Creating a game like the Tales of Pirates is a tough task, and making it as fair as we can is a never ending task. Many ToP players have raised issues about how their chosen class is being restricted and how it could be corrected. In response, the ToP team has been busy adjusting different aspects of each of the classes to enhance their abilities and attack power. We hope to achieve a strong balance of power that will give each class a something to rave about!

 

Mage based Classes:

The use of gem stones by the Mage based classes has been extended, including the Clerics, Seal Masters and Voyagers. They will not only be able to forge the spiritual gems onto armor and weapons, but also onto gloves and shoes, giving them a bigger spirit bonus and increasing their attack power dramatically.

 

Clerical staffs will now be classified as a ranged weapon and putting their damage power on par with that of a bow minus the Miss and Critical Rate.

 

Voyager Class

Voyagers are undoubtedly one of the weakest classes largely due to the Voyager’s Conch they wear in place of a necklace or a ring. With the conch having no attribute bonuses, the Voyagers inevitably end up with the least attribute points. After this adjustment the Conch will become an inconsumable item with a good amount of attribute points and the same function as a necklace.

 

Seal Master Class

Seal Masters will see two of their skills modified: Shadow Insignia and Seal of the Elder. Shadow Insignia will increase the torture effect, causing damage to a target every 2 sec, and the Seal of the Elder will have its HP-draining effect increased, now draining HP every 2 sec. The damage will be directly related to the Seal Masters level and Spirit points.

 

Sharpshooter Class

The modifications to the Sharpshooters are still being tested, but we will be enhancing bow skills and increasing the amount of damage they will produce.

The TOP officials are all set to set the fashion world ablaze! Why? Well it's simple; we want to make our own T-shirts! But the best part is that we want you to design them for us! So if you think you've got what it takes to set the fashion standard then we want to see. Not only will you be showered with kudos and adoration for being so stylish but you will also stand the chance of winning the TOP award as well as many other cool rewards. Remember it's easy to walk but it's better to strut!

    May is coming soon and as we know, May is a month full of surprises. To celebrate TOP will be holding an Innovation Contest; which will offer our players a platform to showcase their talents.
 

 

The stage has been set. But, whose ideas will be the best and the most creative? Who will be the trend setter?
 

 

Take part in this activity and be in with the chance of winning some of the fantastic prizes that we have prepared for you; such as the Black Gem, the Goddess Favor and so on. Hand in your fabulous work and maybe win big!
 

 

Event Introduction:
 

Event I:  TOP COSPLAY SHOW
 

When you really like and admire a character you can often find yourself adopting some of their signature catchphrases and attitudes. In a nut shell this is what we call COSPLAY. Not only copying the character’s style and fashion, but also their verve and charm.
 

 

But in a break from the norm we are going to move the COSPLAY forum from the convention hall to the web. Join us by uploading your TOP COSPLAY Video or photo work onto your space, (like myspace, facebook or your favorite BLOG website). So you can share your work with all of the other Comic and Animation fans online. The best work will win huge prizes!
 

 

Event II:  The skillful craftsman


The aim of the game is to take everyday objects and redesign to fit into the world of Tales of Pirates. Take a picture of your work and upload it onto your space like myspace, facebook or your favorite BLOG website. The most vivid and interesting work will win great prizes.
 

 

Event III:  The creative maker


Innovation exists everywhere. Just use your imagination to create something really groovy using our TOP designs, including all characters, Monsters, BOSSes, and items etc. Upload your picture into your space, (like myspace, facebook or your favorite BLOG website) and join our innovation contest.

    In the East they refer to it as Yin and Yang. Light and Dark. Good and Bad. The eternal struggle between those that follow the rules and those that break them. Well, there is security and peace of mind that comes with being one of the good guys, but ask any lady, sometimes it’s good to be bad. So, with this in mind, the TOP team has created an exclusive event for our VIP players to be both bad and good, and win prizes for being the baddest and the best!

Event Content
1. This event is only open to Pirate Necklace Owners. They must wear their exclusive Pirate Necklace and sign up at Spring Town. The GM will then teleport eligible players to the Island Prison.

2. The GM will then divide the entrants into 2 groups, Bodyguards and Raiders.

3. All entrants must go find GM A in the Safe Zone after the event has started. The 2 groups will draw lots to decide which party will be the bodyguards and which will be the raiders. Each bodyguard will then trade with the GM to obtain a Turkey Summoning Scroll.

4. The Bodyguards must summon their Turkeys within 5 seconds of obtaining the scrolls, or they will receive a warning from the GM. Those who get two warnings will be disqualified.

5. The Bodyguards will escort the Turkeys to Spot B on the Island Prison and must keep them safe from the Raiders. The Raiders must defeat the Bodyguards and stop them from getting to their destination. If a Bodyguard is killed his Turkey will also disappear. He must then return to GM A to get another scroll.

6. On the way to Spot B the Bodyguards must face the challenges from the Raiders, while also confronting the fierce Winter Island monsters. They must work together to accomplish their mission.

