Its 10 years now since
I started as an underground-mc performer and even though I'd always think and
say..o I've seen it all-i know I should bite my tongue....
Cause of the bad
experience and treatment I had on Tuesday I feel more then morally obligated to
speak about this whole Voodoo Lizards (young band from
Varazdin)/Špancirfest Varazdins biggest
festival) situation.....

A few months ago I made it clear to my manager
how I can handle this alone since we all know each other here and cause of
close relations with people involved in this organization.....
I agreed to perform in behalf of dear friends
and fans of my work (including my mother who hasn't seen me perform the last 5
years) and so on, and so on....

HUGEEE MISTAKEEE!....

In the Špancirfest brochure it was clearly
stated how my performance was scheduled for 19.00 pm and even though I found it
funny to perform in front of the sound
guy lol I made my peace with it,like o.k so what-stupid !but whatever.......
.. ..
Since more people got interested I thought o.k
so it's not just me and the d.j and the sound guy, were having people come to
the show and it's actually going to be better then I thought.....

Monday morning!....
.. ..
Phone call from one of the organizers:....
.. ..
I've been told I'm performing at 22:00pm....
Like... we want lot's of people to be present
at your show and we are making an' effort to have you perform at that time!....
I said: wonderful o.k,you guys should have told
me before but thank you anyways I'll let everyone know!....
I'm in a good mood, having people informed
through media, friends and so on even though it's a day before this big event!....

Couple of hours later.......
Another info about the time schedule!....
And here is what I get (not aware of what goes
on at the time)....

Voodoo Lizards had us
informed how they are not planning to change their t.s for the show and how you
should perform before them so they go on as planed!....

I said: Are you joking?....
I just got everyone informed.
What’s this all about?....
.. ..
O.k now wait..here's a band with a couple songs,
just formed and they are letting me now......
Ammm o.k ,o.k ....
Again-whatever!....
To sum this up after exhausting few hours of they said you should I snapped......
And said.....

It's me or them!....

I was so mad and couldn't believe my ears what
was going on and what pressure was put on me and other's performing cause of those guys!....

Tuesday-day of performance!....
.. ..
Starting as I opened my eyes in the morning....
.. ..
Phone calls sounding like:....
they will LET YOU HAVE
if you....
.. ..
WTF????????????....
Am I on candid camera?....
Is this a big joke?....
.. ..
OMG!....
I get my manager fully included cause now I'm
at the point of breaking stuff!....
.. ..
Same situation happened with the sound check:....
Now..no then..no now..no then!....
Are you people out of your minds?....
Who's playing with me?....

So I arrive at the sound check approx at 16:00
with my d.j sitting backstage and I realize that the V.Lizards are not done
yet!....
.. ..
Suddenly I have people (organizers, bands)approaching
me with this mad expressions on their face like:....
I'm going to kill those guys...everyone is
crazy with the shit happening these few days concerning them!....
.. ..
I made it clear how I'm staying away of
confronting them or otherwise this day is not ending well.....
.. ..
Finally their done with the sound check. I’m climbing
on stage and even though with a bad taste
in my mouth I greet them yet without delight.....
.. ..
Believe me guys,after all that I was
thinking-just let me get through the performance and goodbye to this whole
event -forever!....
Frikin' band,frikin' organizers !....

So last info is: I'm performing at 21.30 as the
big stars lol requested....
o.k!....
.. ..
I'm arriving at 20:00 pm backstage chilin and
so!....
My d.j and manager are there with me,we are
talking ‘bout the whole situation yet also glad it's all over.....
.. ..
BITEE MYYY TONGUEEE-AGAIN!....
.. ..
Suddenly -commotion and one of the organizers running
up to us sweaty and crazy saying:....
Please guys ..go talk to them cause I can't do
it anymore!....
I said. What happened?....
.. ..
Well they want you off stage at 2200!....
I'm so stupid asking: who?....
Voodoo frikiinnn''' Lizards!!!....
.. ..
My manager gets up goes talking to one of their
employees mr. Hax lol (to the manager I guess), comes back and says: don’t
worry!....
.. ..
Everything goes as planed!....
.. ..
My performance for that evening counted some 30
minutes in songs or 40 minutes on stage if you like –that's how it goes if your
not one of those entertaining the crowd with jokes lol....

I'm getting up on stage as planned and after
the first song I say:....

I wasn't shore If I
would perform yet......
I'm dedicating this
show-this evening to my mother 1....
(cause I knew she would be way to disappointed
if I didn't perform and I didn’t' want to have that happen cause of „nobodies“)....

Man I got emotional when saying that cause in
the front row she screamed like crazy when I said that and with everything
going on lately in our lives this came as a surprise to her!....
.. ..
Somewhere in the middle of the show I get these
insulting words being thrown my way, and cursing my mother's name didn't help either.
Should I mention they seemed as one of those stupid V.L fans waiting for
rock&roll and since I represent anything but that these teenagers found the
strength to boooo me of stage?!....
.. ..
On that I said cynically :....
There’s no better
place to perform then in my home town!....
.. ..
I tried to get the guy on stage but he acted as
if he can't pass through the security lol!....
.. ..
Anyway.......
Somewhere about 21:55pm Mr. Hax comes to my
manager saying I should get off stage as the young mama's boys should be
getting up..the drummer climbed up ( I wasn't aware at the time) and started
messing around drums. I don't know!....
.. ..
My manager’s words were:....
No one is getting up
or down and don't you dare try to do anything....
Show some little
respect as she should be done very soon!....
.. ..
So have in mind I wasn't aware until after the
show how crazy they started acting and disrespectful as if they are this huge
thing and we are all their little supporting bands!....

Few days later I find out that Saša Maček (the
drummer) calls out my name on national television saying I was disrespectful
and things like that!....
