I had the privileged to record a few songs in Chicago this summer.  My new midwest brothers over at Hearya posted the songs as well as some videos (scary....)  Be sure to check out all the sessions and let them know how great of job thier doing!

Hearya Session

If you've ever wondered what I considered/still consider cool....well look no further than my Halloween pic from 1986.  I basically put on my school clothes and added a sweeet mustache and boooom...well...you'll have to see for yourself.   Be sure to search around and find some more surprises.

A lot of other things are happening, I hope the same for you.  Feel free to write and we'll catch each other up.

My buddy Dylan Metrano wrote a book about touring.  He's been traveling for a long time and I can imagine has some pretty interesting stories to tell.  I shared some of my experiences (mostly based on food) along with a TON of other folks.  The book comes with a companion disc that features covers of Tiger Saw songs.  My main dude Greg Gover and I spent a long winter's day recording a version of "Burning".  I kind of forgot what it sounds like, so I'm pretty curious myself.

You may purchase the book here:  Burst and Bloom

One of my personal heroes.  Probably one of the best souls to ever be around music.  My grandpa had a radio show called "Melody Farms" in the 50's and would always open the show with Les Paul and Mary Ford.  Take a moment and appreciate this beautiful man.

With great sadness, I will be saying good bye (for now) to my adopted home Wilkes-Barre.  Its only a 90 minute move but I'm just now realizing how much of me is defined by  this place.  I just wanted to give a general thank you to everyone that has been so great these past six years.  But those of you who I still talk with regularly will probably see me as much as you do now:)

My wife (yeah crazy...) and I will be moving to Philly for her to pursue graduate school.  I will also be stepping down from my position at my beloved school.  So next year who knows...  I will be able to play more shows (not just during Pesach break) and the Pope Kill Dragon record is ready to be made.

I already have some wonderful old friends in Philly but we would love to build up a new community.  It will definitely be a new adventure for both of us.  So any kind suggestions of awesome restaurants, thrift stores, co-ops, ect....would be much appreciated.

Also, I would like to extend to everyone else the wonderful and supportive pieces that various folks having written on the Oaks this year.  People have been so generous.

I'm probably forgetting some, but please don't visit these for my sake, the writers/sites are awesome and deserve the attention more than I do.

I have finally decided to join the fresh and expanding market of Compact Disc production.  The Simple Folk Session we did last year is now available for purchase.  These live songs are very different from the album version so it makes for a nice listen:

Leave Ruin
End In Flames
Two Kids
Forty-Five Today
New Paris
