Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence And leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage For what resembles rage again
So if you love me let me go And run away before I know My heart is just too dark to care I cant destroy what isn't there Deliver me into my fate If I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you My smile was taken long ago If I can change I hope I never know
I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light But all of that was ripped apart... When you refused to fight
So save your breath I will not hear I think I made it very clear You couldn't hate enough to love Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend Then I could hurt you in the end I never claimed to be a Saint My own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go
So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I wont listen to your shame You ran away you're all the same Angels lie to keep control My love was punished long ago If you still care, don't ever let me know
If you still care, don't ever let me know... ------------- this is one of the best songs i've ever heard and i'm dedicating it to the bitch that was my best friend for close to 6 years until yesterday.

Only By The Night by Kings Of Leon is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard in my life and is by far the best album of 2008 for me and thats with hearing the new Oasis record and without hearing the new Keane and Snow Patrol offerings.
Only By The Night has everything in an album that I look for, but what that is I have no idea, which I think is a good thing as I feel if i knew what it was it would ruin my musical enjoyment. The closest emotion if you will I can point it to is comfort and understand, records like this always seem to comfort my soul and have an understanding on how I feel about things past, present or future. They clear my head and fill it up all at the same time, with new feelings, thoughts, ideas and emotions.
Music like this takes situations around you and gives you solutions and lets you know that someone else out there feels just like you, even if they don't. Music is great like that it means something different to different people whilst meaning the same thing all at the same time.
This album has songs that connect with me in many way and over many emotions from heartache, pain, love, sadness and emotions that haven't even got a name.
Use Somebody and Cold Desert are two tracks on this album that really stick out for me and connect with me in many ways but the whole album has grade a lyrics and lyrics that mean something. More and more I hear so called musicians coming out with material that is deemed the greatest thing ever written and the best band ever only to hear these songs and bands and once again utter the words "what a load of shit". Kings Of Leon have never been a band like that from the first time I heard them I liked them but for some reason never paid them much attention, they were just there, but with every album and song I heard I noticed that they were growing and evolving and I thought they had peaked when I heard Because Of The Times..... Oh how I was wrong.
If you know that album your know how amazing it, if you haven't heard Only By The Night you won't know that its Because Of The Times just a million times better, however both albums are in my opinion what the Kings Of Leon are, they are the albums that best represent them as people and musicians. Not that Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak aren't amazing albums because they are and contain some amazing songs, they just don't ride your emotions like BOTT or OBTN.
Of course one things for sure that by now you would have heard Sex On Fire which is one of the most catchiest songs ever released and why its hit the number one spot in the UK chart, but that song aside OBTN features 10 other songs just as good.
I personally point you in the direction of Closer, Use Somebody, Manhatten, Revelry, Notion & Cold Desert as songs to check out, now thats of course 6 of the 11 songs on the album and to be honest I could have easily just listed all 11 tracks.
Now has you can see I'm not that good at writing reviews, I have the ideas and the things I wanna say but somehow can never get them down in the right way and for that I apologize, I also hate the way the reviews are written to sound like what the writer is saying is what you must feel and say and feel that is why I struggle to write out reviews as my goal is just to get you to listen to the subject at hand.
For ME this is the best album of the year but to others it won't be, hell not everyone likes the Kings Of Leon and I know there will be Metallica fans out there that may read this and say that Death Magnetic is the best album of the year and believe me it is good and I would advise against listening to it with a headache cos that shit is loud, but Only By The Night captured me more, it took me on a journey and after several hundred listens still makes me wanna listen to it over and over.
This is one of those albums that when I heard it in full for the first time I almost cried and today after listening to it in full for like the millionth time it still gives me the same buzz, the emotions and makes me wanna cry whilst all the while throwing new things my way.
Kings Of Leon Only By The Night is one of the must have album in your life on any level but if you live with emotions that run high and low all at the same time you need this album more.
5/5

