Current mood:pleasantly surprised
usually these youtube remix/mash-ups are one of the great drawbacks of the democratization of technology. since anyone can make videos it leaves much room creativity as well as wackness. this "video mashup" of kanye's love lockdown and radiohead's reckoner is very fresh. if you've heard both songs and seen both videos it is really a brilliant remix audibly and visually. i enjoyed it. thought id share. here you go.

Current mood:almost real
between occasions the quiet before the storm is a promise soon broken but I entertain the lie with hope and listen for the moment the notion the motion the emotion mostly unnoticed, unrecorded, unremembered in the crisp of a Rochester September or in the rounded warmth of women who love like they breathe hard and heavy shallow uneasy breathe deeply the miracle is in the moment the moment before sin the moment after salvation the moment of enjoyment the moment of atonement I stand adjacent to morning waiting watching wondering about the moment after conception about the moment before birth the moment after death living dying dead center in the moment the moment that denies the past flirts with the future tomorrow calls but never comes tomorrow threatens but never comes
its always today
the Herenow the Hereafter oh soul seek ye the bounty of your Lord how many are afraid of the moment ashamed of the moment caged in the moment waiting for the right moment to live frozen in the moment awaiting the chosen the chosen who lives within their breast atop their head between the legs of their mothers oh poor soul while they are calling upon their ancestors their ancestors are calling upon them to be in the moment

{qp} is very ill. he is the production half of Sulaiman.s Temple. he produced the "How Beautiful" off of my "Like a Thief in the Night" album and produced the entirety of "The Meccan Openings". it was not just because i wanted to work with him but the things i was writing no other producers that i know could create the landscape that could house what i was writing. his work is dramatic, sentimental, incendiary, sharp, ascending, and wholly unique...and he's my brother. he finally got his myspace page on and cracking. he's loading up music but the myspace player is still tripping. check him on the regular because he's always creating new work. with love & gratitude amir

Current mood:appreciative
i'm sure you remember the promise i made this past week. if you happened to miss it i said i was going to post new songs from my new album by this past thurs. "if you find yourself on myspace and it's 11:59 on thursday evening and there is not new music posted on this page in the last 60 seconds of the day i give you full permission to call me all kind of bad names. promise." for the record, i did post the songs before midnight but this new myspace player is not functioning. so i've been trying all weekend to get it to work. Tom hasn't even gotten it to work right yet. all the songs are posted on my side but when i view my profile they are not there. im still hopeful because this morning i saw 3 of the 4 songs up on my profile. then i saw them repeating 3 songs. then it went back to 3. so depending when you check it out you may be able to hear something. know, it is not lost on me the fact that my people are so gracious to me that not one person called me a bad name. you are such well mannered folk. and i know all of you are not so well mannered all the time; so it makes me especially appreciative. with love.
