Got the disc, but not the insert? Type this in your browser: http://wirehouse.110mb.com/happyvd.rtf Mysp Ace isn't liking the links, so you gotta do it yourself. There are a limited number of physical copies left (and they're going pretty fast)—contact if you want one or three. $5 USD It's nearly an hour of schizophrenic cuts for those with ears suffering from ADHD. Glitch to Harsh Noise; Tonal Waves to Chipcore and more across 69 tracks. Yes, that's right, 69 tracks.

I just finished a new release, "CFSM." It's 10 minutes of harsh, ear-blistering noise created to sort of make-up for the production delays that have been (and still are) holding back the "Re-Inventor" release.

It's limited to 50 copies - all in special hand-made sleeves.

It will be available tonight at Shadows and Sound IV as well as through the mail via FFR (or.. um.. in person).

UPDATE:
The limit was shifted to 10 copies due to finances, time, and shit. All are out now.
It will likely be digitized for a CD-R release or something in the future; word on that if/when it happens.

Due to the fact that this release will, by choice, only be distributed at shows, and/or as a face-to-face trade, I've decided to revoke its pending submission to the FFR Netlabel.

I see this as more of an art project than a music project, since each copy will be a one-of-a-kind, and would rather it not clog up the FFR listing, giving the appearance of something that might, in some form, become an online release of sorts.

The first run will be available at some point in October, but possibly November, depending on booking.

Current mood:  productive

It's been decided to kill off the "Great Movers and Shakers of the 20th Century" project due to the following reasons:
"Great Movers and Shakers of the 20th Century" is a really long name for an album title and writing/typing it repeatedly becomes tedious pretty fast.
The title of the project's new direction is "Re-Inventor."
Since the project is based on collaged live noise, (the "songs" overlap each other, cut-off sharply, and change direction constantly) the name felt appropriate.

Keeping the run time shorter makes for a less boring release overall.
While this isn't always true, it often does help.

It takes less time to create one-off's of c60 releases than c90 releases.
Thirty minutes of difference. That could be one full side dubbed during the time it takes for a c90 to finish up.

Completely decimated my record player and microphone at the 612noise release show. The record player was found at a thrift store for about $7, the mic was from some former neighbors who were/are in Austin Healy (never heard em, but supposedly great if you're into the CCR bar scene).

The belt drive tore off during transport which wasn't a problem - just pulled the needle across some self-altered records - eventually just thumbing the needle until it fell off. Sounded fuckin great.

The mic was wrapped around the turn table plate, and banged against the ground. Sounded alright, but not as loud as I'd have wished - especially since it broke some of the casing on the mic itself.

It was the record player's first show. Makes it that much more tragic that I forgot to record the set.

Rapeworm is a series of altered LPs to be distributed by my netlabel, findit-fuckit-recordit around late May/early June.

The point of the project is to make unlistenable shit (ie: children's records, Phil Collins) interesting by physically altering the surface of the vinyl. This results in a series of abrassive sounds and (sometimes humorous) lock-grooves.

Like the Snacks For Tapeworms tape release, no two copies will be exactly alike - each copy will be the only of its kind in existence.
The only binding features across the project will be the center labels and jackets.

So far there's no set limit on how many will be made.
Maybe 10.
Maybe 100.

For You
Originally released as part of Purple Reign's For You Compilation [Purple Tapes]

"Timmy the Tapeworm is clearly an asshole. His "songs" have absolutely no merit, even from a noise sculpture or abstract art point of view. Fuck you Timmy."
Maurice/"Fluffy," The Song Fight Network

"...listening to all the Timmy the Tapeworm songs, on their own, in the context of the individual titles, was torture enough."
"Lord of Oats," The Song Fight Network

"I think there is blood coming out of my ears"
"Sausage Boy," The Song Fight Network

Rough set list:
Meat Loaf: I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)
Defragmentation: Experiments In Jungle Part 1
The Immortals: Liu Kang (Born In China)
Venetian Snares: Vokeheads/Make Ronnie Rocket
Skinny Puppy: Scrap Yard
Jay-Z: 99 Problems (accapella)
William S. Burroughs: Where You Belong (Rewrite)/Inflexible Authority
KMFDM: Don't Blow Your Top
Fred Schneider: Monster
Alec Empire: Nobody Gets Out Alive!/My Face Would Crack
Ministry: Tonight We Murder
Timmy the Tapeworm: That Hurt (Gabcore Version)

Note: Since much of this was made w/breakcore samples, it's hard to tell the exact order. The list is a starting point for those who really dig what they hear & wanna check out the original tracks (highly suggested - there's a lotta good stuff for you to hear).

Also: Since many tracks were mashed-up, the only way you'll get to hear the exact versions again will be when the full set's released (hopefully in the next few weeks), or if I end-up releasing those specific mash-ups (like the Jay-Z/VS or VS/WSB ones).
