I've found some really cool myspace quotes and I decided I'm gonna make a spot to keep them:

cherish every mo-
ment, take every
chance, never take
anyone for granted,
and live everyday
like it is your last

-cassey

love has nothing
to do with what
you're expecting
to get, its what
you're expected
to give. - which
is everything.

Whats up crew? For those of you who've never heard this guy speak... give him a listen. Anyone who wants to skip the small talk and jump..to the message, you can scrub the bar to the 5:30 mark and start there. I'm..not gonna lie, at first, I didn't really wanna..watch this guy (Kent Hovind)..but my friend had the DVD, sat me down and told me just to give him a shot- so going along with the "open minded" theme, I did and all I have to say is WOW. Really opened my eyes. The facts he puts out about the age of the earth might have you saying the same thing...He goes over Darwin, atheism, 6 day creation and evolution with facts that honestly- I'd never heard until I watched this and..surprisingly, he uses alot of humor which is good. At any rate- enjoy.

Do you accept what your eyes don't see??
You guys ready to think?

Dara Li illustrator

There is a saying: Walk by faith and not by sight. Some know that saying well, but did you guys know we allll have faith? I mentioned in a past blog how even atheists have faith. They have faith in the belief that there is no God. So with that said- we all have faith in something. The majority holds faith in God of some form. What Ive realized is many of us have been trying to connect to God based on our 5 senses. Contrary to what we might have been taught, feelings dont connect us to God. Faith does.

Without faith- it is impossible to please God.

That deserves a line of its own. It doesnt matter how much you go to church or pray or what ever. When you board a plane--- not even so much as seeing the person flying or the dozens of other people moving around outside preparing the plane to take off and you sit down and wait; thats an example of faith- you have just put your life in their hands. Just to make sure were all on the same page with this.

There is a plan and a system for everything under the sun. It doesn't matter what you believe in- thats how it goes. When it comes to Gods plans, we cannot interpret these based on our own understanding neither can we institute or own way of doing things based on our own abilities. I was at work in the middle of a thought provoking conversation with two female co-workers and they said "We believe in God but we follow our own thing ya know. Still have fun." What made it odd is that when I was in California a few days later, another gamer started talking to me briefly about religion and their comments echoed that saying: "I believe in God and all but I got my own thing going on."

Tsuzen Nakajima - Koi Pond

God says faith is what connects us to him. But he also says that faith without works is dead- like a body without a soul. Did you know your actions display the characteristics of your faith? Every day of the week; every second of the day. Take something as simple as your myspace page. Whats on it? What song is playing when it loads? Because regardless of what we say--- many of our actions from day to day say "I dont trust God".

Time to open the floor with a question: If you believe something is true- whats your reason for believing it?

Category: Parties and Nightlife

A light hearted blog is just what the doctor ordered. This bash easily blew out any of the other birthday bashes in the prior years.

4:15 Friday, July 7th: Marriot Vista... this place easily blows out any hotel we've ever done the bday bash at 1st off. Me, Omari, Ameer and Bandit ride up and check in.

We get the room keys and bolt over. Kitchen, living room, dining room and one long master bedroom on either side of those with connecting showers and jacuzzi's plus patios with the *wink "golf course view"*. We get there and instantly start trickin it out-- unpack the computer- hook up the flat screen monitor, ipod, speakers, XBOX 360, Gamecube, lava lamps... fill the fridge full of powerade, and sodas... etc gotta make it home ya know... Pimp my timeshare 101.

Jinx (the ipod) was the DJ for the weekend. He's available for parties and graduations... lol. 26th Bday bash was the playlist. Over 13 hours of goodness. Everything from Tetris remixes to Mozart.

So before things get crackin-- Will gives me a quick edge while everyone starts to show up. The screaming begins in the dining room from Ameer and Bandit. Phone starts rinnin off the hook.

Once everyone shows we jump in the car and head over to Hard Rock Hotel... Omari laughs off to the left while Will decides to show of his Mexican pride lol... that is Mexico right Will?? LOL justtt kidding

Some of my favorite guests that week overheard me say that I was eating at the Kitchen so they went out of their way to get balloons for my table and left me an awesome card.

Darnell, Warren, Deka and Danielle meet us in the kitchen at Hard Rock...

Deka and Danielle with (what they call) their "game faces". Doug (a coworker) shows up and starts doing some mind-numbing card/magic tricks. I'll save those pics for later.

