Current mood:  horny

Yeah man, we got the album! And it sounds great and doesn't skip!

It's at Born Bad, 17 rue Keller, Paris 11e.

It took 6 months, the factory went out of business, etc etc! Jesus!!! I'll post the full story when I have nothing better to do.

There are some pictures in our Myspace photo section of picking up the records at the factory.

ATTENTION AMERICANS: to buy this record (as well as some of our earlier shit), go to www.interpunk.com

Well, as usual with record release shows, we don't know if the new LP will be ready in time for the 25th! We are waiting for the factory to finish the pressing. Let's see if there is a surprise or not... See you at the show!

Looks like the new LP is almost finished, and we will send it for production soon! Thirteen tracks on vinyl. Yeah man! One cut (Show Me What You Got) is on the Myspace page, I will put some more later.

Ah, now I see why people like blogs. You can use them to get something off your back and no one will contradict you. Let's get started.

There are two problems with getting approved as a Four Slicks friend.

The first is that I am really lazy and find it impossible to keep ahead of Friend Requests. If you are in this category, sorry about that!

The second problem is that there are more and more friend requests that bug me.
I wish good luck to the following, but I am not interested in adding them as "friends":

1. Musicians who have nothing to do with punk/garage/rock n roll.

2. Musicians who are looking to make it big and get signed.

3. Businesses.

4. In particular, all of the above with (for example) 30,000 "friends".

Ironically, the concept of MySpace is all about advertising. Either advertising yourself (to get chicks, be cool, etc.) or advertising your band (to get chicks, get fans, get shows, be cool, etc.). And let's admit that I profit from it too, by my presence on MySpace and my participation.

But just like it bugs me in the world of punk rock when the business side exceeds the fun side, I would rather turn down this kind of "friends" on MySpace than have more of them.

I wish you good luck, and maybe your stuff is even good!

But if you like the music of the Four Slicks (thanks!), rather than looking to exploit our extremely feeble influence on a few alcoholic French rockers, please add us from your personal MySpace rather than your "business" or "band" one.

Jon

Yeah man!
5000 miles later, Fred wheeled our 63 Ford Falcon wagon onto the Triboro Bridge and the Four Slicks were in New York City.
Thanks to everybody who helped make this a great US tour. Once we get some rest there will be some photos and stuff added to the site.
Stay Wild!
