Check out our backingvocalsection voicing their contribution to a collaboration with Half Pint on a Sly and Robbie riddim in Harry J studio, Kingston, Jamaica. "Rastaman Vibration" and "Catch a Fire" were recorded there...talk about hallowed ground!

On August 3 five members of the Tribe are going to Jamaica (me, Bamma B + the backup singers) The invitation comes from radio DJ and worldrenowned reggaecritic Howard Hendriks who has put together a 10 day PR-tour in Jamaica with interviews with both radio and TV + live appearances from coast to coast + the startup of possible collaborations and recordings with Jamaican artists. We are honoured and excited by this great, great opportunity to spread our music and message across the land where the music we love so much stems from. Watch this space for developments!

Just like to announce that Elijah Prophet (JAM) will be our guest on our upcoming album "Roots" which will be released here in Sweden and through our website www.urbantribestockholm.com on April 15. Just got Elijah's overdubs sent to me from Jamaica today and it sounds awesome - something to look forward to!
Soon come!
Adam

Many things have happened lately! Apart from the fact that the recording sessions for our upcoming album are coming along extremely nicely there are a couple of changes in our lineup to report. Steve Nilsson (drums) is no longer a member of the tribe. His replacement will be posted shortly. Also we have a brand new member - Sven Wikström on keyboards. This does not mean by any means that Frank Rönningen has left the band - far from it! It's just that Frank is a very busy fulltime musician and to solve this we found the solution of asking Sven (who has substituted Frank on a bunch of gigs this year) to join in aswell. Sven is a great organ / pianoplayer and it's already been plain to see in the recording of the new album that he and Frank compliment each other fantastically. We wouldn't want to be without either one of them! We will be posting some new songs shortly and we will soon be announcing who the new drummer will be.
More to come...the new album is by far our best work to date so stay tuned!
Bless,
Adam Atterby

Last week we laid down the drums and bass for our next album, entitled "Natural", and I got to say that I have a definite feeling that history is in the making...the songs feel very powerful indeed. So far all the recording has taken place in mine and Charlotte's home in Ingarö (my stepdaughter's bedroom is where the drums were set up and right now we're laying down vocals in our closet...such is the life in the jet-set life of a poor but globally recognised reggaeband...no money to be made here, that's for sure...) Anyway - all you've heard so far is just a simple beginning for what's to come, I feel it in every bone in my body that THIS IS THE ONE!
More later,
Adam Atterby, Urban Tribe Stockholm

Greetings,
We've done a few shows lately and the following week will see the release of the new and slightly improved version of "Soul Rebel" as a single to Swedish radio. The new version of the song will for a limited time be available for free download on our website www.urbantribestockholm.com The first week of July the recording sessions for our next album will be started - the songs are written and I gotta say that we all believe this new album will be by far the greatest thing we've accomplished so far. I know most aritists say that about their new albums...but this time it is really true!
Also in the news - a few more shows for our fans in Germany coming up... stay tuned!
Adam

It's been in the works for some time but now it's final: we will be signed to the label Braah Produktion and distributed by none other than Bonnier Amigo here in Sweden. Braah Produktion is legendary Swedish reggaeband Kalle Baah's own label which they up to now solely have used for releasing their own albums. To have them take such an interest in us and believing in us the way that they do is indeed an honour for us. Releasedate is Wednesday February 21. We will be launching a campaign through promotioncompany Skiva in Gothenburg to get Urban Tribe Stockholm spread through radio, TV-stations and through the press. Those of you who live in Scandinavia can now pre-book the album through CDON.com and Ginza.se; here are the links: http://www.ginza.se/index.aspx?dp=1&artnr=32931 http://www.cdon.com/main.phtml?navroot=902&session=1
Will keep you posted
Adam