11:20pm... we finish up dinner and decide to skip Pirates 2 and head back to base. So everyone jumps in their car and heads back to the rooms. We all get up there and ummmm I have to end it there. Well we got back and made a pact... what happens at the timeshare... stays at the timeshare; I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea of what went down but I can tell you all that it didn't involve drugs, sex, alcohol anything of that nature-- but pretty much all I can say is we get a call around 2am and it was to tell us to turn down the fun jusssttt a little bit. We were respectful and did; and started droppin asleep around 5ish. The 3 rooms sleeps 10 people so we all break up and decide where we're going and we'll close the night there.

Saturday July 9th 10:30am: I wake up first and everyone is seriously.. DEAD to the world. I'm talking... Blinds shut tight... nothing. Bandit and I normally do the shopping every year at publix so he told me no matter how early I go- to wake him up... So I go in the room...and wake him up.

Warren was in the living room OUT like a light- I love that guy look at em. Sleeping so peacefully. Me and Bandit grab the keys and jet to Publix. We get there and there are these 5 Brazillian girls exchanging glances with us as we go about our shopping. If anybody wants the details on that... inquire below and I'll spill it cuz there's more on that but I'll move on for the sake of space.

We get back and the blinds slowly start to open and the button mashing begins. I'm in the kitchen fixing up some cinnamon rolls and some mean grilled ham and cheese... ohhh man-- those things were good.

Janeake shows up and she and I run to go get some pizza. Flippers... wow.. they outdid themselves that day. 3 cheese 2 pepperoni. We get back and Darnell and a bunch more friends and family show up. So you know whats next...

Icecream cake that reads "Happy Birthday SwooDie" ... it should read sWooZie.. but I think I'm the only one who noticed- cuz soon as the cake came out... it was getting sliced and diced pretty quick. Oh-- the reggae set was playing on iTunes here... so I was dancing in the kitchen while cutting and serving... ahh man-- that was fun.

My mom and my aunt even got in on some of the XBOX 360 action- they're playing Dead or Alive 4. It was one of the cutest things I think I'd seen in a LONG time.

This here... average UNO players need not apply. We're playing 8 man California PRISON UNO at this table... people gettin jumped left and right- craziest version of UNO you will every play. There's someone off camera in the upper left of the pic.. who's hands are those?

Michelle getting her hand ready for the melee thats about to go down. Oh and this was also a site to see...

I try very hard not to take for granted that both my parents are here and still together so this sight was especially a treat for me this weekend. A pic that I probably will keep for some time.

Me and my man Warren... This guy had me laughing alllll weekend long. Seriously. I was crying at one point; covering my face and all-- you know that laughter that gets to where your grin looks foolish. Yeah that was me. I think Tokyo Drift was playing in the background there in iTunes for ya Warren-- that was his jam of choice this weekend. It got qued up a few times in the playlist.

You know the annual freestyle battle had to go down too. Pro Monix (Ameer) vs. Raven (Warren)... Ameer's first round seriously... wow. I ran the instrumental beat and they took it from there. But Ameers first round was one of the sickest I'd heard in a long time. Naturally Warrens answer had everyone rolling.

From left to Right: Darnell, Bandit, Warren, Me, Ameer and Ryan all pack up base and head over to Hot import nights.

Okay... quite on the hot side this year. $25 per head-- we stayed for about two hours and ran into some peoples we know. I finally got to meet my cousins friend who I met on myspace and have talked to through him-- that was nice. Bumped into Nigel who finds me there EVERY YEAR in a sea of heads.

DSC00056.jpg

Okay... We get back and Darnell teaches us a card game called "Kent"-- this thing had us up alllllll night. It was so much fun. The restof the boys were off in other rooms-- not sure what but Kent had the 5 of us in a trance. We drank sodas and water, chatted and played that till the wee hours and you see that smile on Harry's face... well... that... led down to a good 5 mins of... okay I'll have to use the "what happens at the timeshare" card here . Shortly after that--- we started droppin off. That bed was so nice and cold.

We got a late checkout and headed to the pool. Every year we skip it but I wanted to get the most out of it this time around ^_^. Now that I look at it- I left about a dozen pics out... maybe they'll surface one day :) Next year... any of you that get a call... seriously... might wanna see if you can take a second out of your time to drop in cuz these pics barely do this weekend justice-- not to mention the stuff I "didn't" get pictures of.

Also- for those who came, if I forgot anything- feel free to add...

~My 2 cents on abortion...
If it is not a human being; what kind of being is it?

Eggs.. no wait... EGGS!

My 10 year old cousin and I were sitting my room awhile ago & he turned to me and said "Did you know that we were fish in our mommies belly before we become human?" I looked back and asked, "Who told you that?" and he replied, "We learned that at school". Now at the time it rubbed me the wrong way but I didn't know how to express my thoughts to him.

