Hey all. As some of you (here in Dallas especially) may know, the title track to our new album, 'The Science of Loss' has been getting some airtime on the Local Show on 102.1 The Edge.

Well, in addition to the radio play, we are currently finishing up a music video for The Science of Loss. It will most likely be done and available for all your viewing pleasure by the middle of next week.  Keep your eyes open for it...

In other news, we have just recently signed up with Hitt Music Group. They are a placement company, so you could very well hear some of our music in a new movie or tv show soon... We will keep you posted about all that stuff as it happens.

We are currently participating in two different Battle of the Bands. First, we are in the running for the Ernie Ball stage at Warped Tour '09. Click here to vote for this battle. You have to sign in to FameCast to vote, but it's very simple to sign up. You can vote once a day, so please vote everyday! Make sure you also view our FameCast page and become our friend there too!

The second battle is the Briggs & Stratton Battle of the Bands. We are competing to play on one of the biggest music festivals in the world, Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Click here to vote for us in this battle. You can vote 10 times a day and all you need is an email address. Scroll down to the music player on the page and find (or search for) With These Words and vote!

Well, we haven't done a new blog in a long fucking time... Here's a quick update on what is going down with With These Words.  For those of you who don't know yet, we have a new guitarist. His name is Justin Golden and he has been a phenomenal addition to the band.  We have been busy writing new material and whatnot... We are currently about to go into the studio to record an 8 song cd. It will be called "The Science of Loss" so keep your eyes and ears open for it's release. We have also just changed the look and feel of this site, so we hope that you like it.  Keep checking back to see what kind of shows we have going on and other things that we are doing.  Hope to see y'all at the shows!

Hey everyone out in Myspace land...

We just wanted to take a little time and let you all know what is going on with the band.

We just got home from a killer weekend in Houston and San Antonio.  We played Fitzgeralds in Houston and had a blast on Friday night.  Thanks to everyone who was able to catch our set that night.

We then drove to San Antonio to play at Bonds 007 on Saturday.  That was kick ass! Thanks to everyone who was there and enjoyed our show.  Even with my (Phil) little string fiasco, it was still a great show!! We are really looking forward to going back.

We had a kick ass time and we just can't wait until we get to do it again. We will see you all soon!

Much love

Hey everyone.  Here's just some of the things that have been going on lately.

We are currently trying to figure out a song to cover.  We would like you, the fans, to help us out.  All we need for you to do is to send us an email with a song title and the band that originally wrote/recorded the song.  We would like to do a "party" song, but we will read all submissions and will pick the one that we like the best.  If we pick the song you suggest, who knows... maybe you'll get some free stuff...

Also, on a little side note, we are currently in the process of recording a few new songs, with the help of a friend who is taking an audio recording class.  Look for the new tracks within the next couple of weeks.

We are also working on getting new t-shirts printed and ready for you all.  We'll let you know when we have them ready.  We will also be setting up a way for all you guys who do not live in Dallas, Tx to buy our merch online.

After over a year without it, www.withthesewords.com is finally back up!  It is still under construction, but very soon it will up and running, so be sure to check on it every once in a while!  This also means that we will begin to do our newsletter again, so keep an eye out for information on that.

That's it.

this is what will apear in this month's Harder Beat. With These Words – 3 Song Demo
With These Words is a great new alternative rock / modern rock band from the Dallas area. 18 year old female singer Jessi Golden fronts the band with a very powerful and unique vocal style. Rounding out the band is Jose Serrato (guitar), Jan Schefferlie (guitar) and Michael Villarreal (drums). This three song CD is a great mix of hard and furious rock with laid back melodies. It’s quite an experience. Sweet singing is mixed in with blood curdling screams. “Take Me Away” is a very well written track that would easily fit in with the material you hear on current day modern rock radio. Tracks “The Morning After” and “Just Inhale” also have a distinct flavor in the mode of what is happening today in rock. With a powerful live show that is talked about around town, I think we will be hearing a lot from With These Words in the future. -John Binder
