Hey guys,

I'm really REALLY bummed, but unfortunately, I'm going to have to cancel the show in Indiana coming up on November 21st.  I hate having to cancel ANY show, but I don't really have a choice with this one.

This probably sounds worse than it is, but a few years ago, I shattered two of my teeth on a metal bar, and at the time, I was so young, the nerves in my teeth hasn't finished developing.  The last couple days, I've been in a lot of pain, and I found out today that I am going to have some emergency dental surgery coming up.

Unfortunately, the way things fall into place with my doctor, this operation will not allow me to be able to perform on the 21st. 

I am so sorry to all of you who had planned on coming out to the show next weekend - I will do my best to make this up to you!!!

Although this is a complete and total bummer, this will give me some time and a great opportunity to continue writing and hopefully get some new music out to you guys early next year.  Thanks for supporting "It Girl" and for continuing to stand by me - through dental operations and all!  You guys rock my world.  I miss you all!

Hey everyone!

As some of you know, earlier this year, I recently went out to Los Angeles, California and had the opportunity to work with some great people who really believe in me and offered me an opportunity to record a song called “It Girl”.

Since then, we have released the song digitally worldwide and “It Girl” is now available as a digital download across the world on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and digital music retailers everywhere.  If you haven't heard the song yet, you can go to http://www.myspace.com/chriskoon or of course pick it up it at one of those fine online retailers. ;) haha

The response to the song has been incredible, especially for it being my first.

We really want to get the song heard by as many people as possible. That being said, we would really like to have the song played on Radio Disney, but we need your help! This is a big task (but one that together we can accomplish!), and I really need the support and help of all of my friends and family to make this happen.

Without the support of a major record label, it is going to rely on word of mouth to help get this song to take off. That’s where you guys come in. We’re asking you all to request the song as often as humanly possible on Radio Disney. It’s pretty simple. Here’s how it works:

1) Go to
2) Click the button that says “Can’t Find My Song/Artist”
3) Type in Chris Koon – “It Girl” and then fill out the rest of the form

Or you can CALL IN!  The phone number is 1-877-870-5678. If they tell you that they don’t have “It Girl” on their playlist yet, tell them that you’d love to see them add it. Just be upbeat and friendly – remember the station is for kids, teens, and parents, so it’s all about fun!

I'm performing in what will be a dream come true show for me on Wednesday!!!  It's always been a dream of mine to perform in California and now I'm finally getting to live that dream!!!

I'm performing at the OC Super Fair for not 1, but 2 special performances!  There is some local media that will be doing a special feature on my show and it would be awesome if as many people as possible came decked out with signs, shirts, and getting as Koon-ed out as possible!!!  We need to show the OC how crazy we can get!!! :)



Let me know if you guys can make it out!!!  I am so excited about this show and it would mean the world to me if you guys all came out!!!

Plus, it's at the OC FAIR!!!  Rides, food, fun...it's gonna rock!! SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!

I'm SO psyched to finally be writing this blog!

I wanted to write it as more of an explanation than anything, since to a lot of you, this may be completely out of the blue!  

The past few months, I've been writing with some different songwriters, collaborating, working on ideas for some music, and even writing for some other artists, and trying to find my own place in the music world. 

A lot of performers get flack because they want to do acting AND music, but the reality of it is, a lot us got our start in theater, and grew up doing both.  For me, it's no different.  Who says you can't have more than one passion?

I wanted to keep it quiet and let what I'm working on speak for itself.  I wanted to make sure that I was working on something that I could be proud of, and wasn't just putting something out to put it out.  I wanted to make sure the time was right, and that I felt good about what I was doing.  Well, that time has finally come, and now I’m gearing up to release my first song!

The song is called "It Girl" and I can't wait for you guys to hear it!  It's a really fun, high energy, pop/rock song with a little bit of an electronic feel too. 

I'm working with an amazing team of people and I'm just so pumped to actually have music that I can call my own and be really psyched about!