Later, a friend of mine got pregnant and she was telling me how the guy who got her pregnant was trying to talk her into getting the operation. He would tell her "Get the abortion- it's not even a human being." Some of you might remember the quote on my page "What we believe determines how we behave..." but moving on-

On Sept 11th over 3200 Americans died in the attacks and now we're at war trying to kill the guys responsible five years later. But on that day (elsewhere) over 4400 Americans were killed due to abortion. The same thing happened on 9/12 and 9/13 and everyday since then. Have we gone nuts? I understand wanting to go through with an abortion. I've heard... "It's my body, I can do whatever I want with it" but you're not aborting your body- you're aborting someone elses body. Think about it.

Because we call it pro-choice--- does that make it a lesser form of murder? We know the baby can't live on it's own, but does that justify killing it? We wouldn't be able to live on our own either stark naked on the north pole. So my question now is, if it's not a human being- then what kind of being is it? And if it's not alive yet- then why is it growing? Am I correct? Or am I alone on this one?

There is a particular department that lies within this topic and we shall no doubt progress into it but I'll leave that up to you guys to open the door.

Created Gay?
Are people born gay or is it choice? Thinking caps, activated...

Cutie
Not too long ago, I was over at a (for the time being) nameless 4 star hotel. I was walking around the hotel to soak in the view. There was one particular department that I got to and I was recognized. I had never seen this gentleman before but he knew who I was. After a few words, he said "You mind if I walk with you?". I told him I didn't so he joined me. A few moments later he says, "So I heard you're a pretty big Christian into the word and what not". Now what I didn't mentioned yet is that this gentleman was noticeably very soft-spoken. I smiled wondering how he knew all this about me and nodded. He let on that he knew my sister and had heard about me.

He then added, "I'm a Christian too" and we continued chatting. He then said, "I have been through SO much with work and just my life in general because I used to be gay. And people still make fun of me cuz I talk like this." That's where I had to stop him because I'd never heard anyone say that- so I asked "What do you mean you 'used' to be gay?" He started to expand on all the things he would do for drugs and a number of eye opening things he'd been through; I won't repeat here but my jaw opened more and more the longer he talked. He then said to me "Brother, whoever tells you that they were born gay is not only lying to you but lying to themselves." And he began to explain why.

..turtle power! We talked for a little while longer and then we went our separate ways. However- that particular statement and explanation latched onto me like a splinter in my mind for weeks. I always thought people were born gay. Who in their right mind would "choose" a lifestyle like that I would wonder. My thoughts led me down a few hallways. One was, if I had a condition (like road rage for example) and I was convinced that I was born with that- how hard would I really try to change it? Or would I even begin to try and change it vs. throwing my hands up and letting it root itself in me? Something else I found that I never knew about was that God classifies homosexuals (effeminate) in the same department with thieves, extortioners, drunkards and adulterers which are all assumed qualities not encoded in our DNA.

How some Christians choose to openly hate on gay people shows their lack of understanding in what they claim to believe and isn't something I share in. Especially when the person that died for us left clear instructions to love everyone as you love yourself (regardless of their sexual preference). Something we should really understand is if we don't have a foundation in what we believe- rationalization will then take over.

The facts are that homosexuality isn't hereditary. A gay parent doesn't birth gay offspring. People who are gay normally come from straight parents. The genes we each have are uncontrolable but there is no gene for "gay". So to open the floor... do you believe God created humans? If yes, then do you think he would create a gay human?

Current mood:  creative

From time to time I come across pics on the net that make me just stop and laugh. Not sure if you guys have ever played any variation of the caption game but I say we have a little fun with it on the blogs.

How it works is I'll post a pic to get it started. Just like when we post pictures for our myspace account, it allows us to leave captions under it- that's how we'll do it. The goal then, is just to post funny captions. You can add captions under the pic I have or you can post your own pic that you've found on the net and add your own caption to that. Once we have multiple pictures, you can take your pick from whoever's picture and leave funny captions or keep the new ones coming.

So let me get things rolling with the 1st pic...

20 Questions...
**update... there is a page two now- the link is directly under
the first blog post...**

Claret Prickie

What's up troops. This was a blog I've been thinking about for awhile and figured it was time to post it. Not to sound all big headed or self centered but there is a game my lil cousin from England and I play every time she comes to visit and thought I'd try it out on myspace. It's called 20 questions. We take turns asking each other ANYTHING and it gets pretty interesting. But for the blog I'll let you guys do all the asking and I'll do all the answering since I've been asking you guys questions for awhile now... so this time ask me anyyyyything at all and I'll answer it with 100onesty. One question per post but I'm only answering the first 20 questions that get posted up... so ask away.
