the GeordieShow last night. It was..well mint and we were well chuffed with the sing-alongy bits in Stutter. It all went a bit wild on the last tune, Just Shut It Down, when some excited audience members tried to give it a bit of the old stage invasion (why not?)..only to be man-handled and thrown out by the venue..by the security in a manner which just wasnt on - hence Frog departing the stage to try and sort it. It was pretty harsh seeing people being thrown around unecessarily and I lost me rag a bit over the mic (someone had to stay on stage eh?!) and i dont think i actually sang one correct lyric of the tune in end. I think every other word wasnt PG suitable so appologies to anyone who had their kids there! But we're only human!

Anyway, the people who got chucked out the venue, we managed to sneak them back into the dressing room for drinky-poos (Kubichek! 1 - Security 0) and we had a mint night and hope all you did - just a shame it was spoilt a little bit by (and i quote the 2nd verse of JSID on the night) 'power hungry neanderthal fuckers'

Album out tomorrow - exciting. It's all about taking me mother to buy one in HMV!

Reet, i'm hungover and my bed needs me. At least I'm not Graham Merch or McGreevy who are probably dying right now, if the clip they were in when i last saw them was anything to go by!

Alreet pets???

Southampton last night, was one of the best shows we've ever played. The crowd were totally mint apart from one fella with 'LOVE' and 'HATE' tattooed on his knuckles who insisted we "play a facking love song!" during each pause in the set.

Thanks to everyone who came especially the 20 or so people who invaded the stage during Nightjoy.

Woke up this morning with my arms aching like never before after I got a bit excited playing the boxing game on the Nintendo Wii yesterday. This was made worse after we were nice/stupid enough to help carry the monster PA into the 100 Club for the show tonight.

I'd never been the 100 Club until today but it's nothing like I thought it would be from the photos I've seen of The Clash and Sex Pistols playing here. It reminds me a bit of the community centre where me and Nelson used to go to youth club except with more photos of Eric Clapton and Lemmy from Motorhead on the wall.

Anyhoo gotta go and sound check now

stay classy

Good evening,

Everyone seems to be doing these blog things at the minute so I thought we should have a pop. And before anyone says out I realise that we haven't exactly 'got in on the ground floor' but anyhow avoiding the base level smut I hear is on Lily Allen's blog I'll begin…

You join me outside our dressing room in The Bristol Louisiana I have just eaten a dinner of pasta and meat balls accompanied by an aubergine dish I do not know that name of. Alan is sleeping in the dressing room, Nelson is hovering to my left and I don't know where Chris is.

Last night we played our first show of this tour at The Manchester Roadhouse. We played there in November but last night was much better. For a start there was around twice as many people there. And secondly everyone came down the to front, which (if you were at or read about the Carlisle sham a few weeks back you will know) is important to us. It was also the first time we played our album live in it's entirety although I won't tell you what order we played it in.

Whilst I don't want to encourage unlawful behaviour if your coming to one of the shows before the album comes out and have an opportunity to hear it beforehand we would not begrudge you taking up said opportunity, we'd hate you to arrive unprepared!!!
