Maybe if I call them goals, my efforts to make them happen will last longer than a New Years Resolution. 5 days in and I think I am doing pretty well. So here they are in no particular order:
1. brush teeth and wash off make-up before bed every night. simple right? why do i hate doing this?
2. cut down on carbinated drinks. thus far 1 1/2 cans o' pop since last Tuesday, pretty good, pretty good. I have been chugging the water.
3. reconnect with friends. (very proud of this one. Since the new years we have gone to game night at Kearns, Went out to eat with our lovely Matt and Maria, and I had a girls night with Amanda and Stephanie ). Now we just need to get people over here. So if you want to be part of that, let me know.
4. get fit. this one is going to be the one i want to back out of most, but it will be hard because my ever so sweet sister signed me up to do a mini marathon with her in April. 13.1 miles here i come. But I will most likey be walking the majority of it but hey that still is impressive in my book. so far I havent missed a workout or training for it. Go ME! If anyone would like to join me in the gym, I could go for some company.
5. grow my hair out again. I want it back to ponytail long like in high school.
Thats it. 5 little goals. Gonna do it! I am determined!

Got the newest Rolling Stone today. Jack Johnson on the cover (yum). There was a little section where Rod Stewert said he wanted to do a Blues album (Muddy Waters type blues) with the Black Keys playing back up. Can I just tell you I would buy the shit out of that! I really hope it happend. The article on Jack was pretty good too. And Erica Badu (sp) is supposed to be coming out with a very political album as well. Yah who!
I am also SUPER EXCITED about this new show on NBC that is coming on called Quarterlife.

With the new year comes more motivation to be productive and make a healthy change in bettering myself. On the outside, i think i am going to cut my hair. I was letting it grow our but i feel it doesnt look as "polished" or as mature as it could. Now i dont want a Mom haircut but I think I need to let go of wanting it back like i had it in high school. I also want to be more healthy. Nickolas does a good job of making food that is but i could use a little exercise, so if you ever need a walking buddy or what not Hey i am your gal! I am also very motivated to be better in my career. I rearranged my room to make room for more developmental centers, and even bought a lesson plan book, watch out now. I am starting a class in March to beome CDA certified and hopefully will go into college full on in Aug in hopes of getting out of the "really poor pay bracket". I love what I do but know that I have potiental to do it better. Nickolas and i have also shared a desire to get reconnected with friends, so if you ever want to hang out, call. Nick is currently working 2 jobs, but we will try to wrok something out. Oh and MARSEE I promise one day we will get together! Poor thing has tried for many weekeds and we never get it right. He also loves to cook so let me know if you ever want to come over and have dinner, and maybe a game night (or Dinner Party to be more adult like). I was just wasting time rambling but seriously, i have become a homebody and am eager to get out so let me know if you need someone to do anthing or even nothing with. And i wll try and return the favor too. Oh oh oh and did you hear NKOTB are reuniting!! I am so excited!

so i went and bought a couple of books for my birthday. I got Eric Clapton's autobiography and Wonderful Tonight by Pattie Boyd. i had to take the Clapton one back because my dad sent it to me as a present. So i started with the other one first. It is aboutPattie who was married to George Harrison, and Eric Clapton. Layla, Wonderful Tonight, Bell Bottom Blues, and Old Love were about her. Eric seduced her away from George. It is a really great book. George was much more nice compared to Eric but he was really into the alcohol at the time. Neither were very faithful but both amazing musicians. It is an Awesome book, and I am really looking forward to finishing it (I am right now to the point where she and Eric have just gotten married b/c Eric made a bet that a friend of his couldnt get him in the newspaper so the friend said he was getting married) so that I can start to read Eric CLaptons point of view on the relationship as well as everything else he has gone through. Anyway just wanted to share my excitement about my current readings.

This past weekend was one of the best i have had in a while. I got to go out with some of the girls from work and see The Devil Wears Prada, which I loved!. It was a blast hanging out with so many sweet and fun people. After I caught up with Nickolas and Matt for a drink. I cant explain how lucky I am to have them. Nickolas is of course the love of my life, and Matt is Matt, the boy I grew up with and share a huge bond with. Those two (and a couple others) are the center of my "family*", (you know those that arent related to you but will be a part of your life till the end, and help define who you are and will be). The next day Matt invited us to the lake. The drive down and back were a blast. Anytime you ride with the windows down, it gives you this undescribable feeling. I dont know. It could have also been the fact that Matt drive like a maniac. Anyway, i discovered that I freak out when i get in a lake (dont know why, something to do with its too deep), but all in all it was a blast.
Nick and I got up the next day and went to Kings Island, and acted like big dorks all day. It had been so long since we have gotten to just spend a day together away from everyday things. It was well needed and enjoyed. It got me excited even more about being married to him and getting to spend everyday of my life being loved for being a dork.
Then my brother called and we had one of our heart to heart talks that i can only have with him.He shared his views on a lot that i am going through. We also talked about the tattoos we are going to be getting (always exciting). It was well needed too and wrapped up my weekend very well.

Current mood: annoyed
So I was standing in line for the bathroom at McCarthys when I hear the two girls beside me talking.
-"God if some girls weren't such sluts, may we could have faithful boyfriends."
-"oh god yeah, if some of these whore could keep their legs closed I bet guys wouldnt cheat so much."
Please tell me what kind of messed up logic is that? I was seriously in the worst mood after hearing that. How can people be so stupid? Maybe if you didnt pick the assholes who cant keep their dick in their pants, you wouldnt have that problem. Or better yet, when they cheat, get rid of the boy. I dont know I needed to vent about how stupid some girls can be.