By God that was bad....
I just sat and watched the pre-season game from last night between the Patriots & the Bucs and I have to say I wasn't impressed with what I saw from my Patriots.
Now I know this is just pre-season and the games mean nothing but from what I saw of the first string on D we looked old and inexperienced. Now that statement might not make that much sense to some but if you know what the D is made up of on the Pats this year it will be so so clear to you.
Mayo did look impressive at times but missed a few tackles and didn't wrap up players as quickly as he could have done.
Vrabel looked the best player out there for us on D which is what I expected to see, but this defense is not as good as previous years and needs a ton of work.
John Lynch could be a good addition but didn't get involved all that much during the plays he was in for, but since this was only his first week with the team, I'll give him a bit of a break.
The offense was bad except for Welker who as always shines, Moss wasn't that involved but got 25 yards off 2 catches.
Cassel was so amazingly bad, I was left hoping the foot injury that Brady is nurses won't keep him out come week one, although I'm skeptical that he really does have a foot problem and if he does it's probably not as bad as its being made out to be. I really want to see Cassel removed from this team even if we need to bring someone else in, Chris Sims could be a good choice, again he isn't the best but would be a much better back up the Cassel currently is and looked impressive for the Bucs in the plays he was in for and looks to be the odd one out in that line up.
O'Connell looked OK for the first time I've seen him play, but I think a lot of work is needed with him and it left me thinking that we should have tried to get or should try and trade for Colt Brennan cos that kid is impressive (but I don't think that will happen as its gonna take something to get him off the Redskins roster).
All in all, I'm slightly worried for the season ahead if we are gonna play like that on defensive side as we couldn't tackle, stop the run and all round wrap up plays.
Offense is a slightly different beast as long as we have Brady at QB, Moss & Welker will of course have huge years again should they stay healthy.
On the other hand the Bucs looked really impressive and I would look for a good year from them if they play like they did in this game.

Super Bowl XLII this past sunday was one of the best I have seen in a long time, from kick off to till the clock hit 00:00 in the fourth qtr I was keep entertained.
The only let down was that my New England Patriots didn't stay perfect.
I have seen several posts around the internet of people laughing at this fact and I bet you that most of them support a team bumped off by the Pats this year. Its a common trend in all sports people don't like the team that wins and is successful, Manchester United and Chelsea are prime examples in soccer, the Yankees in the MLB and even on a stretch John Cena in wrestling.
Did I want to see the Pats go 19 - 0?? yeah of course I did, was I upset when we lost the game sunday?? yeah I was, but this will only fuel a fire under the players for next year and it won't stick in there minds and hearts and bring them down next year because as always they will simply move on to the next game.
The Giants played extremely well on sunday and the Patriots didn't look there normal self, both sides of the ball seemed to be lacking the fight and determination of the season just gone by, Brady didn't seem to have his normal focus and the defense didn't show up.
If I was gonna pick an MVP for the Patriots in SB42 I would have to go with Wes Welker as I would have for the whole year, Wes is an outstanding player and one of the key reasons the Patriots got a 18-1 record. Moss was outstanding all year and many reports say that if it wasn't for Moss then the Patriots wouldn't have won all those games, personally I don't see that as I feel without Welker to do the short dump off's underneath the Patriots wouldn't have gotten to where they did.
Look at Sunday, hardly no long balls made it but Welker had lots of success on the short passes and he has the ability to gain yards after the catch.
Now after the game ended I didn't stick around for the trophy presentation but found out the next day that Eli Manning had been voted the MVP of Super Bowl 42, this confused me and I will explain why.
There was no Most Valuable Player for that New Giants team on Sunday, there was however Most Valuable PlayerS.
I give my MVP award to the entire Giants D, they won the game for the Giants by simply shutting Brady and the Pats O down, I'm sure that there's people out there that would argue that with me but then thats the point of an opinion.
One thing that sprung to mind when I started reading those posts around the internet and seeing the Reebok advert where a parcel was delivered to the 72 dolphins team was if you think the Patriots where dominate this year you might not have seen nothing yet. I think this fuels the fire even more and that loss will inspire the players on to fight and work even harder next year, yes the Giants may have just put a very deadly nail into a coffin which could blow up on the NFL next year.
I'm sure many people expect to see bitter comment from Patriots fans all over the net and I'm sure there are some, but from me you won't see any, the Patriots didn't play well on Sunday and the Giants did and thats how you win games in any sport.
I support Sheffield Wednesday Football Club (soccer) so I know how it feels to not be successful and win things. Yeah it still hurts every time your chosen team loses but the key conclusion I have always come to is that theres always next week or in the case of the New England Patriots there's always next year.
Congratulations to the New York Giants on winning Super Bowl 42.
