I have updates mixes of both Cold Mountain and Phono to share with you, but I'm afraid they're scattered. For some reason, Myspace hates my new favorite track, and won't process it. If you would like to here the updated Phono mix, check it out here on the glowfish Myspace page. It's gotten a lot better, but it's not in it's final version yet. I want to rework it into a more broken beat sort of thing. The 4-on-the-floor is good, but it's boring to my ears after multiple listens.
 
Inspired by a sit down with some producer friends, I reworked Cold Mountain to be more uptempo and generally more 'intentional'. My original idea of very languid downtempo has been skewed by beat heavier tracks that will be included in the EP. This new working of Cold Mountain, as you may notice, is far more frenetic, and I think much, much better. Check it out here, as a direct mp3 download.

Turns out the title of one of the new glowfish tracks (and tentatively the album) is the name of some Civil War movie with Jude Law and Nicole Kidman. Durr, great Hollywood, thanks a lot. Also, it turns out glowfish (minus the 'w' and with an extra 'i') is the name of a new Eten Smartphone. While I think I can squeeze by with glowfish as the name of the project (I really do like it, and I've already changed it once), Cold Mountain as a track name and album name is nixed. Rather than go change all the track names on the glowfish myspace page, I'm just going to let it be known that all song, album, and project appellations are tentative at best, and subject to change. I'll probably just end up calling the thing something slightly different, like Frigid Stonelumps, or Really Chilly Hill.

Will someone get Kate Bush out of my head? Between the "aroo aroo aroo" doggy samples from Hounds of Love and the entirety of Running Up That Hill, my brain tape is on serious fucking repeat.
