Thanks to everone who came to the show last night, with your support we were able to make it past the first round of this year's verge showdown! A special congratulations to A Class Act and The Urban Achievers who also advanced!
Look for a show or two before we play the second round of the battle of the bands, and look for merch in the very near future.

It's the first show at verge's new venue and it's also a show in the first round of the 2006 Verge Showdown! We'll be playing with Tragedy Andy, The Urban Achievers, The Rage, Thunder Punch, Cats and Condors, and A Class Act.

Plenty of fun and surprises in store for this show so BE THERE!

 

Oh...and be really to mosh the hell out of the night.

Hey guys, so we've been accepted into the verge showdown battle of the bands, our first show is June 9th at the new San Rafael Venue. This is going to be our last show / few shows (depending on how long we stay in) with our lead guitarist, Ryan. It is undecided whether we will be finding a new lead or what the future of this band is, but none the less, ryan will be leaving us after this summer. SO PLEASE come and support us at battle of the bands/our last few concerts with ryan. He says hi : )

So we WERE going to record a four song demo last week but we ran into some unfortunate circumstances, a friend (whom we shall not name but refer to as Cosh Jobia) borrowed several of our microphones about a month ago and is yet to return them, and now has lost them.
Cosh will be replacing the mikes and we'll MOST LIKELY be starting recording on the demo next week. That's only if cosh gets us our mikes back. We won't be recording untill we get those mikes so please tell Cosh to get us our mikes back DAMNIT!

So it's been awhile since the blog has been updated. So what's new in the world of Early Mourning? Well if you check the lineup thing on the side of the myspace, you'll see we have a new bassist and drummer. Gabe and Paul are both great and we look forward to long and successful future with them.
We're playing the Verge (once again) in Novato on feb. 17th, Its the verge "High School Band Showcase!" and it currently looks like we'll be headlining so EVERYBODY MUST GO! This will be are first electric show we're headlining, so we'd appreciate it if you showed up.
    We're working desperately hard on new material and should have a set of mostly new stuff ready for the gig on the 17th so get excited!
    We're starting the minor, MINOR, stages of recording a demo, but don't look for it for at least a few months.
    Anyone who lives in Santa Rosa, we're looking into booking shows up there so get ready to recieve the rock!

Yeah so here's the laydown:
Matt recently suffered an injury to his lip which will prevent him from singing for at least a month. SO looks like we're going to spend that time writing music/practicing/booking more shows and what not.
