just got back from portland.  man, that's a nice city.  i love sf and all, but portland is beautiful - and clean!!!  sf is like a trash dump in comparision.

one of my new year's resolutions for 2009 is to consolidate my life. do more with less. get stronger. don't be an asshole. kiss my cat more often.

is going to be a great show - we're sharing the stage with adrian bourgeois and the conincidence, which, if you listen to his tracks on myspace, you can tell he and his band are the real deal. this is one of those things that you can say - remember when we saw them at the utah!!! i can't wait myself...

plus, we have a great opener (who i believe was nominated for a grammy this year)...samantha cathcart is teaming up with sherri-anne for very good folk and american acoustic love.

oh, and we're playing too :) show starts at 8, we're on at 9.

i'm stoked about this show - the band is really gelling; our last practice was the best sounding i've ever had with any band ... it's almost starting to sound like we know what we're doing!

i can't help but be excited about tomorrow night. the new band is just... awesome. bonnie is ..s, and a new rhythm section, made up of angeline saris on bass and andy korn on drums, is killer. we had three practices this week, including this morning, and i can tell you, it's the best the songs have sounded.

we're even going to bring back some old ones that have rarely (if ever) been played live, including 'let it go' and 'little bit here'. little bit here was a real question mark for me since the arrangement we did for the record hadn't been done live before. after working on it the past few days, i am no longer worried at all :)

on a side note, i watched 'the last starfighter' last night. it's this movie from the 80s that i think i absolutely loved as a kid; come on, it intertwined videogames and star wars esque sci fi. too bad i'm not seven anymore: it was soooo bad i had to stop watching it. horrible, horrible, horrible.

ok... here's to not destroying the innocence of childhood. see you tomorrow!

hi there.

i have a lot to share with you in one post. so i'll get to the point - i've signed with a local record label, addo music, and together we plan to take over the world. to add to the awesomeness, we are re-releasing 'enemy', completely remastered (it sounds AMAZING), on 11/2 at good ole hotel utah.

we also are playing this coming weekend at the utah (they like us, what can i say :) ) on 10/5. it is going to be an awesome bill (with pollux and smith point), and if you come, i promise an awesome free gift. i can't tell you what it is, but let's just say it involves music of mine that you've never heard before...

i hope all is good and healthy with you, and i promise to bring it this coming sunday... come on out!

and ready to bring it to you in a few months.... a remastered record, some fun remixes, and a lot of shows!! i'm very amped - haven't played with the band in a few months, and best of all, jeff is back in the bay area and ready to kill it on drums.

been playing a lot of piano lately - freddy mercury and i have been very intimate lately. anyway, expect a lot more of it on the next record... that and a lot more cowbell.

also, don't want to spill the beans quite yet, but i should have another announcement in the next few weeks.

howdy folks, hope you got everything you hoped for christmas day... i was running from stomach illnesses in chilly baltimore. yucky!

my best present was to be able to hang out with my mom, who miraculously recovered from a pretty terrible accident about six months ago.  she's not able to use her favored hand now, but she's a trooper and a big inspiration to me... life's problems are always relative.

before the holidays crept up on us, i got to give a podcast interview all about my music, the record, and expose all of my inner workings to the public... thanks to grace for a great interview!:

it's true - the toilets really do go the other way down here!  i couldn't believe it either.

i've been part of a wonderful wedding this week with my producer, joey, and his wife guadalupe.  we've all had a blast - lots of dancing and music, and great food at very cheap prices (all thanks to the recent collapse of argentina's economy).  oh, and it's really true, the women here are basically all beautiful.

in other news, i'm collaborating with a great producer in the UK on an electronic track.  i can't wait to share what we're cooking up!

more shows to come - for now, get fat today and save me some leftovers!
