LITTLE BROTHERS FINALE - LIVE RECORDING OUR FINAL LITTLE BROS SHOW: Sunday, June 3 6 PM Doors - ALL AGES FREE ADMISSION for 21+ ($2 for under age) To serve our own needs and to hopefully entertain you, dear mailing list, we've decided to book one final Little Brothers show. Mark your calendar: Sunday, June 3. Here is the good news: it's ALL AGES, it's SUPER EARLY and it's FREE (except $2 for under 21). We also plan to record the show for a proper release on audio and video. Thus, we are going to dig deep and play a very comprehensive set of songs. If you don't know the details about Little Brothers, you can read Dan Dougan's open letter here: http://www.littlebrothers.com/openletter.html But let us paraphrase, not on Dan's behalf of course, but with our own eastern bias: Some prick landlord is strong arming one of the last, potent, independent rock clubs into submission. He's probably going to carve the club into some bullsh!t retail space. This sucks for us, as well as thousands of other local and touring musicians. It also stinks for fans of smart, independent music - Columbus will now be bypassed by even more great bands and the Short North will definitely take a step back on the continuum of awesomeness. Dan, Ike, Ben and everyone who work at Little Brothers have been ridiculously kind to us. The club has provided us with countless opportunities: We've shared the stage with so many great bands, including our heroes (The Posies, Nada Surf, etc) and so many other great bands we call our friends (The Wrens, Pretty Mighty Mighty, The Whiles, Two Cow, etc). We hope you can make it out for one last set at that venue. We plan on bringing the proverbial rock hammer. Seriously. 6 PM, Sunday June 3. You can't beat the price and you'll be home in time to watch your favorite teleprograms. Plus, it's your chance to be a vocal part of a future live release. Sorry for being so mellow-dramatic, but this show means a ton to us. We hope you can make it. xoxo, Billy, Sean, Dangerken and Dr. Dan.

Happy Holidays, punky.
We are currently drafting plans for a spring release of our new album. But we want you to hear a sample of the new stuff NOW. So, at our shows this weekend, we have a free gift for you.
We are pressing and silk screening 500 CD-EPs. The discs feature close calls (from the forthcoming disc) and two other brand new songs that will not be on the new album (one that we recorded with J Robbins and another that we recorded with the Croatian Sensation a.k.a. Sean Sefcik).
Thus, if you make it out to one of the shows this weekend and simply make eye contact with one of us, you get some free music. Free. How about those shows?
Fri. December 16, 2005 Columbus, OH - The High Five with Thistle & Jon Chinn and the 1803
Sat. December 17, 2005 Covington, KY (Cincinnati) - The Mad Hatter with Thistle and Strongest Proof (we play FIRST at 9:30 PM)
In addition to the EP, Danger Ken has silk screened enough new t-shirts to clothe the Portuguese army (which is not huge, but still an army, ya know). The t-shirts, as well as the art from the new single, feature the work of Josh Gerken. Check it! We have to admit, they are the most handsome shirts we have sold: girls & guys styles, super-soft cotton and sweatshop free. We have yet to build a Miranda Sound cotton gin, so the t-shirts are not free. But the EPs, as well as the handshakes and ass-slaps, are free.
Here are some links to help you out: (the revamped and remodeled High Five is wicked sweet)http://www.madhatterclub.com/directions.htm http://www.madhatterclub.com/directions.htm
We hope to see you. But if we do not, have a happy and safe New Year's.
Hugs not drugs, Miranda Sound

This Saturday at Little Brothers, we're celebrating the release of Donewaiting.Com Volume 1, Tiara Vs. Miranda Sound. That's right, we've pressed 500 tasty albums on 12" vinyl (and CD). One side includes four new tracks from Miranda Sound and the other side features our arch rivals, Tiara. Actually, Tiara are our great friends and we're pleased as plums to release a proper album with them. You can take a sneak peak at one of their tracks from the album, Worthwhile. Bob Duffy of Donewaiting.com is the mastermind behind the split, which is being released to celebrate the two year anniversary of his website.
BUT THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY:
For those of you who don't own a record player, we're packaging each record with a CD copy of the album. That's right, mother truckers, you get TWO copies for the price of one: one to spin on the Victrola, another to play in your Subaru on the way to the grocery story. Can it get any better than this?
It sure effing can, you handsome pricks. The album features the artwork of Mr. Clint Reno and is being silk screened by Reno, Gerken and a monkey named Trev. OK, the monkey part is a lie, but the rest is TRUE. We're silk screening these ourselves. So, the artwork is going to be literally hot off the press for Saturday's show.
Please grab a paper bag and breathe slowly. There's more:
The first 100 pressed and sold will be on limited WHITE VINYL. And when I say white, I mean OJ's Bronco, fuzzy, bunny-rabbit white.
Yeah, so come on out and grab a copy of the new record/CD. We're pretty proud of it. The Killionaires will be kicking the night off, followed by Tiara. DJ Riko will be spinning between sets and we'll close the night out.

Hey. Welcome to Miranda Sound's tiny plot on this great website. Our friends from The Hero Pattern (NJ) turned us onto the site. Anyhow, please download one of our songs and say hello. We have a short list of shows this summer, but if you like what you hear, we really think you'll appreciate our live set.
Take care!
