Welcome to Pieholden Suite Sound a 24 track analog recording studio and musical clubhouse of Jay Bennett and Matt DeWine. After many years in Chicago the studio has moved two hours south to Champaign IL. During the past year of construction we took advantage of the down time by letting our technician restore and modify some of our large collection of vintage analog recording gear. Two of the larger projects were recapping all 6 of our Altec 1567a tube mic preamps and a complete rebuild of the Sony MCI JH24 2" 24 track tape machine. He also wired the entire studio with Gepco cable and ADC 96 Point TT bantam patchbays.

The records we've made in the new space sound great and the musicians have really been able to work well in the comfortable atmosphere the studio offers. We have a lot more gear and instruments than are pictured or listed so if there is something specific you're looking for just ask. After a year of construction we are very excited to be operational and recording again. The studio was designed from the ground up with the musician in mind.
