Time to hit the road again this August. It will be hot, the gas prices will be high, and the rock will be brought. If everything goes according to plan we will have live video with our set and have a new drummer with us on the road. I'm going to record Bananahands next weekend. They will bring it down as sure as apple pie is a terrorist conspiracy! Bring earplugs.

So yes... long time no update. We are in New England. It is cold. We will play music in March in MA, RI, and NY (see picture). You should be there. Because we love you. Changes. Daniel Murphy may well be doing live video processing. Also, the fabulous Todd Bowser will be joining us with a combination of bass, guitar, and keys. Ohhhh.. its gonna be cool!
Also, we will get a different song from the album up in a day or so... so....

Is a really great venue in South Gate, Michigan (just outside of Detroit). Great sound system and sound guy. Great People. It was the last show of our tour and one of the best. Thanks so much to everyone involved, we can't wait to return!

... was generally pleasant. We stayed a few days with my sister in Santa Cruz (the set of the movie The Lost Boys... the amusement park was gaudy and the vampires cave is under a bridge just down the street from where we stayed). We had a great show in San Fran with our new friends in Foxtail Somersault. Reno was a strange town that happened to have a huge biker convention in it when we were there. Them new Boss Hog V8's sure are burly bikes! A show in Fallon, then in Denver with a cool melodic mathy band called Pena. Jumped on a bill in Lawrence with Zombi who we have played with before. They are great guys and they tote some serious prog intensity with them where ever they go. Also on the bill was a one man act called This is My Condition. He had strapped a bass to his drum kit and played it with his drums sticks while screaming into an effected mic. The end result is something like Lightning Bolt meets Bob Log III. Very nice indeed! Omaha came next with a fun little show in an ice cream shop with the group Ars Nova. Then some Iowa shows with Petracovich, Death Ships, and Stephanie Rearick. Stephanie is from Madison and is absolutely incredible. One of the best musicians I've seen on tour. I can't wait to meet up with her again. You should check out her music at: http://myspace.com/stephanierearick Now we are back in Iowa City gearing up for two more shows and the drive to Providence. Hope to see all the East Coast folk again soon!

Was an absolute blast. Thanks so much to Frank, Adrian, Tiffany, and Robert for putting us up, playing music, and showing us the town. Thanks to all of The Lights From Here for being great musicians and great people. I would have never imagined LA would be so much fun.

So the List Exists boys are harassing me to update this thing. I've been wanting to honestly but the vast emptiness of middle America and the mountains of Oregon don't allow for much free open wifi access. Aberdeen SD was a lot of fun. We played four dates with our new friends The Luna Moth in Seattle, Portland, Salem, and Olympia. Every memeber of Marah Mar has their own favorite Pacific northwest city. We are in LA (on Hoollywood Blvd at the moment) about to play the Knitting Factory. I am very excited! LA is ridiculous but it is sunny and it is hard not to be in a good mood despite the rampant commercialism. Sunny and 70! My god.. We will be heading back across the nation in a week and will land in our new house in Providence RI. Looking forward to a stove to cook on and a van that doesn't stink like last night canned tuna dinner!

Well, I have about a week and a half of tour journal to catch up on. Some disasters occured that prevented me from spending to much time with the computer: 1) Van's transmission got cloged with metal shards. about a hundred fifty in repairs plus another 100 for a hotel room (normally we camp but with out a car in Akron OH...) 2) Mike K.'s 1954 Gretsch broke in the van in NYC. It had an old headstock repair and on a hot day with the added oven factor of the concrete jungle, the adheasive came loose. Since the neck was already twisting and the guitar has no truss rod, it looks like it is good bye for the body (pickup is still salvagable). Mike spent a bunch of money he doesn't have getting a replacement guitar that is not nearly as nice as what he had. 3)Show cancelled in NJ with a lousy show in Philadelphia (skip The Manhatten Room if you are on the road). 4) $100 dollar parking ticket along the way. damn fire hydrants. 5) This friggin war... damn gas prices... so.. yes, we are in a little rough shape but we continue forward. West Coast booking is starting to shape up and I am very excited since I have never since the majority of the pacific coast line. Denver looks like fun too! We may play a benefit for The Little Village next Friday at the Sanctuary so we will keep you posted. Tour journal updates to come.

Boston on Monday night. The Middle East Club is a massive Boston club with three stages. We played in the upstairs, the medium sized of the rooms. Free food and beer is a huge plus to this place if you are on the road. Sound system was phenomenal.. people were friendly and even though we opened, there was a good number of people in the room. The List Exists stepped far outside there normal rock bounds for a free form noise jam with processed banjos, bowed guitars, bells, and turntables. Ebb and Flow were a three piece with guitar, drums, and a farfisa/moog. They played solid rock songs with a crisp sound. The evening was closed out by Abernathy; a nice and friendly group of local rock musicians.
