Yo.

We have just posted a new recording on Myspace and ReverbNation. The song is called "End of the Old Times" and it was written about 4 years ago by Steve Larson, our dad. We recorded it here at the Warehouse and mixed and mastered at Colorado Sound with JP and Tom.

In addition to Seth, Josh and Trevor, you will also hear Quana Johnson, Amanda Capper, and Steve Larson singing, as well as Squaredogg, a.k.a. Chris Woodward, on the tamborine.

You may also hear another guest speaker in the bridge...

Thanks so much for all the support and kind words. We love you all.

Almost exactly one month ago in the midst of pounding rain, in the heart of the already flooded Iowa City, 30 minutes away from our show time, my cell phone almost exploded with dozens of texts coming through saying "You f**king won!!!" and "congrats boys" and so on. We were soaking wet and 1000 miles away from home, and we could feel the love coming from the Bluebird Theater all the way to Iowa. Our friends Quana, Elana and Krissy accepted the award on our behalf.(thank you)

THANK YOU ALL!!! Your votes and support earned Something Underground the title of:

Best Pop Band 2008 in Denver's infamous Westword.

We are so grateful and blessed to have all the love and encouragement from so many people.

We love you all.

Hello wonderful people.

As some of you may know, Josh and I have traveled to Thailand for the next 3 weeks. We are here to live, love and be open to the world. A friend of ours thought we might be going to "find our muse". That seems to work. We will be playing some shows along the way and we'll keep you posted as we go.

Every now and then, we find it beneficial to get out of the fish bowl and shake up our world. We are very blessed to be in a position to take this trip. And we're happy to have our friend Chris, aka SquareDogg, from the Demon Funkies with us.

I just wanted to say that We Love You. This applies to everyone who reads this, and everyone who doesn't.

Until the next post...

Peace (peace, peace, peace.........)

Please take 20 minutes and watch the free video called, The Story of Stuff. Go to http://www.storyofstuff.com/.

This may not be anything new to you. However, the video puts into perspective what has become of our world, and how we got here. Inspiring I think. 2008 is a year for change. The Story of Stuff will paint a general picture about the craziness of our materialistic society, and the consequences of such behavior. Enjoy.

Peace and love,
SUG