Hey guys!  I'm excited to let you guys know that I've been spending some time this month working on my first feature film!  If you've read my bulletins, follow me on Twitter, or subscribe to my SayNow, you probably already know that, but if you're totally in the dark, this is for you...lol!

The movie is called Bloomington and you could say it's a drama with a little romance thrown in…hahaha.  We just started filming at the start of this month, and I don't want to give too much away yet, because in all honesty, I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say, but I can say that I'm really excited...hahaha!  I just have a small role in the film - I'm playing a college student that goes to school with the main character, but I'm psyched beyond belief to be working on this movie!  There are some really powerful scenes, and I’m just really excited for everyone to see it once it comes out.

If you wanna check out the IMDB.com page, it would be awesome if you guys could take a second to post on the messageboard and show some support.  Make sure to let them know you/re excited to see the film!  Maybe I'll try to get some footage from the set so you guys can see a little behind-the-scenes action too.  Anyway, check it out!  I'm gonna get some sleep because tomorrow is my first day back on set this week, and we've had insanely early call times, so sleep is key...hahaha.  Have an awesome night - I'll write again soon!

What's UPPPPPPPPPPP!

It's really cold outside so that's translating to me not being able to sleep and writing a new blog!  It's been a while though, so I"m probably due for some good bloggage.

(Keep in mind I also have a blog for charity at www.theonelove.org/chriskoon which helps raise money for my charity of choice every time you read it, so make sure you're reading that one too!)

So I know it's been insanely quiet around here lately, but I assure you I'm still alive and doing well.

I've spent the last month or so at home (well, sorta...hahaha) driving back and forth to LOTS of auditions.  It's been freezing outside so getting up in the morning has been rough, but it's been a lot of fun and I've gotten to meet some really great and talented people lately going to these auditions.  It's crazy how many people are trying to chase their dreams of becoming performers too, and the fact that you guys are supporting ME is the coolest thing in the world!!!  THANKS A MILLION.  Seriously.  Rock on.

I'm going to New York in a couple weeks to host a benefit for this awesome charity called One is Greater Than None.  There are a bunch of bands performing...my friends Push Play are gonna be there, plus Saving Jane, Tamarama (w/ Jay from The City on MTV), WOW, and one of my favorite musicians...Graham Colton.  I saw Graham twice opening for Kelly Clarkson so I'm beyond psyched to be doing a show with him!  It's gonna be awesome!!!  (And oh yeah...there are some other special guests that will be coming as well ;) but I can't say who yet...)  Plus, all the money we raise goes to their charity too, which raises money for needy kids in Ghana, Africa.  Amazing cause, amazing show to come.  BE THERE!!!  I can't wait!  You can get tickets on Ticketmaster.

I saw the new Jonas Brothers movie tonight and I'm ridiculously proud of them.  It brought back some awesome memories and hopefully there will be more to come.  Congrats, guys!

So there's a quick update.  I know reading my blog you'd probably think I'm some crazy kid who's way too hyper for his own good, but who says there's anything wrong with that?  Hang tight...this summer's gonna be awesome. 

PS. New Kelly Clarkson record is sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.  Girl can SAAAAANG.

And oh yeah, I would like to meet Danielle Fishel for my birthday, so if you or anyone you know can make that happen, you will be my hero.

Wow, first off, I just want to thank everybody who voted for me in the FanGap Choice Awards!!!  It was my first time ever even being nominated for anything as a performer and I was up against such huge people (that I'm also a fan of), I didn't think I had any chance in the world of winning...but wow, THANK YOU!

It was a huge honor to even be nominated, and to be honest, I didn't even know I was until I went to vote for a friend of mine that was nominated in a different category, hahaha!  I saw my name on the ballot and was so surprised to even be nominated, and then to see how many of you have been so supportive, especially with me being an independent performer, was probably one of the coolest things ever!!!

Thanks to everybody - old or new - who has been supporting me.  I know I have a long way left to go until I get to where I wanna be, but I think part of the fun is getting there.  THANKS FOR VOTING, FOR BELIEVING IN ME, AND FOR PUSHING ME TO KEEP GOING!!!!