7. The Bodyguards must successfully escort their Turkeys to Spot B, hand them over to GM B, and then return to GM A to escort another turnkey. One successful trip means 1 credit earned.

8. The first round will last for 20 minutes, after that, our GMs will calculate and announce the credits players have won.

9. The Raiders in the 1st round will become Bodyguards in the 2nd round, while the Bodyguards in the 1st round will become Raiders for the 2nd. Each round will last for 20 minutes with prizes announced at the end of each round.

10. The group with the most total credits will be the winner, and all its members will be awarded a Lucky Prize. The other group will be rewarded the Honorable Mention prize.

11. The winning group also wins the chance to join in a special guessing game. The GM will call up a Level 5 Sand Bag and launch an attack on it, and then the members must guess the last 2 numbers of the damage value the Sand Bag took. The GM will rank the members in a list according to the accuracy rate of their guesses. The most accurate guess will win a big prize.

Event Rules:
1.The first round sign-up is only offered to female players.

2.Female players should sign up with the GM on Thundoria Castle(760, 1422) and get a love keepsake A. 15 minutes later, you will be sent to a safe area in Skeletar Isle and guarded by a level 3 Sand Bag Guard. Please stay there.

3. After this, male players can sign up with the GM on outside Spring Town Inn (3212, 2506). Please claim the love keepsake B and after 15 minutes, you will be asked to proceed to Skeletar Isle.

4.Male players should form a team and make their way to Skeletar Isle to exchange keepsake B for keepsake A with their favorite female player.

5.30 minutes later, a GM will exchange the rewards of the event on Skeletar Isle with male players' keepsake A and female players' keepsake B.

6.Only one reward can be exchanged and please leave at least 3 slots in your pack bag.

7.The TOP reporters are welcome to take part and do the reports of the event.

  Last week's Free Lunch event was quite a hit, and many players obtained the free rations we were giving out. However, some players told us it was a shame that they weren't able to join the event, so we have decided to hold this event again.

Don't miss out on the free rations this time!
 
Event Duration
11:00am--- 3:00pm EST (GMT-5) January 17th
Click here and Join in
 
Event Flow:
Step 1: Players log in game (skip this step if you've already been in game.)
Step 2: Log out, and the system will record this time as your start time.
Step 3: Go to the event page to sign-in here.
Step 4: Log into the game and remain online for 3 hours.
Step 5: Entrants log out game again.
Step 6: Entrants should return back to the event page. During 11:00am and 3:00pm January,17th players can sign in and click Submit button to get your rewards. (System will then calculate your total online time till now.)
 
Awards Period
3:00pm January 17th --- 3:00pm January 18th EST (GMT-5)
During the awarding period players can click the Draw Rewards button to get your rewards.
 
Note:
1. All players can enter this event, but only players whose account has at least one Level 30 or above character can draw rewards after the event ends. One account can draw the rewards only once.
2. Entrants should log out of the game once after the event has started, or the system won't record your online time.

Event Flow:
Each buzz member has their own link which can be posted in different forums, like gaming, video or even manga forums. You can use the following method to post the picture which includes your exclusive link each time you reply to the post in any website.

I. Refer to the Left side menu to find Resource Library on BUZZ homepage.
II. Click the Resource Library and you will see a list. Choose 'Buttons & Graphics'.

III. Choose TOP in the Select Game menu. 
IV. Choose anyone of the 3 following pictures, and then click UBB, then click COPY button. After that it is very convenient for you to use the picture each time you reply just by right-clicking and selecting paste. 
 

 
For example: Choose   and then click UBB then click COPY. Then you can right-click to paste the picture on websites, forums and blogs when you reply to a post.

 
Your promoting link is included in the picture. Other players who click the picture and join in the Tales of Pirate will be assigned to your member list, effective for the event.

Do you want to become a giant? Do you want to get rich, soon? Do you hope to get a lovely Voodoo Doll? The summer vacation sports meet will offer you the opportunity to make your dream come true. If you can find the hidden GM, one of your dreams will come true. Come on, give it a try; what do you have to loose?

 

Event Time and Location:
9:30 p.m. EDT (GMT-4) July, 17th   Mystic Ocean
9:30 p.m. EDT (GMT-4) July, 24th     Dream Island

 

Event Rules:
1. Before the event, the system will make an announcement about the available dreams for players.

2. During the event, the GM will hide in Argent City, Shaitan City, Icicle Castle or any location in the game. Players can find the GM according to the system prompts.

3. The GM will send players a private message after they meet the player. The player can reply to the GM and choose one dream. And then, the GM will give the item to the player.

4. Players should leave after the trade. Other players should stand in order. Players are unable to cut in line or draw items repeatedly.

 

Note:
1. Players are unable to send the GM a private message or trade with the GM. The GM will send players a private message according to the line. Remember to be in order. Otherwise, you will be disqualified.

2. Each bout of the event will last 20 minutes. And then the GM will go to the next location. Players can begin to find the GM according to the system prompts.

3. The event contains 3 bouts and will last 1 hour. Players can take part in each bout. You have a chance to make your dream come true once you find the GM.
